The boy trudged onwards through the dark forest, his breath warm against the cold air. In his hand he held a crumpled note. His clothes blended well with the flora, but his tan skin seemed to glow.

“Where is he? He should be here by now!” The walled gazebo in the forest clearing housed a boy dressed all in white, his pale skin dull against his blue lips and eyes.
