Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in it's coffin at all times. The stake should never be removed from its chest cavity without prior authorization for testing. Any personnel entering the containment chamber while SCP-XXXX is animate should wear a blind fold, or light-dampening lenses. Direct eye contact is typically advised against prohibited. access to the coffin's chamber is restricted to level 3+ personnel.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the well preserved corpse of a eastern European male of possible Slavic descent, recovered in an Ash Coffin. Discovered embedded in it's chest cavity is a stake made of White Ash. Those unaware of SCP-XXXX's sentience report a feeling of dread when approaching the coffin, with one exception: female subjects report a feeling of loss at seeing the corpse of SCP-XXXX, some even going so far as to emotionally "break down" when viewing XXXX. It is unknown why this occurs.
When animate, XXXX is driven by an intense thirst for the blood of sentient beings, and will go to many lengths to obtain it, not limited to: force, coercion, deception, and in some cases, mental compulsion. Object shows an adverse allergic reaction to UV radiation, and displays a curious obsession with counting small mundane objects. SCP-XXXX has demonstrated a strong desire for female companionship, and has refused to feed on female subjects during testing, claiming it is "beneath it".
Addendum XXXX-A: SCP-XXXX was recovered by █████ █████ in a tomb beneath the island village of Sviyazhsk, Russia on 10/17/████. The Foundation was made aware of rumors of a demon who killed men that terrorized the streets of Sviyazhsk at night. An investigation of the area found a tunnel to an crypt below the city. One foolish agent pulled the white ash stake from the chest of SCP-XXXX, whereby it reanimated and killed 3 agents before being incapacitated by Agent ███████. It was transported to Site ██.
Addendum XXXX-B: SCP-XXXX Autopsy reports indicate that while animate object shows no vital signs and gives off no heat. However, it requires the blood of living beings to continue motor and brain function. It requires no other sustenance.
Due to this unique state of "Undeath" SCP-XXXX seems to be immune to SCP-714, and displays neither a desire to sleep or any reduced mental capacity while wearing 714. Similarly object was unaffected when exposed to the touch of SCP-049. 049 claimed that XXXX was beyond its ability to "cure".
Addendum XXXX-C- Test Log:
Test 9 - ██/██/████
Subject: SCP-XXXXProcedure: SCP-XXXX was placed into a confinement cell that was slowly filled with a highly corrosive acidic compound. Object was submerged a total of 42 hours.
Results: decomposition continued at a steady rate, until 73% destruction of skin and muscle tissue. Decomposition halted and did not continue. When retrieved, XXXX was still conscious and responsive despite massive degeneration of bodily systems.
Analysis: This and other tests have concluded that SCP-XXXX is nearly indestructible, the only known methods of incapacitating it being UV exposure and the white ash stake.
