Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to remain in a locked containment unit at all times. Personnel are not permitted to speak to SCP-XXXX without the consent of at least two researchers with level three clearance or higher. The entity's chamber is to be a large sound-insulating room(5.5x5.5x5.5 meters) desk with a communication system capable of filtering out Class IV ambience.

All personnel not engaged in an experiment with SCP-XXXX are required to wear noise filtering headphones to block out the anomalous audio emissions of SCP-XXXX. All personnel who hear the audio effects emitted by SCP-XXXX in person should be considered terminated and placed in a small chamber, with the maximum measurements being four feet tall, and four feet wide. It is recommended that personnel assigned to the entity in question are in a very healthy mental condition.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a male humanoid measuring approximately 2.6 meters(or 8 feet) in height. It is described to have a pale green skin tone, and faded blue/purple eyes. The entity lacks normal facial features, instead having slits in the face for verbal communication. It has two appendages capable of extending outward quickly, two beginning at the shoulder blades, capable of generating telekinetic orbs, and two others for normal utility purposes. It appears healthy, sentient, and conversational, but it is malevolent. Upon approaching the SCP in person, it may attempt to kill the approaching subject with a combination of telekinetic orbs and melee attacks, if it decides that to do so is in the entity's best interest.
Looking straight into the entity's eyes causes temporary psychosis and blindness, and the duration and severity of these effects increases if the target's mental health is poor. This does not occur through cameras. Long term exposure to SCP-XXXX causes paranoia, distress, and anxiety.
Every few hours(2-6), the entity emits a very loud shriek, which begins a 48 hour cycle that leads to the subject/subjects(now known as SCP-XXXX-A instances) termination. Requirements to become an instance of SCP-XXXX-A are as follows: Any humanoids between the ages of 15 and 65 that are aware of the sound. Victims do not need to know the source.
In the first three hours, they will feel the entity's presence in close proximity to their own. Then, after the ten hour mark, SCP-XXXX-A will begin seeing SCP-XXXX in their REM cycle. Victims describe a labyrinth made of an unidentified possibly indestructible substance(SCP-XXXX-B) in which they are hunted by the entity and identical copies. Escaping this maze is the only known way to survive, and this feat has been accomplished only ██ time(s). Climbing on top of this maze causes subjects to [DATA EXPUNGED].
Otherwise, the subject will wake up and continue the cycle. After the twelve hour mark regardless of whether the subject has slept or not, they will begin seeing the entity in their peripheral vision. After twenty-four hours, SCP-XXXX-A receives visions of a distorted world almost identical to theirs. Then, a few hours later, they can hear SCP-XXXX's voice speaking to them in a hushed manner.
After forty eight hours, regardless of location, the subject/subjects are instantly terminated by the entity through unknown means, who warps to their location. Distance, dimension, or time does not seem to matter. If the space is too small, the subject seems to teleport to SCP-XXXX instead. After the subject is terminated, the Hume level returns to acceptable and non-anomalous levels.

Addendum: XXXX.1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was discovered in the year 194█ after reports of a strange man wandering in the woods were received near ███████████, Russia. Initially, the authorities had ignored this issue. However, after a transmission was received near the wreck of the U.S.S [REDACTED], reports of the same strange man and disappearances began near Chicago, Illinois. SCP-XXXX was found and contained the following year with heavy resistance. Three foundation personnel were injured in the entity's containment. Later, foundation personnel returned and discovered the entity had [DATA EXPUNGED] the missing people.

Addendum: XXXX.2: Observation Logs
The entity requests D-class subjects once a year to, "Finish making his game."
The entity has stated it's wish to return to the Russian forest of ███████████. The entity has also grown increasingly agitated, stating he doesn't want foundation personnel, "getting in the way." At this point in any conversation, the entity will stop speaking for several hours.

Interview and Test One by Dr. Lewis, March, 195█

Interview A - March, 195█

Dr. Lewis: Hello, SCP-XXXX. I am going to ask you a series of questions. Do you have any requests?
SCP-XXXX: No, Doctor Lewis.
Dr. Lewis: (off mic) Did somebody give him my information? No? How curious…
SCP-XXXX: Doctor?
Dr. Lewis: Yes, of course. Do you remember where you were born? I mean, if you were born.
SCP-XXXX: No.
Dr. Lewis: Interesting. Do you know your name?
SCP-XXXX: No, but some call me by names they chose. I sense that you have picked mine.
Dr. Lewis: Alright. *Dr. Lewis proceeds to write down notes.
Dr. Lewis: Interesting. Could you help me understand what you plan on doing?
SCP-XXXX: Certainly. I'm making a game. Well, more of a contest.
Dr. Lewis: What… kind of contest?
SCP-XXXX: It takes time, and I need volunteers. I only need a few more years, but I don't see why this is your concern. Can we be done here?
Dr. Lewis: I think we can be for today. Thank you for your cooperation.

