Containment Class:
euclid
SCP-001-JRO as found on 14/08/2012.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-001-JRO is to be kept in a 25cm x 15cm x 15cm airtight blast-proof container, with a level three access lock. SCP-001-JRO's cell must also be blast-proof and air-tight, with at minimum a low-security airlock to prevent SCP-001-JRO-1 from diffusing outside of its cell. SCP-001-JRO's cell must also have an observation chamber looking into the cell, with clear view of SCP-001-JRO via both a blast-proof perspex observation screen, and at least one remote security camera. Any personnel or staff caught in the process of opening the access lock to SCP-001-JRO without proper authorisation are to be removed immediately, and must have their access permissions suspended and reviewed until future re-application and approval from the security committee (See Addendum 001-JRO-B).
Description: SCP-001-JRO resembles a 'Sure-Men Sensitive' can of deodorant, which is able to disperse seemingly random substances in the form of vapour or fine dust (Hereafter referred to as SCP-001-JRO-1). When SCP-001-JRO is used (As per the process of using a normal can of deodorant), the form of SCP-001-JRO-1 that is released is dependant on the intents, subconscious thoughts, or otherwise indirect motives of the user. To date, SCP-001-JRO seems to be capable of producing any substance that the user seemingly needs at the moment they are thinking of using it, so long as SCP-001-JRO-1 does not threaten the destruction of SCP-001-JRO. SCP-001-JRO was discovered on 14/08/2012, in the small coastal town of ██████, United Kingdom. The foundation was alerted of its existence when Agent Thompson- who was alerted of an incident involving a child who had proposedly killed her parents and pet dog during in an incident involving SCP-001-JRO (See incident report under Addendum 001-JRO-A).
Addendum 001-JRO-A: A full incident report recovered and removed from ██████ Police Department following the events of Event-JRO-001-A. All witnesses and non-foundation Police force were later given amnestics when interviewed by Agent Thompson, and a cover story has been established relating to a nearby gas leak explosion in the building in which SCP-001-JRO was located in.
Incident Report 001-JRO-A: Audio excerpt from SCP-001-JRO recovery A on 14/08/2012, at 14:25GMT. Report is from 7 minutes after Agent Thompson reported the incident to the local Task Force station, as he was first on scene after being on call-out from a separate non-correlated civilian incident.
14:25 - Start of recording
14:25 - T1Lead: Control, entering the building now.
14:25 - Control: Task One Lead, loud and clear. Be advised that there may be explosives in the area. Thompson reported seeing a 16-foot fireball.
14:25 - T1Lead: Copy that. Ground floor looks clear, we're going to speed this up as there looks to be some kind of explosive damage on the northwestern corner of the building, could be putting stress on structural integrity.
14:26 - Control: Sounds good, Jones, let us know what you see.
14:26 - T1 can be heard searching the building, building can be heard to begin falling apart
14:27 - T1Lead: Control, come in.
14:27 - Control: We're listening, what do you have?
14:27 - T1Lead: Uh, a kid. Looks really upset. Kid, you okay?
14:28 - Audio can be heard of a child crying, audio of building falling apart increasing in frequency and volume
14:28 - Child: I didn't mean to… I didn't…
14:28 - T1Lead: Kid, we need to move you now, your house is going to collapse.
14:29 - Child: I don't want to leave Charlie. Leave me alone.
14:29 - Control: Task One, who's Charlie?
14:29 - T1Lead: I think it's the dog, Control. She's standing in front of a dead dog. Kid, we need to move you right now. Let's go.
14:30 - Child: NO! DON'T TOUCH ME!
14:30 - T1Lead: She's spraying deodorant or pepper spray or something, kid put the spray do-
14:30 - Audio of weapons discharging, building collapsing
14:32 - Control: Task One, come in.
14:32 - Radio static
14:33 - Control: Task One, please report.
14:33 - Radio static
14:34 - Control: Task One?
14:34 - Radio static
14:34 - Control: Thompson, prepare a recovery. What can you see from your end?
14:34 - Thompson: Will do, and nothing. Rubble and fire, control.
14:34 - Control: Send the recovery ASAP, and make sure they have a bomb squad.
14:35 - Thompson: Copy that.
14:35 - Audio cut-off with Thompson, and radio static ends
14:35 - Control: Deodorant my ass.
14:35 - End of Recording
Incident Report 001-JRO-B: A recovery log made by Team Two Lead, who were sent to recover SCP-001-JRO, along with any other evidence or equipment salvageable from the events of SCP-001-JRO Recovery A.
