Special Containment Procedures:
Due to the nature of SCP-3482 it cannot completely be contained by any means available to the foundation to this date.
Currently "Patient Zero", A papyrus scroll designated [SCP-3482-1] dated approx. [REDACTED] years old is stored at [REDACTED] approximately ███km under Mount Yamantau, Russia.

Addendum: As per the results shown in Experiment log 5/3482 all foundation sites are to have Scranton Reality Anchors (SRAs) placed at intersections surrounding facilities, this is to prevent further spread of SCP-3482.

Description:
SCP-3482 is a "Memetic Virus" capeable of infecting all forms of data storage medium including but not limited to; Writing, Chiseling, Digital.
People that visualize SCP-3482 will be compelled to write/engrave/encode SCP-3482 into any nearby surface, this includes their own flesh, attempts to prevent this has resulted in Agression, Muscle Spasms and [REDACTED], this effect can "cured" by a standard course of Class D Amnestic.
Affected storage mediums will have any and all data they contain erased and replaced with [REDACTED] over a varying period of time.
As of writing this document almost all of the Foundation's databases, paper copies and backups contain traces of the Virus, attempts to contain it are partially successful, see Experiment 5/3482.

The way SCP-3482 propagates itself is not fully understood however it has been documented to be inhibited by areas of high Hume concentrations in the of around [REDACTED] as per documented in Experiment 5/3482.

+ Experiment 1/3482

Experiment 1/3482 - 10/12/1987

Subject: D-3103
Procedure: Subject was ordered to copy SCP-001 onto a server rack containing approx. 40gb of "Trash" notepad documents.
Results: Over the space of 10 hours, SCP-001 propagated itself through the entire file structure of the computer corrupting it to the point of non-function. Hard drive was salvaged and installed externally on another computer, all files were found to contain [REDACTED].

+ Experiment 2/3482

Experiment 2/3482 - 10/12/1987

Subject: D-3103
Procedure: Subject was ordered to write [REDACTED] on a piece of A4 standard paper.
Results: Over the space of 10 hours, SCP-001 was observed to propagate itself over the paper entirely and was then observed to begin etching itself into the material of the table.

+ Experiment 3/3482

Experiment 3/3482 - 11/12/1987

Subject: Researcher [REDACTED]
Procedure: Subject was unaware of the effects of SCP-001.
Placed their notepad within 25m of SCP-001, Immediately went on lunchbreak.
Results: When the subject returned SCP-001 was found to have spread over approximately 20% of the total mass of the notepad, Senior staff was immediately notified and the notebook was subsequently incinerated.

+ Experiment 4/3482

Experiment 4/3482 - 13/12/1987

Subject: Researcher [REDACTED]
Procedure: Subject placed a standard issue foundation ID badge into SCP-914
subject was unaware of SCP-3482 infection in item.
Results: Item proceeded to cover all nearby non-anomalous surfaces nearby with [REDACTED] up to 100m including organic matter. On-site nuclear warhead was detonated.
Analysis: "Before placing ANY material inside ANY specimen chamber check for SCP-3482 infection, we can't afford to lose more sites." -05-█

Experiment 5/3482 - 21/01/1988

Subject: SCP-████
Procedure: Subject was instructed to modify the Hume levels surrounding a hard drive containing approx. 1tb of SCP-3482 infected data with their reality bending abilities.
Results: SCP-3482 was noted to progagate much slower when exposed to high surrounding Hume levels. Partial containment method identified.