Addendum: XXXX.3: Test Logs

Notes: Dr. Samuel J was promoted to project head, and served until 199█, when he retired.
Dr. Michael Hogan Is now the project head and On-Site director of site 112, a facility located in ██████████, New Hampshire.
Looking at SCP-XXXX's face through a photograph still causes blindness, but hearing the auditory effects can only affect people that hear it in person or through live recordings, so a pre-recorded shriek can't activate the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX.

Interview by Dr. Michael █

Interview A - March, 20██

Dr. Michael █, Interview A - March, 20██__
Dr. Michael █: Hello, SCP-XXXX. I am going to ask you a series of questions. Do you have any requests?
SCP-XXXX: That you set me free.
Dr. Michael █: Sorry, but that's not what we do here. Anything else?
SCP-XXXX: No.
Dr. Michael █: Alright, (clears throat) let's start off with some basic questions. Where did you come from?
SCP-XXXX: I do not know, that knowledge has left me.
Dr. Michael █: Do you know why you came?
SCP-XXXX: I… I… don't remember.
Dr. Michael █: Do you have a goal or a mission?
SCP-XXXX: I want to make the ultimate challenge. One that there are few winners of, so that the scum of the Earth will be cleansed. I hope that one day, your people will see this as their salvation from ignorance and stupidity. When I find my champions, then, and only then, will I leave. I have succeeded before, and I will do it again. I wish to do this until all people know true freedom from their inferior peers, and a strong future for all races is etched in stone.
Dr. Michael █: Lastly, how much longer will it take to complete your… contest?
SCP-XXXX: My game? Give or take a few years.
Dr. Michael █: You mean your maze where you torture people? That's not a game.
SCP-XXXX: Oh, but it is. It is a game of cat and mouse. When the mouse wins, he proves his worth. In the end, everyone is better off without the weak to handicap them.
Dr. Hogan: You think killing innocents is for the greater good?
SCP-XXXX: Doctor, the fate of all life depends on this. Worlds resist at first, but in the end, they always listen to the words of truth. However, your planet is incredibly stubborn.
I'll be honest, I've meet smarter races. Why doctor, do your people reject my gift?
Dr. Hogan: Your idea is madness! Why do you propose such a solution?
SCP-XXXX: Because I know it will work. Doctor, I'm willing to be the bad guy, so others can live in the light.

Addendum: XXXX.4: Observation logs
SCP-XXXX has made no attempts to extensively converse with research staff in recent months, but continues to request its release.

Addendum: XXXX.5: Email from Project Head Michael █.
On March 24th, 2019, a log from an abandoned CI facility may have evidence for our theory on the origin of SCP-XXXX. The log is as follows: CI Researcher: John Williams, 1950

I told them the project would fail, but they didn't believe me. They wanted me to talk to it, the demon. I don't know what else to call it. I'm losing it… I need to start from the beginning. About a year ago, we were working on a project involving an anomalous gate of some sort. Like a hole to another world. We were posing as foundation agents, trying to find a safe way to travel between the worlds. After dozens of attempts, we realized it wasn't possible with what we had. That's when we wondered, what if we could access a gate from our facility? If we could create our own and learn how to use it, we could attack the foundation from anywhere using the information we would gain, and we would have the resources we needed to do it back on-site. Well, it took a while, but it worked. We were testing the hole with a recorded message, trying to see who would respond, and that's when we heard him. A voice in the hole was calling us, and after the third time, we were ordered to make contact. I knew it was a bad idea, but we would be terminated for a lack of compliance by the operatives supervising us. When we tossed a rope, it… that thing… told us it wasn't enough. We spent about a month trying to get him out. Finally, we made a sort of inter-dimensional elevator lift for him. We sent two guards and a test subject down to escort him up. But when they had gone halfway down, there were shouts. We could see gunfire, and the subject started screaming about something being inside of him. When the elevator lift returned, the test subject started running away from the lift, but nothing else was there. This wraith, demon, ghost, whatever you want to call it, had set a trap. Just waiting for the perfect moment to ambush us. He must not have been suited to our physics, and we gave that parasite just what he needed: a host that was suitable for our world. The subject hit the floor, and he started shaking. He started mutating, and he didn't even look like the subject anymore. Then…. we saw his eyes… I can't forget them… piercing our souls. We couldn't see for a few seconds after we made eye contact… All we heard was gunshots. The otherworldly aberration screamed "I've done it, at last!" as he cut through the guards flooding the room. When I opened my eyes again, the thing was right in front of me… I had to run. The bullets were hurting it, but he wouldn't go down. After a while, we had him pinned, but the guards got too close. He drove us back with this awful shriek, and he managed to get in the security room. After that, he opened all the doors up and took the place offline. I'm in the closet now. I can hear that… creature, outside this door. He's trying to get in, but he's hurt. I have a gun, but I don't have any ammo, and so I can't use it on him… or myself. I think these are my last words. If he doesn't kill me, the Russian weather will. I should never have left the foundation…