RECOVERY LOG CODE: SCP-001-JRO-B
DATE: 14/08/2012
RECOVERY LOG LEAD: Task Two Lead Sgt. Hansen
AUTHORISATION: Dr. James Richards Ordae
LOG: Task two recovery team entered the last noted location of SCP-001-JRO at 14:42GMT, on August 14th, 2012. Pvt. Phelps and Pvt. Alton were instructed to watch the perimeter of the building with Agent Thompson to prevent civilians from entering the premises of the recovery mission. The recovery operation took approximately 45 minutes from arrival at premises to exit, mainly due to the circumstances of the recovery- the building was almost completely levelled as a result of the events of Recovery A, and recovery of corpses from said event was required for analysis of SCP-001-JRO-1.
At 15:27GMT Task Two successfully left the premises of the recovery operation with the requisitioned items, and Agent Thompson had begun rounding up witnesses with his team for interview and presumably amnestic intervention. Task Two then transported SCP-001-JRO to Site Epsilon for permanent containment and research, and deposited other requested items with the respective recovered item analysis team. Task two arrived at Site Epsilon at 21:32GMT, and finished debriefing and exiting Site Epsilon at 22:01GMT. The deposited itinerary is as follows:
- SCP-001-JRO, unscathed.
- 7 of 9 members of Task One recovery team DECEASED. Each with similar third-degree burns and blunt object trauma to head, torso, and legs.
- 1 of 9 members of Task One recovery team SEVERELY INJURED. Identified as Pvt. Giles after surgery was required to detach molten goggles from face. Pvt. Giles also exhibited third-degree burns to torso and legs, but was protected from blunt object trauma by the corpse of another Task One member which had shielded him. Psyche evaluation advised.
- 1 of 9 members of Task One recovery team INJURED. Identified as Cpt. Jones. Exhibited third-degree burns to torso and legs, but no blunt object trauma. Jones was located underneath a stairwell which maintained structural integrity, presumably why he survived the collapse of the building. Full debrief logged separately.
- 1 Animal Corpse, Rottweiler (Canis lupus familiaris), DECEASED. Corpse exhibited third degree burns, presumed to be cause of death. Corpse was protected from blunt object trauma by corpse of a young girl (See Incident Report 001-JRO-A). Collar on dog reads "Charlie".
- 1 Young girl, DECEASED. Identified later through correlation with address and census information as ██████ █████. Corpse exhibited six (6) bullet wounds across the head and torso, along with severe blunt object trauma to the torso and legs.
- 2 Adults (One male, one female) both DECEASED. Identified later through correlation with address and census information as █████ and ████████ █████, mother and father of the deceased child found. Both corpses exhibit similar blunt object trauma, but underneath debris from the building both exhibited signs of acid damage, along with a sticky translucent yellow liquid. Sent to forensics.
- One (1) Kong brand dogs' red toy bone, chewed and slightly heat-damaged.
Incident Report 001-JRO-C: Audio excerpt from SCP-001-JRO Task One recovery team lead Cpt. Jones's post-recovery interview. Interviewed by Dr. Ordae, regarding the specific events leading to the fundamental failure of Task One recovery team's operation, and any other information that was not recorded from Recovery A's audio log. Dated to 16/08/2012.
10:30 - Start of recording
10:30 - Dr. Ordae: Date is the 16th of August, 2012. Time is 10:30GMT, interviewer is me, Doctor James Richards Ordae, interviewee is Captain Edmond Seth Jones.
10:30 - Audio is heard of Dr. Ordae organising papers, clicking a pen, writing, and then sliding papers to Cpt. Jones
10:30 - Dr. Ordae: Captain Jones, please confirm that you were the lead to Task One recovery team on recovery mission 001-JRO-A, August 14th, 2012.
10:31 - Cpt. Jones: Correct.
10:31 - Dr. Ordae: Great, let's get started.
10:31 - There is a small pause as Dr. Ordae shuffles some papers, and then clears his throat
10:31 - Dr. Ordae: So, you arrive at the location that Agent Thompson reported. Give us a run-down of what the site was like at the time of arrival.
10:32 - Cpt. Jones: Sure, uh, so… Before we get out of the truck, first thing I really noticed was the road.
10:32 - Dr. Ordae: The road?
