Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a secure server at site-8. Level 2 security access required when accessing the file. When the file is loaded onto a monitor researchers are to ensure subjects are exposed to the file for no longer than 5 minutes. Upon exposure to the file for longer than five minutes the subject exposed is to be contained with protocols relevant for Euclid level entities.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous file allegedly created by [DATA REDACTED - PENDING REVIEW]. The file is titled "RBT.qtw" which is an unfamiliar file type to the foundation at the time of publishing this report [FURTHER INFORMATION AVAILABLE - SEE ADDENDUM 1565] however, foundation systems are able to run the file without an issue. Affects on subjects to SCP-XXXX only begin after approximately 5 minutes of exposure to the visual file. If any personnel begin to exhibit any of the below anomalous behaviours notify, security staff immediately.
anomalous behaviours include:
- If the subject is abnormally aggressive or hostile towards personnel
- If the subject's pupils are extremely dilated (iris is no longer visible)
- If the subject becomes unresponsive and idle for long periods of time without performing a cognitive action.
These subjects are considered anomalous and are to be classed as SCP-XXXX-A. Upon Study of SCP-XXXX-A, certain tests suggest that the entities are no longer sentient and are unpredictable and often hostile in nature. They pose no serious threat to humanity however could pose a threat to unprotected personnel. [FURTHER INFORMATION AVAILABLE - SEE ADDENDUM 1566].
ADDENDUM 1565: Upon further investigation by the foundation, the file type has been linked with software made by [DATA REDACTED - PENDING REVIEW]. It is commonly used in the repair of the products produced by the company. No links can be directly made between SCP-XXXX and [DATA REDACTED - PENDING REVIEW] as evidence suggests the file was pirated by Subject-X3QW (First SCP-XXXX-A found by acquisition team)
ADDENDUM 1566: MRI scans of SCP-XXXX-A entities suggest that the brains of the entities have been wiped. This could indicate that the brains of the entities are back in a primal state and is a clear indication on the lack of previous memories that SCP-XXXX-A Entities exhibit. Further examination required.
LEAD RESEARCHER NOTES
This is Doctor Macintosh reporting with some notes on SCP-XXXX:
10/12/2016: I overheard three guards referring to the file as "The Reset file". I do not think this is appropriate so gave them a verbal warning.
11/10/2018: Further MRI scans were performed on SCP-XXXX-A entities and showed no change from the last time, no addendum needed.
12/7/2019: D-Class personnel recently exposed to the file for longer than five minutes. They showed no new anomalous behaviours and were locked with the rest of the SCP-XXXX-A entities
