Item #: SCP-4125

Object Class: Safe (Object)

Special Containment Procedures: SCP 4125 is to be kept in a standard storage locker in Site 24

Description: SCP 4125 is a red and gray backpack, approximately 60 centimeters in height and weighing approximately 4.5 kilograms that possesses the ability to conjure objects out of thin air. In order to do this, one must reach into the backpack and then take their hand out. They will then see that they are holding an item of unknown and usually anomalous origin
(See Addendum). SCP 4125 was found in an abandoned basement in REDACTED. When first recovered, the backpack was sitting in the middle of a main room with a child’s picture marked, “Ethan,” sitting in front of the backpack. Only D-Class personnel under guard should be used in experiments regarding SCP 4125, due to its unpredictable and sometimes dangerous nature. Any personnel found trying to use SCP 4125 without permission is grounds for an immediate reprimand. SCP 4125 is also known to occasionally produce mirror replicas of other SCPs, although they disappear after 3 hours, and are usually shrunken down to fit within SCP 4125. This was evident when an experiment regarding D-5364 ended in a miniature version of SCP-173 being pulled out of the backpack. The copy version was approximately one foot tall, and when ordered to remove eye contact from the replica, the D-Classes’ legs were broken before his neck was eventually by the 173 replica (Subject’s cadaver was incinerated). In another experiment executed by D-9125, a cheesecake was pulled out of the backpack. After being cut into by the D-Class personnel, the cake let out a loud scream before an unidentified grey substance began to flow from the site of where the D-Class cut the cake . The D-Class was escorted from the room and the cake was incinerated. SCP 4125 cannot be allowed to fall in the hands of someone with ill intent. Due to its unpredictable nature, SCP 4125 has the potential to be one of the most dangerous objects in the SCP Foundation.
Addendum 1: Items found include: various signed, rare memorabilia, A bar of gold at 99.9 percent purity, a thermonuclear bomb, ten pounds of cilantro, a single jolly rancher candy, a live Opossum, a single pill from SCP-500, a 16 carat diamond ring, a 17th century pistol, a severed hand that promptly attacked, and strangled one of the D-class on site, a collection of scrolls in an unknown language, a small piece of paper with the phrase, “Why is this happening to me?”
scribbled in pencil, school and office supplies, and a stapler that began to levitate and shoot sharp staples at a high velocity towards personnel on site (Object was dismantled and incinerated).

Addendum 2: It should be noted that SCP-4125 is susceptible to being destroyed but, when destroyed will simply reappear inside of it’s containment within 24 hours. It should also be noted that destruction of SCP-4125 seems to increase the rate at which dangerous and anomalous objects are pulled out of it.

Addendum 3: The backpack also appears to have a preference for certain people, as many people seem to pull dangerous items more often than others. This was evident when a D-Class who was ordered to treat SCP-4125 with care proceeded to pull a gift basket filled with assorted candies out of the bag, while another D-Class who was ordered to attempt to destroy SCP 4125 pulled a blanket that coiled around teh D-Class and snapped the subject’s neck (Both the subject and blanket were promptly incinerated.)

Addendum 4: SCP 4125 has been used by staff for a variety of reasons including, pranks, personal gain, or as a source of recreational activity. These actions often result in disaster and should be met with a swift reprimand

Note: Doctor Rollins is no longer in charge of monitoring SCP 4125. He has proven incapable of suppressing his desire for material things. Seriously people, what if you pull a miniature SCP 682 out of the backpack or a live pipe bomb? That little backpack can be dangerous.
