Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a bathroom at Site-███. Two (2) armed guards are to be stationed outside SCP-XXXX's containment at all times. At no times are personnel allowed to look into SCP-XXXX directly.
Anyone who has been confirmed to have been affected by SCP-XXXX are to be given Class-A Amnestics as soon as possible.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous phenomenon that affects any reflective surfaces such as mirrors and windows. Instances of SCP-XXXX have a phrase in french written on in red marker that translates to "Love lasts forever". SCP-XXXX's anomalous effect only manifests when viewed in the peripheral vision.
When a subject views SCP-XXXX in their peripheral vision they will report seeing a humanoid figure, referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, in the reflection SCP-XXXX. The appearance of SCP-XXXX-1 varies but will always resemble a completely random person out in the world. once the subject makes direct eye contact with SCP-XXXX SCP-XXXX-1 will disappear.
Shortly after viewing SCP-XXXX the subject will claim that SCP-XXXX-1 was a romantic partner from a previous life1. The subject will become extremely lethargic, nostalgic and show signs of depression. The subject will eventually try to contact the individual that SCP-XXXX-1 impersonated, typically asking the impersonated individual out for a date. To this date no individual has accepted.
When the subject is denied, the subject will respond extremely negatively and will begin to show signs of mental trauma and schizophrenia. The subject will begin to repeat the actions enacted by previous affected subjects. The actions done are:
- Stalking the individual impersonated by SCP-XXXX-1.
- Obsessive behaviors towards impersonated individual.
- Aggressive behaviors towards anyone near the impersonated individual.
- Homicidal behaviors towards anyone near the impersonated individual.
- Homicidal behaviors towards impersonated individual.
- Homicidal behaviors towards self.
The subject will eventually attempt to obtain a sharp object, typically a knife or fork. Subject will then attempt to stab anyone who has interacted with the impersonated individual to death. The subject will then kidnap the impersonated individual to a disclosed location and try to [DATA EXPUNGED] the individual. The subject will carve a phrase in french into the back of the individual and them self, SCP-XXXX will then disappear from it's previous host and affect another reflective surface. The phrase carved into the victims translates to"We'll meet again, in the next life" Class-A Amnestics have proven effective in preventing SCP-XXXX's effects.
Discovery:
SCP-XXXX was discovered after a string of similar murders in ███████, France. All of them linking to different individuals. Authorities noticed a man named J██████ S█████ repeating the events leading up to the various murders. Authorities questioned the man as to what he was doing, the man responded with "I'll show you.". the man exposed SCP-XXXX to the authorities and subsequently became affected. and began to stalk the impersonated individual[[footnote]]Who was in hiding.[/footnote]].
It was after this that The Foundation became alerted to a potential anomaly, SCP-XXXX had been located and contained until the impersonated individual had suddenly commit suicide, and SCP-XXXX was moved to another mirror.
