Item #: SCP-4059

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4059 is to be kept in a 30 x 30 m indoor aviary furnished with bushes and plant life. The aviary walls should be lined with acoustic wedge panels as to prevent noise from leaving the chamber. Wire fencing should be placed over the wedges as to prevent damage. The entity should be fed 1.3 kg of meat once a day, and should not be fed any grains. Any personnel working with SCP-4059 should sedate the entity beforehand and have a pair of noise canceling earmuffs on their person.

Description: SCP-4059 is an avian shapeshifter who takes the form of a large crow, approximately 4.5 meters in length, and 2.1 meters in height, with a wingspan of 7.6 meters. The entity is able to communicate verbally and shows average intelligence, but is generally hostile. SCP-4059 will often make clicking noises to threaten individuals she perceives as threats, but will not be able to properly attack if sedated. However, even while heavily sedated, the entity is still capable of releasing shrieks up to 150 decibels.

Further studies of SCP-4059's shapeshifting abilities show that she cannot completely alter herself into an entirely new being. When asked to change into a humanoid body, SCP-4059 still retained the feet from her avian form, and formed a second pair of avian-style feet to work as hands. As well as keeping her original feet, her wings remained after the transformation, though notably smaller as to be proportionate with her frame. While taking this form, SCP-4059 is 2 meters in height and dawns a black hooded shirt with a white mask-like face. Despite attempts from researchers, no one has been able to get SCP-4059 to take any other forms than the ones she presented during testing.