10:32 - Cpt. Jones: Yeah. It was awful. Think my balls probably look like Giles' face after driving down that road. House was about the same, really. Walls were mossy and cracked, front door barely hanging on its hinges.
10:32 - Dr. Ordae: How about when you went in. Did you see anyone apart from the girl?
10:33 - Cpt. Jones: Nah. Parents must've been upstairs, we'd just about finished checking the ground floor when we checked the last room with the girl in it, so we didn't get to check.
10:33 - Dr. Ordae: Right… And what was the damage like to the building? Thompson reported a "Fireball", so we presume there was fire or explosive damage before the incident with the girl?
10:33 - Cpt. Jones: Yeah, place was quite literally falling apart, hence why I said we were going to speed things up mid-op. Windows at the back of the house were blown out, and before I entered the room with the girl in I could see a huge hole in the ceiling and the wall. Like someone put a big stack of C4 in the corner of the ceiling and then set the rubble on fire.
10:33 - Dr. Ordae: Interesting. Was there any anomalous properties about the damage done?
10:34 - Cpt. Jones: The hole that was there from the explosion or fireball that Thompson was almost a perfect circle, apart from the way some of the wall had crumbled from the damage. And directly above us the ceiling surface had really bad damp. It was all yellow and sticky, and it ran down the wall on the northwestern side of the house, same place as where the damage was. Didn't really seem too odd though, place was really old.
10:34 - Dr. Ordae: Well, anything you can remember helps the research.
10:34 - Cpt. Jones: Right.
10:34 - Dr. Ordae: How about the room with the girl in it. Anything abnormal?
10:34 - Cpt. Jones: There were burn marks on the carpet that led up to that dead dog. Like a cone kind of shape on the floor. Image if someone shot a flamethrower at it. Poor thing.
10:34 - Dr. Ordae: But the child was upset about the dog dying?
10:34 - Cpt. Jones: Well, yeah. It took me a second to put two and two together, but she looked hysteric with anxiety. If she did kill that thing, I don't get the feeling she did it on purpose.
10:35 - Dr. Ordae: The dog did had a record of being aggressive- if you open the file I've given you there's some specific information.
10:35 - There is a brief pause as Cpt. Jones flicks through some of the information in said file
10:35 - Cpt. Jones: Ah. Yeah. In that case, I'd say probably self defence. If she did to that dog what she did to us, I wouldn't be surprised.
10:35 - Dr. Ordae: Interesting. So you don't think she was acting with the intention to cause grievances upon your team?
10:35 - Cpt. Jones: Oh, yeah, but she didn't actually make a move with the deodorant thing until Giles went to get her out of there. That's when she freaked out and sprayed the thing at us.
10:36 - Dr. Ordae: Finally, and I understand this may be difficult for you to remember, but when she did activate SCP-001-JRO, did you notice any discernible differences in what was emitted in comparison to the video of the fireball that Thompson showed us earlier?
10:36 - Cpt. Jones: Honestly, all I really can think of is that the emission was blue. Like a blue flame, from a Bunsen burner. That kind of thing. Once she sprayed it, it must've shot up the central wall, only thing holding the roof up. I just dived under the stairs cause the place started coming down straight after it happened.
10:36 - Dr. Ordae: Thank you, Edmond. We've got some really useful stuff.
10:36 - Cpt. Jones: No problem.
10:36 - End of recording
Incident Report 001-JRO-D: An image taken by Task Two recovery team's photographic assessment supervisor after recovering SCP-001-JRO and all relevant items. Timestamp: 15:27GMT, 14/08/2012.
Addendum 001-JRO-B: Test results logged regarding experimentation with different personnel holding and activating SCP-001-JRO. All tests were supervised by Dr. Ordae. All D-Class are Site-Epsilon specific, unless otherwise stated.
Test Log ID: 001-JRO-T1
Subject & Processes: D-523, convicted of 2nd-degree murder and animal abuse. Placed in test chamber and was exposed to a ten-minute psychological film positively depicting the execution of animals from slaughterhouses. D-523 was then handed SCP-001-JRO, and requested to use it on a live specimen of a pig (Sus scrofa domesticus) which was led into the room by D-524. D-523 complied without protest.
