SCP-XXXX-1

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 10m x 10m x 3m lead box. SCP-XXXX is to be guarded at all times. Unauthorized individuals that attempt to come into contact with or go near SCP-XXXX will be transported to the nearest site location and given a Class B Amnestic. No individual is permitted to enter SCP-XXXX without authorization from level 3 personnel or higher. The area around SCP-XXXX is to be cleaned of rocks, dust, and other slippery substances and objects daily.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a pair of concrete holes located in a building under construction in ███████, ██. Each crater is approximately .52 meters in diameter (at its widest point). The concrete around SCP-XXXX is cracked and appears to have been smashed from the inside of the hole. The inside of each crater is a very dark black and is unaffected by light sources.

SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are on the ceiling and floor on the second floor of the building. SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are identical in size and shape, though they have a different rotation.

SCP-XXXX emits low levels of radiation which vary at times.

SCP-XXXX was discovered by [REDACTED] when investigating reports of a dramatic increase of radiation levels in ███████, ██, which has been evacuated. Investigation shows that the construction site was meant to be an office building for [REDACTED]. The SCP Foundation is currently investigating the company and its employees.

It is still unknown what caused SCP-XXXX to appear, though the assumed time of appearance is when radiation levels showed a dramatic increase on 2/09/19. The SCP Foundation has been monitoring for other cases of SCP-XXXX. In the event of another type of SCP-XXXX appearing, authorized personnel are to arrive at the site as soon as possible with proper radiation equipment and evacuate everybody within twenty-four-kilometers of the site.

It is believed that SCP-XXXX is similar to a wormhole. The SCP Foundation has worked with a theoretical physicist, Dr. █████ ███, who has been studying SCP-XXXX for the past eight months as of 11/22/19. It is believed that studying SCP-XXXX could lead to a multitude of scientific discoveries.

An object or animal (including humanoids) can only enter SCP-XXXX-1 and can only come out of SCP-XXXX-2. Attempts to make an object or animal go through SCP-XXXX-2 have all failed, and each subject was thrown to the floor at 40-50 kilometers per hour (21.9-31.1 miles per hour).

Should a non-living subject enter in SCP-XXXX-1, the object will project from SCP-XXXX-2 at 5-12 kilometers per hour (3.1-7.5 miles per hour).

Living subjects who enter SCP-XXXX-1 will either come out of SCP-XXXX-2 at 1-3 kilometers per hour (0.6-1.9 miles per hour). Humanoids that enter SCP-XXXX-1 are transported to a pocket dimension (SCP-XXXX-3). SCP-XXXX-3 is inhabited by a living, humanoid, creature designated SCP-XXXX-4. SCP-XXXX-4 appears to be an elderly person, approximately 1.6 to 1.7 meters in height. SCP-XXXX-4 appears to be unaware of anybody inside SCP-XXXX-3. Test subjects who have an encounter with SCP-XXXX-4 feel a sense of sadness or sympathy for SCP-XXXX-4 that lasts for 17-21 hours. Subjects who possessed cases of mental health issues before contact with SCP-XXXX-4 may experience worsening cases of depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. SCP-999 has been shown to improve mental health in subjects who came into contact with SCP-XXXX-4.

The passage of time within SCP-XXXX-3 is significantly sped up. One minute inside SCP-XXXX-3 is equivalent to 20,160 minutes, or 14 days, in real-time. This effect may explain the origin of SCP-XXXX-4. Subjects who spend large amounts of time in SCP-XXXX-3 age at an accelerated rate. Subjects who enter SCP-XXXX-3 require daily intensive exercise and an extreme diet to combat the effects of an accelerated growth rate. Length of time that subject must undertake exercise and diet changes vary depending on time spent inside SCP-XXXX

There is currently no known way to transport or move SCP-XXXX. Any object located on the construction site appears to be very durable and harder than even diamond. Cutting out each hole to be transported to Site-██ failed. SCP-XXXX is not to be destroyed, as it can be used for scientific purposes. Transporting a case of SCP-XXXX-4 out of SCP-XXXX is currently being discussed.

