Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5257 is to be kept within a standard containment locker in Wing-C, Sublevel-2 of Site-19. Once per day, SCP-5257 is to be retrieved by Dr. Gibbs to discuss everyday topics. If this requirement is not met, SCP-5257 will show signs of physical pain and sadness, often shying away from personnel and curling up in the corner of a page for the remainder of the day. SCP-5257's conversation is required to be longer than five minutes, and after that time is completed SCP-5257 will return to normal for the rest of the day.

Description: SCP-5257 is a crudely drawn stick figure, at stands at two centimeters on the pages. SCP-5257 appears to be trapped on a notebook found during Addendum-5257-1, and cannot get away from the book, but can move between pages in it. When SCP-5257 is questioned about its past, the subject appears to only remember still images of the past.

The book containing SCP-5257 appears as a ██████-brand school notebook. It has been determined that the notebook itself possesses no anomalous properties, and SCP-5257 alone is responsible for the anomalous phenomena.

Discovery: SCP-5257 was discovered after embedded agents within the ██ ████████ Medical Center, █████████ discovered the anomaly after ████ █████, a patient at the medical center, had reported their drawing 'coming to life' and agents quickly responded to the situation. The subject who claimed their drawing had come to life was a 12-year-old boy, and following interviews with the subject and the mother, both were amnesticized following standard civilian contact protocols.

Closing Statement: After several aptitude tests were administered to SCP-5257, it appears that SCP-5257 scored in the bottom 10th percentile. This suggests that SCP-5257 displays the intelligence level of a child. It is currently theorized that SCP-5257 took the level of intelligence that ████ █████ possessed.

Addendum-5257-1: Following the death of ████ █████. SCP-5257 displayed deep emotional pain even though SCP-5257 was relocated to Site-89, more than ██ kilometers away.