Results: SCP-001-JRO-1 consisted of a fine transparent vapour, which when landing on the specimen caused it an audible amount of distress. After 16 seconds of sustained spray from SCP-001-JRO, the specimen expired. After 52 seconds of sustained use, smoke slowly began to fill the chamber, as a result of the specimen seemingly burning. D-523 was instructed to maintain the use of SCP-001-JRO, and D-523 complied without protest. After 2 minutes and 52 seconds of use, SCP-001-JRO ceased dispensing, and Dr. Ordae activated the interior ventilation. The specimen was then taken for autopsy, and both D-Classes were returned to their cells. Upon autopsy, the specimen was noted to be "Cooked to perfection" in the words of Dr. Milton, and was given to D-523 and D-524 for their daily meal. Both D-Classes showed great delight in this action, with D-523 describing the meal as "Just how mother used to make it". No further anomalous activity was detected, and both D-Classes were returned to the normal basic meal schedule.
Test Log ID: 001-JRO-T2
Subject & Processes: D-224, convicted twice of 2nd-degree murder, and multiple drug-related convictions. D-224 was exposed to an hour-long educational video depicting weaponry and tactics used in World War One.
Results: SCP-001-JRO-1 consisted of a thick murky white gas, which quickly settled on the floor of the testing chamber once dispensed. D-224 showed no signs of abnormal behaviour at this point. D-224 was then requested to lay down in SCP-001-JRO-1, in response to which D-224 reluctantly obliged. Once D-224 was submerged in the substance, D-224 immediately started convulsing and choking, showing observably similar symptoms to those of a human subjected to diphosgene (trichloromethane chloroformate), a toxic gas used primarily in chemical warfare during World War One.
Test Log ID: 001-JRO-T3
Subject & Processes: D-302, convicted of four counts of 3rd-degree murder, and animal abuse. D-302 was subjected to an hour-long educational video depicting the usage of animals in combat and the usage of animals in therapeutic instances. D-302 was then presented with a Rottweiler (Canis lupus familiaris) of similar age and appearance to that of the deceased pet dog found during the recovery of SCP-001-JRO. The dog was then anaesthetised, and exhibited to non-lethal burns similar to those observed on the corpse of said pet. D-302 was instructed to used SCP-001-JRO on the animal.
Results: SCP-001-JRO-1 consisted of a wispy, white substance, visually similar to a dense lattice of web produced by common spiders. Once SCP-001-JRO-1 settled on the damaged regions of the animal, the lattice became viscous and transparent, and seemed to slowly dissipate into the wounds. Dr. Grenham described the substance as "Like jellied water". After exactly 1 minute, SCP-001-JRO-1 had completely covered the wounded regions of the animal. After another 58 seconds, SCP-001-JRO-1 had completely lost all transparency, and seemed to visually match the colour of the bare skin of the animal. After another 47 seconds, the animal awoke from the anaesthetics, with no signs of aggression or discomfort. The animal was observed to even walk to D-302, and nuzzle D-302's legs out of excitement. D-302 was then asked to hold the animal, and gently press on the wounded area with his thumb. D-302 complied, and did so. The animal exhibited no reaction to pain or discomfort, and simply turned its head to D-302, rolled over, and wagged its tail at D-302.

| Fig 1.1 - SCP-002-JRO Before containment in Site-██. |
Special Containment Procedures: To preserve the effects of SCP-002-JRO, the foundation have constructed Containment Site-██ in the appearance of a biogas plant, with additional chemical hazard visual deception precautions, along with a 10-man undercover armed security detail positioned in nearby rooftop stations with direct lines of sight on the main perimeter of the property. SCP-002-JRO must be further contained within the room it was discovered in, as relocation of SCP-002-JRO or any disruption of its immediate original location could risk affecting or altogether removing the effects of SCP-002-JRO. SCP-002-JRO's original room should be surrounded by 5-inch reinforced concrete walls on all sides in order to prevent breach of containment from exterior forces. The entrance door to SCP-002-JRO's enclosure should be restricted by Level 3 access permissions.
| Glen Tanar Forest |
 |
| Fig 2.1 - Exit POV of SCP-002-JRO at Glen Tanar Forest. |
Description: SCP-002-JRO bears the appearance of a mid-20th century log-burning fireplace. It was obtained by the foundation on 23/01/2014, in the region of ██████████, Scotland. The original owner of the fireplace reported the abnormal qualities of SCP-002-JRO to the local police department (which the foundation intercepted via active listening post #███) when their infant child went missing (See Addendum 002-JRO-A).
