Special containment procedures: Currently SCP-XXXX is stored within a Safe class containment locker in Site-20. Only personnel with level 3 clearance are allowed access to SCP-XXXX and level 4 clearance and higher is needed to conduct tests with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX should not leave the facility without level 4 supervision.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears as a regular conductor’s baton, decorated with intricate ivory carvings at both ends. Despite the more modern design the baton dates back to ancient Egypt, 3100 BC according to an ancient tablet located at the most recent user’s household. The most recent notable wielder of SCP-XXXX was Kleiber, the man considered the world’s greatest conductor although Franz Joseph Haydn - infamous Austrian composer - is notorious for having a baton which shares many physical similarities.
SCP-XXXX, when wielded properly, has the ability to change the tempo(pace) of everything within a 50m radius. This increases or decreases the rate of actions, slowing or speeding every action or process, such as ageing. Note: SCP-XXXX does not reverse of skip time, only how fast something happens. Victims exposed to 1 hour+ of slowed time begin to show the following symptoms: decreased reaction time, slower movement and a decreased ageing rate. On the contrary victims exposed to 1 hour+ of increased speed show the opposite symptoms: significantly faster reaction times, faster movements and rapid ageing. 1 year to a subject with a decreased ageing rate shows to be 20 years to an average human and the inverse for a subject with an increased ageing rate. It has been noted by the foundation that any effects on a subject can be reversed by SCP-XXXX, however lost years are not returned.
Note: when not wielded with the skill of a conductor no anomalous effects occur.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX first came into the foundation’s knowledge when security camera footage was circulating on social media of a man reportedly slowing time to pick pocket civilians. All footage was deleted by the foundation and a retrieval was sent to secure SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX was found in possession by ██████ ███, Kleiber’s apprentice. It became clear through an interrogation that ██████ ███ has used SCP-XXXX to prolong his life. An investigation at ██████ ███’s residence, staged as a police raid, led to the discovery of several letters and a tablet documenting SCP-XXXX’s origins and its previous owners(see addendum).

Ancient Egyptian tablet translation:
The earliest dated record of SCP-XXXX appears to be a broken tablet of Egyptian origin with only a few hieroglyphics.
We received a gift from the gods. Today we will party, Egypt has won! Egypt has its first pharaoh. After [Missing Data] Horus, the god of time has gifted us this item. With this we [Missing Data] our leader.

Diary entry out of Harry Houdini’s diary.
Dear Diary. 15/11/1881
Today has been most peculiar, I stumbled across a sealed box in my basement which I don’t recall owning.
I managed to open the box to find a tablet and a weird wand shaped stick.Out curiosity I waved said stick as my music teacher in school does and accidentât knocked over a box, however it slowly fell to the ground. I believe I have come across a real magic wand. I will practise every day and become the best magician, but I have decided not to tell my mum or dad incase they take it like they did to my hat.

Letter from 1914:
The black hand.
I am writing to you all today as I believe God is on our side. I have come into possession of powerful artefact and a rather strange tablet and paper. With this new power on our side we will be able to proceed with our plans. On national Serb day we will strike. The Archduke has announced he is visiting and in our favour he has decided for his trip to be informal, meaning no guards will be present. As impossible as this may seem with God on our side we will prevail. Franz Ferdinand will fall into our hands.

From this letter we can deduce that Princip used SCP-XXXX to assassinate Franz Ferdinand and thus start World War One. This conveys how impactful a being in possession of SCP-XXXX can be. It remains unknown how this letter ended up in the hands of Kleiber and how SCP-XXXX went from Houdini’s possession to Princip’s.
Record 1.4
Kleiber’s letter:
If you are reading this it means I am dead and you have found my most prized possession - my baton. With this I was able to conduct orchestras worth of musicians and perform music to perfection. I do not understand how this is possible or what these other letters mean, but I do know the baton is powerful and can be used for dreadful things, so I beg that whoever is reading this please bury the baton and never dig it up. - Kleiber.
With all of this information we have deemed SCP-XXXX to not be used with level 4 clearance.
