Special Containment Procedures: SCP 9000-1 is to be kept in an airtight biological specimen cell measuring 10 x 10 x 10m at all times. The cell is to be kept at 2 to 4 degrees centigrade all times due to the secondary anomalous property of SCP-5000. The interior of the cell must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis to prevent further growth of 5000-1. In an event of a power failure leading to the disruption or destruction of the temperature regulators in the containment cell, the backup generators will provide sufficient energy to the regulators for 1 to 2 hours maximum, re-establishing the main power to the coolers is the top priority. The cell itself has been specially created to contain SCP-5000-1. It must remain airtight at all times due to the specimen having the ability to create SCP-5000-2. The reason for the cell's size is to compensate for the specimen's alarmingly fast growth rate. (This growth is inhibited by the low temperature in the cell, however, in the event of a total power failure of all generators, this space is required.) Strangely the specimen manifests its bacteria much like a plant does during growth. Containing its growth is a simple task but requires multiple D-Class personnel to enter 5000’s containment cell and trim down vine-like structures formed from a build-up of SCP-5000-1. This is a dangerous task as the 'vines' do have sentience, (see Incident 1-A).
Access to 5000 is strictly prohibited in the daytime, at night, however, 5000 enters a sedated state at which time the janitorial staff can perform the bi-weekly cleaning. Entry during the day is strictly prohibited unless given clearance by the on-site administrator, access to 5000’s cell is restricted to D-class or agent personnel for testing only. Under no circumstance is any sample of 5000-1 permitted to leave its containment cell, any attempts at this are punishable by execution.
Description: SCP 5000 is a sentient colony of bacteria sharing a hive intelligence capable of communication through crude writing, this writing is done by 5000 plastering its excess waste generated by the basic functions of single-celled organisms, on a wall or surface. Past examples of this include 5000 threatening agents who entered it's cell for urgent testing (see Incident 1-A).
The specimens were created in China at the facility [DATA EXPUNGED], in an attempt to create a wonder drug to reverse aging. The company in question [REDACTED] was government-funded despite this the Chinese government did not take responsibility.
The effects of the bacteria are as follows, severe rashes will form all over the body, these rashes will secrete a gas known as 5000-2, which will further spread the bacteria's growth. the afflicted will then die a painful death. Once the bacteria has infected an individual there is no current way to cure it.
The infected die just 20 minutes after the initial infection. The rate at which the bacteria infects victims is unprecedented. Multiple researchers have requested that 5000 be terminated as soon as possible as it poses a great threat to humanity and a containment breach could lead to an XK Class Extinction event. Dr. Kain is in charge of containment and research until neutralization can be pursued.

Three agents enter SCP 5000’s containment cell holding a D-Class behind them,
Agent Cyrus: Right let's get this over and done with then.
Dr. Kain: Please offer D-8752 to 5000
//The agents practically throw D-8752 at 5000, it's vines rip away at D-8752's jumpsuit and tear off his limbs inducing a bloodcurdling scream. //
Agent Green: Poor Fucker
Agent Cyrus: He was a death-row criminal though, he kinda had it coming.
/D-8752's body starts to produce 5000-2, suddenly the vines start to attack the agents.//
Agent Green: FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, SHIT.
Agent Cyrus: GET US OUT NOW.
The airlock begins to disengage, and the agents slowly fight their way out of the room.
Dr. Kain: CALL MTF BETA-7 NOW, WE ARE LOOKING AT A CONTAINMENT BREACH.
SCP-9540 begins to furiously scrawl some incoherent letters on the cell wall.
Agent Green: What the fuck is it doing?!
Agent Cyrus: It’s trying to communicate….it says…..” we want out”.
The agents escape from the cell just as MTF Beta-7 arrive.
Captain [REDACTED]: Team 1 begin administering the acid!
SCP-9540 is swiftly forced back into its containment cell, its “vines” cut where they got stuck in the cell door, leaving a sticky residue behind.
Captain [REDACTED]: This thing needs to die.

Dr. Kain has since filed a request for 5000 to be terminated ASAP. The 05 is currently reviewing the request with 05-• leading the inquiry.
Addendum 1-A
Upon further examination of SCP-5000, it was discovered that the effects of 5000 also include accelerating aging. This is probably due to the purpose of the drug. The 05 have approved the request for 5000 to be terminated as soon and as effectively as possible.