SCP-002-JRO appears to possess the ability to transport subjects who enter SCP-002-JRO (when the flames are lit) to Glen Tanar Woods, Scotland the location of which SCP-002-JRO's fuel is sourced from (See Addendum 002-JRO-B). The physical limits of SCP-002-JRO's transport distance and anomalous effects are currently believed to be limitless, however the furthest SCP-002-JRO has been recorded to have transported a human being is currently ~4500km, when SCP-002-JRO transported a D-Class from Containment Site-██ to a forest surrounding the immediate location of the Taz River, in central Russia.
The transportation ability possessed by SCP-002-JRO is recorded to be dependant on the source location of the fuel burned within SCP-002-JRO, whilst also only successfully transporting subjects when the fuel burned is wood which has been obtained by felling a tree no younger than 46 years old. The process of obtaining such wood must also be manual, using either an axe or saw for both the felling of the source tree and the bucking to produce logs or kindling small enough to fit inside SCP-002-JRO (See Addendum 002-JRO-C).
Addendum 002-JRO-A: A full containment report following the foundation's acquisition of SCP-002-JRO. The original owners of the property housing SCP-002-JRO were later given amnestics post-interview, and a cover story has been established relating to a fracking company which recently acquired the land from the original owners.
Incident Report 002-JRO-A: Audio excerpt from an intercepted phone call to a foundation-supervised Emergency Services Unit in ██████████, Scotland. The call was made from the mother of her infant child who had gone missing in an event hereafter referenced as event "002-JRO-Alpha", after the father realised the child had gone missing from its play area in their living room. Dated to 23rd January, 2014. Identity protection warrants caller to be designated cover name "Mary".
13:12 - Start of call
13:12 - Operator: Emergency Services, please clearly state the services you require-
13:12 - Mary: [Audibly distressed] Police! Please! My baby's gone, she's missing.
13:12 - Operator: When did you last see your baby?
13:13 - Mary: [Crying] Just a few minutes ago… She was in our living room with my husband, her father, and now she's gone, we don't know where.
13:13 - Operator: Okay madam, I know you are distressed and I'm going to be with you on the phone until the police arrive.
13:13 - Mary: [Hyperventilating] Okay, okay…
13:14 - Operator: Madam, the police have been dispatched to your location. The call is coming from ██ ██████ ████, ██████████, [Mary]'s phone. Is this address and name correct?
13:14 - Mary: [Hyperventilating] Yes. Yeah…
13:14 - Operator: Okay. I'm going to ask you a few questions, they may seem obvious or pointless, but please answer them as accurately as you can.
13:14 - Mary: Okay.
13:14 - Operator: Who else was present, or is now with you before and after you noticed your child was missing?
13:14 - Mary: Just me and my husband, nobody else.
13:15 - Operator: Alright, and did you notice anybody near or around the premises of your property before or around the time you noticed your child was missing?
13:15 - Mary: No, nobody.
13:15 - Operator: Please can you quickly check any entry points such as windows, doors, or sizeable holes for openings.
13:15 - Mary: Okay, hold on.
13:15 - Audio of Mary briefly checking the house, asking her husband to help her look
13:16 - Mary: Nothing's open.
13:16 - Operator: Thank you. Now I'm going to ask you to stay on the phone until the police arrive, is that okay?
13:16 - Mary: Okay, thank you.
13:16 - Operator: No problem.
13:22 - Near silence for the following 6 minutes, at which point sirens can be heard slowly fading in as the police arrive
13:23 - Mary: The police are here.
13:23 - Operator: Okay [Mary], I'm going to leave you with them now, okay?
13:23 - Mary: Okay. Goodbye.
13:23 - Operator: Goodbye.
13:23 - End of call
| SCP-003-JRO |
 |
Fig 1.1 - SCP-003-JRO (Lower Left) approximately 14km
above Mars. Image taken by SCPF-SAT "Overseer".
Dated to 22/04/1974. |
Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-003-JRO being a supermassive biological construct in a deep orbit of Mars, its position and anomalous disruptive abilities mean that it is currently beyond the logistical reach and capabilities of the foundation to contain it properly and/or efficiently. Therefore, methods of direct containment are still under research and development by research team 003-Artemis (based at Site Epsilon), and directed by Dr Ordae.
Description: First discovered by the foundation in 20/10/1973, SCP-003-JRO is a sentient predatory biological mass, currently orbiting Mars at a maximum orbital height of approximately 14.32km. The origin of SCP-003-JRO is currently unknown, but damaged tissue samples recovered from dead detached segments of SCP-003-JRO's flesh determine that its DNA bears attributes shared commonly between the average female Human (Homo Sapien).
