Location discovered: SCP 1907 was found in a heavily mountainous area of [REDACTED] north of [REDACTED] in a small pitch-black cave.
Instructions on how to secure and contain SCP 1907:
MTF soldiers must be equipped with night-vision goggles and gas masks, it is highly advised to not breathe in the smoke SCP 1907 produces. When captured it must be held in a 8.5m x 10.5m x 8.5m pitch-black box, it is required for the containment unit to be made of military-grade titanium steel lined with lead, as SCP 1907 is capable of transferring its body into other locations of pitch-black darkness, though it cannot travel through lead. When transferred, it must be sedated after shining a 70 Kilolux military-grade floodlight. To avoid it escaping it must be secured in a titanium grade pod with no windows and it must be fastened down in shackles around the torso, legs, arms and neck. After being transferred all personnel must immediately evacuate the containment unit to not be harmed by SCP 1907 after it wakes as it is a high-level threat to any organisms that are intoxicated by the smoke it produces. Keep in mind that anything below 10 kilolux is will not affect SCP 1907 but will slowly cause the darkness around it to disappear. 20 Kilolux of light will damage the SCP however the aura will regrow and penetrate the light. 50 Kilolux will damage the creature but will not kill it whereas a light source higher than 100 Kilolux will greatly hinder the creature making it easy to transfer. Ideally breaking the “darkness” aura around SCP 1907 will make it defenseless against all attacks. Within seven days MTF soldiers with gas masks must remove all smoke inside the area with special equipment for possible containment breaches and threats. All soldiers must be in quarantine as well as the dark smoke and all soldiers will be examined if there is evidence of dark smoke in their lung systems, if smoke is found all medical personnel must attempt to remove it. If they cannot remove it within 5 hours, then the MTF Soldier must be terminated and have the remaining smoke taken out and put in quarantine.
Description:
SCP 1907 is a tall thin humanoid approximately 5m tall, the creature mimics that of SCP 096. It appears malnourished as if it has no organs and appears to have thin layers of body hair on its upper legs, arms and chest areas. SCP 1907 is covered with what seems to be a large dark pitch-black aura that acts almost like a cloud of smoke, if the smoke is transferred into your lungs you have about 5 hours before the smoke takes control of your body similar to SCP 035. Bullets will not affect the darkness and radio systems; signals and electrically powered software will be disabled whilst inside the dark aura that SCP 1907 produces. To see past the black smoke a high-grade military flashlight must be used, any light source lower than 50 Kilolux will not affect SCP 1907 as the darkness it hides in will consume the light source in pitch-black darkness. It is almost impossible to see its true form unless you have the right equipment e.g. Night vision goggles, Flashlight etc. Be aware that this creature is to be taken seriously for that its intelligence is similar to us humans, possibly even greater.
Information on SCP 1907:
SCP 1907 cannot attack with force, instead; after breathing the dark smoke around the creature will enter a state of slowly decomposing from the inside out, it can also greatly damage the subjects psyche possibly making the creature want to harm itself or others around it. SCP 1907’s IQ can match that of most smart SCP’s, a comparable IQ level would be slightly higher than SCP 049. Though it cannot complete full sentences it seems to be a highly skilled tactician, for this reason, it took more than 3 teams of MTF units to finally capture and contain it. SCP 1907 also can decay an organism's skin tissue until it is almost like a husk. Bullets cannot affect this creature as the bullet loses all momentum and speed when it touches the area of darkness around it, the only thing that can harm it is a light source higher than 50 Kilolux.
