Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX should be contained in an acrylic lined room with the dimensions 4m by 4m by 4m. Acrylic plastic is one of the few materials known to be immune to the effects of XXXX-a, any damaged panes of acrylic should be repaired with urgency. A speaker must be fitted in all four (4) corners of the room. XXXX must be fed one (1) canid per week, level 2 class personnel are free to interact with XXXX as long as they have gone at least twenty four (24) hours without encountering a canid. In the event of a containment breach XXXX-b should be played through the speakers to lure XXXX back to its confinement where it'll sit in silence facing the Eastern wall until XXXX-b stops playing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient reptilian humanoid who claims to be from a time before humans evolved. He has rough scales with a texture and colouration that resembles that of the american alligator (Alligator mississippiensis). His digestive, nervous and circulatory systems are similar to that of [DATA REDACTED] with genitalia that neither confirm or discredit his identification as male. It is possible that his species has evolved genitalia unlike those of any living vertebrate. His age is estimated at around 100,000 years old due to his knowledge up until this point. This however discredits his claim at being around before humans evolved.
Substance XXXX-a is secreted from XXXX's sweat glands and has extreme corrosive properties, organic materials and petroleum products are immune to the effects of substance XXXX-a. The substance is not dangerous to personnel or SCP-XXXX itself, even if ingested. The substance's purpose is revealed in the presence of canids, while to humans it is odourless to canids it promotes excited behaviour and draws them towards SCP-XXXX where he will kill and eat them. Although having apparent sentience he is unable to stop himself from killing and eating those that have come into contact with a canid twenty four (24) hours prior.
XXXX-b is a CD with the words [DATA REDACTED] written on its top side. When played it attracts SCP-XXXX into the room where he will sit and face East until it stops playing. SCP-XXXX was interviewed on the subject of XXXX-b and its origin in addendum XXXX-01 where it was learnt that the track is a lullaby sung by [DATA REDACTED].

SCP-XXXX: What is it you wish to discuss today?
[DATA REDACTED]: The purpose of the CD found with you upon acquisition with the words [DATA REDACTED] on it.
SCP-XXXX: It's a lullaby. It sends my species into a calm state where we face East where the sun rises.
[DATA REDACTED]: Why do you face East when the song is played? Are there more of you?
SCP-XXXX: Two questions at once? You need to break that habit. There were more of us but as far as I know there aren't anymore. I'd rather not say why we face East if that is acceptable.