Interviewed: D-31252

Interviewer: Dr. ████

Foreword: Interview with D-Class personnel who encountered SCP-XXXX-4

Begin Log, 10:59:34, 08/13/19

Dr. ████: "When did the incident occur?"

D-31252: "6 weeks ago"

Dr. ████: "What caused you to enter SCP-XXXX?"

D-31252: "I slipped on something and fell in. I hit my head on the edge of the crater so I was a little bit disoriented."

Dr. ████: "What did you experience while inside of SCP-XXXX?"

D-31252: "When I first fell in I was shocked and… a little bit scared. I started looking around for anything that could get me out of there. After spinning around a few times, I spotted a hole in the floor, and I…"

Dr. ████: "How far away would you estimate this hole was?"

D-31252: "I don't know… maybe like around… uh… 200 meters."

Dr. ████: "Ok, please continue."

D-31252: "Ok uh… like I was saying, I saw the hole and just began running for it. I must have been 100 meters from it when I saw this old person in the distance. I felt this strange urge to help them. Eventually, I came to my senses and jumped through the hole.

Dr. ████: "How long where you inside SCP-XXXX-3"

D-31252: "I'd say around 2 minutes"

Dr. ████: "Alright, continue."

D-31252: "Ok, so I jumped through the hole and everyone on the other side seemed extremely shocked I was there. Dr.████████ asked me how long I was inside and I told him only 2 minutes, but then he said "You were gone for a month!" which shocked me. They sent me back to the site and ran some tests on me.

Dr.████: "Anything else?"

D-31252: "Yeah uh… ever since the incident my depression has been getting a lot worse lately. Otherwise, that should be it."

Dr. ████: "Okay, that's all, thanks, you may go to your cell now."

End log, 11:11:45, 08/13/19

D-31252 attempted suicide a few days later. Subject was given two anti-depressants and sent back to his cell

Interviewed: D-12181

Interviewer: Dr. ██████

Foreword: Interview with D-Class personnel who encountered SCP-XXXX-4
Note: Interview performed directly after subject exposure to SCP-999

Begin Log, 14:32:48, 09/13/19

Dr. ██████: "I'm just going to ask some standard questions."

D-12181: "OK."

Dr. ██████: "When did this incident occur?"

D-12181: "Yesterd… wait no… around a month ago."

Dr. ██████: "What caused you to enter SCP-XXXX?"

D-12181: "We were testing dropping different stuff inside the SCP when two of the other people there started arguing about whether a hotdog was a sandwich or not. After some time they began to start pushing each other around. One of them bumped into me and I fell inside the pit.

Dr. ██████: "Do you have a history of mental disease?"

D-12181: "Uh…. I got PTSD while in the military when I was about 21."

Dr. ██████: "Ok, next question. What did you experience while inside SCP-XXXX?"

D-12181: "After I jumped in, I opened my eyes and I was in a dark… place… when I saw a hole shortly after."

Dr. ██████: "Do you know how far away the hole was?"

D-12181: "I'm not quite sure but it had to be a little over 100 meters. Anyway, I started running towards the hole when I saw some old guy. I went to go help him but then I saw the hole out of the corner of my eye and remembered what my goal was. I jumped back through an-"

Dr. ██████: "How long where you in SCP-XXXX-3?"

D-12181: "Like… 1 and a half minutes."

Dr. ██████: "Continue."

D-12181: "Ok so… after I got back in the real world, people were kinda stunned that I was back like I had been gone for years. As it turns out, I had been gone for 3 weeks. Afterward, they sent me back to the site and ran some tests.

Dr. ██████: "Did your PTSD worsen directly after the incident?"

D-12181: "Afterward, I was afraid of everything. Every little noise made me jump. But about an hour ago, the had me play with this orange goop thing and I feel a lot better."

Dr. ██████: "That should be all, you can head back to your cell now."
