SCP 4XXX - "The Year Without a Summer"

Special Containment Procedures: Due to its nature, no methods are currently known that can contain SCP-4XXX. Furthermore, knowledge of the anomaly is already in the public domain. Therefore, Foundation webcrawlers will be deployed to monitor and maintain the current consensus temporal data that currently exists on it. Any deviations are to be reported to project head; furthermore, anything greater than five deviations in the span of a month must be treated as a potential shift event; a full investigation must be performed, and O5 must be notified. If the investigation returns results confirming a shift has occurred, current historical records must be updated en-masse across civilian domain. Low grade visual memetic agents have been suggested to ease the transition into new consensus timeline.

Description: SCP-4XXX is a historical event colloquially known as "The Year Without a Summer" or "Eighteen Hundred and Froze to Death". Current records indicate it occurred in the year 1816. However, this has not always been the case; prior to June 2012, it was believed to have occurred in 1785¹
