Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX’s inability to be moved, an informal site now known as Site 808, has been established to prevent further civilian interaction, Site 808 is comprised of SCP-XXXX, Building A, known as Site 808A, and a large concrete wall surrounding SCP-XXXX’s sphere of influence, distinguished here-after as SCP-XXXXa.
Due to SCP-XXXX’s somewhat unique psychological abilities, on-site staff must be rotated to Building A just outside of SCP-XXXXa and administered a psychological screening to determine their potential self-hazard. Staff that does not pass the screening may be administered an amnestic of Class B or lower. Amnestics should be administered if psychological treatment cannot help them. In extreme cases, staff should be administered an amnestic and sent away to another facility or deployment to lower their chances of inflicting harm upon themselves.
SCP-XXXXa is a large area surrounding SCP-XXXX approximately 25 Acres in size. The wall must remain actively charged at all times and monitored for signs of damage. SCP-XXXXa extends across all of it’s acreage and to it’s front yard picket fence. Staff are not to set foot beyond the picket fence nor are they to leave the walk-way provided upon the wall. Staff that do so willingly and not under the stress of psychological convincement are to be terminated. Class D Personnel are the only personnel to be let on-site.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a French Creole style home located in Louisiana's Bayou area close to the town of █████. SCP-XXXX has also staked claim to it’s own entire acreage as well extending from the furthest back of the plot to the picket fence and off to it’s east and west edges. It is due to this reason the wall itself must be built as close to yet outside of it’s range. A classic wooden swing is suspended from an oak tree in the front yard. Initial testing of the tree reveals a longer lifespan than should be possible considering it’s apparent age.
The House itself is a light yellow color with white accents and a light gray roof. It appears to have been built seemingly during the acquisition of Louisiana by French colonists. A droid aptly named Creole-1 has confirmed that the house is in an almost perfect condition, though examinations by Class D Personnel have confirmed that both electricity and water have been cut-off. This has been concluded to be on the part of the town rather than an abnormal issue. Both utilities seem to function correctly though electricity seems only to be usable from sunset until dawn.
SCP-XXXX has in the past not needed any form of psychological calls in order to attract people inside. Many town locals and ghost hunters looking for a story have come willingly to the house until the acquisition by the SCP Foundation. Thereafter the house no longer received a constant flow of casualties.
SCP-XXXX previously relied on random chance to obtain people but now utilizes a call where (most likely) a staff member can hear thoughts in their head such as “It’s just a quick beer, no one needs to know”, “A thirty minute nap never hurt anyone”, and “It’s lunch time, surely no one will mind if the swing is sat on.” Otherwise convincing staff that “trespassing isn’t that big of a deal.”
SCP-XXXX’s real concern is that when 6 people enter the house they are re-organized into a “family.” Family members include ‘Papa/Father/Pa’, ‘Ma/Mother’, ‘Junior’, ‘Anabelle’, and ‘Little _’ with the last individual’s name and gender remaining constant. Parties larger than six (6) see an instance in which excess individuals become listed as “staff” and are otherwise left unscathed. SCP-XXXX will not create a new family until the 6 person threshold has been reached. Regardless of age, gender, race and certain physical deformities, each of the main six family members (6) have universal similarities. Physical deformities that SCP-XXXX seem to correct include such things as hunched backs and slouching. Handicaps such as wheelchair bound patients are left alone except in the instance where someone becomes ‘Little _” who may or may not have had their handicap corrected. Mental disabilities seem to also have been cured. Most other permanent injuries such as scars appear to remain unchanged.
SCP-XXXX seems to have a recharge rate of 2 days before it is primed and ready to create another family. Each family is categorized into a Family Album which contains all families in the form of a family photograph relevant to the time period of the mid 1800s relatively close to or around the Civil War. Whether or not the Civil War takes place in the world these “families” seemingly vanish to remains up for debate. It is presumed that each family occupies some form of space somewhere else with each one living and growing up having assumed the identities SCP-XXXX has designated for them.
Addendum XXXX-01: Interracial group of Class D Personnel entered. Each individual became the same race as (presumably) Father, this is likely due to the time period. Several more tests like this confirmed that the family does not have to be Caucasian and can be Black, Asian, Indian, Latino, or even Native American despite that according to our own history non-Caucasian european families could not own property. This suggests that either no Civil War has happened, Slavery has never happened, Racial Prejudice did not exist with the formation of America or a varied combination of such.
Addendum XXXX-02: Six (6) mixed race individuals of Black and Caucasian descent were sent into the house in an attempt to see whether or not the house would set them as a mixed race family or not. SCP-XXXX took an extended period of time most likely in an attempt to understand mixed race individuals which suggests some form of slavery as history recognized maternal custody. With no defined mother for Father or Mother, SCP-XXXX seemed to struggle. This seems to happen each time with a family being output as either one or the other but the result seems to be mostly random with no discernable reasoning behind it’s choice.
Addendum XXXX-03: Further and more complex mixed race individuals were put forth with SCP-XXXX taking longer and longer to determine which race is to be the output. Percentage does not seem to determine it’s choice. I.e. 50% Caucasian, 25% Black, 25% Asian would logically suggest that Caucasian is the best choice in this scenario. SCP-XXXX does not seem to notice genetic percentage rather simply personnel’s genetic race.
Addendum XXXX-04: Gender does not seem to confuse SCP-XXXX. It has no problem restructuring gender to fit the predetermined two (2) males, two (2) females, and an undetermined 5th gender which seems to be either or. Furthermore, if two (2) of each gender plus one randomly selected gender, seems to be easiest as it seemingly just has to choose which of the males becomes Father and Junior, which female becomes Mother or Anabelle and which “spare” gender becomes Little __. Finally it seems that when presented with the easiest possible choice (two (2) of each gender) the affected seem to match their childhood or younger adult photos during that age of their life previously before becoming a part of a “family”.
Addendum XXXX-05: Cloned individuals requested for testing. Approved.
Cloned individuals seem to have a 28% survival rate in which the majority of the time they are reduced to either ash or a [DATA EXPUNGED]. Those that survive seem to beat the odds of rapid aging such as those with SCP-038 and appear to continue their lives as previous families have before them.
Addendum XXXX-06: Cloning of and use of SCPs requested for testing. Denied.