Whilst SCP-003-JRO possesses various anomalous abilities which defy the constraints of its biological anatomy, SCP-003-JRO's main, most obvious ability is its capabilities of illusion, and deception. SCP-003-JRO is recorded to produce a signal that, when intercepted, appears to be a distress call, or request of some kind. The exact nature of said signal is dependant on the individual who hears it, seemingly changing and varying to match the psychological weaknesses of any listener, and causing them to be persuaded to assist SCP-003-JRO by any means possible (see Addendum 003-JRO-A).
Upon a successful journey to reach SCP-003-JRO and assist it, the subject(s) who made such journey are reported to feel a sense of immediate dread and terror as they enter a ~4.2km radius zone surrounding SCP-003-JRO, at which point all electrical functions of any vessel or device used by subject(s) attempting to assist SCP-003-JRO cease to function completely, except from any systems which are a necessity to keep the subject(s) alive.
| Closest Digital Image taken of SCP-003-JRO |
 |
Fig 1.2 - Closest Digital Image taken of SCP-003-JRO
from the perimeter of its ~4.2km electronically disruptive
"deadzone". Dated to 30/07/1974. |
After being within the zone surrounding SCP-003-JRO for a considerable duration (a recorded maximum length of 32 minutes), subjects will slowly begin to feel exhausted, and eventually fall asleep. Subjects that lose consciousness by these means have not been recorded to have regained complete consciousness again before being physically incapacitated by SCP-003-JRO. This coma-like state is believed to be initially induced by SCP-003-JRO emitting a frequency of radio wave which penetrates the standard radiation protection of most spacecraft, and somehow interferes with the electronic signals in a subject's brain, inciting a sudden urge for rest. The exact intricacies of this anomalous ability used by SCP-003-JRO to incapacitate prey are currently unknown, as they should not function in accordance to current understandings of scientific principles.
Upon direct arrival and physical contact with SCP-003-JRO, the subject(s) and, if applicable, its vessel are immediately absorbed into SCP-003-JRO's flesh, and visibly sink beneath the surface until fully submerged. Large dead tissue mass recovered from the orbital plane of SCP-003-JRO suggest that SCP-003-JRO is hollow to an extent, with each non-biological item absorbed given its own pocket of air or matter (seemingly varies dependant on the basic survival needs of the subject). As the pocket forms beneath the flesh of SCP-003-JRO containing the subject(s), it is recorded that SCP-003-JRO incites subjects' bodies to produce an influx of dopamine, forcing the subject into a dream-like state of unconscious euphoria. Whilst subjects are unconscious, SCP-003-JRO will provide habitable conditions for its absorbed subjects, and slowly will secrete an extremely corrosive, colourless, and odourless substance (hereafter referred to as SCP-003-JRO-1) which possesses anomalous anaesthetic properties. SCP-003-JRO-1 is regarded as sentient, as it is capable of moving, changing size, and selectively choosing which matter to dissolve. SCP-003-JRO-1 will proceed to slowly expand to fill the pocket- which contains its victim and any other matter- and slowly dissolve any physical matter into a viscous liquid which is then absorbed into the flesh of SCP-003-JRO (see Addendum 003-JRO-B).
SCP-003-JRO-1's anaesthetic properties result in the victim remaining unconscious for the entire process of their assimilation, with SCP-003-JRO-1 leaving all major life-critical organs and systems undamaged. Once all selected matter has been dissolved into SCP-003-JRO, the victim will proceed to regain consciousness, whilst having lost all senses and bodily functions. SCP-003-JRO will keep such victims alive until they expire "naturally", but due to the nature of their existence after assimilation, normally die of septic shock within 6-10 hours of ingestion. Those who survive this initial phase of assimilation are recorded to remained alive until expiry from brain rot, resultant from residue of SCP-003-JRO-1 seeping into the remaining tissue of its victims. Once victims expire post-ingestion, what is left of their corpses (normally the brain, nervous system, and circulatory system) is ejected from SCP-003-JRO into its orbital plane, from which a majority of the samples used for research have been gathered (see Addendum 003-JRO-C).
Addendum 003-JRO-A: A record of tests conducted on various D-Class personnel, each test involving the initial contact signal emitted by SCP-003-JRO being played for subjects to provoke a notable reaction.
Research Log 003-JRO-A: A transcript from the audio record of the first test using D-Class subjects and exposing them to the first transmissions intercepted from SCP-003-JRO.
