Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be kept in a steel box, with argon continuously pumped into the airtight box in order to keep the entity from using its powers. The box should be kept in a 5m by 5m cube cell, with security cameras placed in each corner of the cell. No door or window should be placed in the cell, and the box should remain locked at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small VHS tape dating back to 1985, with a strange blinking red light placed in the corner of the videotape. If played, SCP-XXXX will feature disturbing footage of a number of things, with the footage changing depending on the user's memories. Known footage that SCP-XXXX has shown includes the hanging of a child, a bear trap closing over a person's face, a woman impaled on a shard of an unknown material, an eldrich being destroying Earth, and a masked man dismembered and strung between two buildings, a suicide, etc. Continous viewing of SCP-XXXX will cause these events to appear around the viewer in time with the events onscreen. Eventually, the tape will show the death of the viewer, who then becomes known as SCP-XXXX-X. A wide array of deaths ranging from drowning, being eaten by a shark, struck by lightning, crushed, strangled, stabbed, dismembered, burned alive and skinned alive are currently documented, but more have occurred. The death that occurred on the screen will then occur by any means possible.
