Item#: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a small 7 x 7 metre box with dirt substrate, deciduous leaves are to be placed inside the box. Little camera surveillance is required at day but 4 cameras at all angles are required at night. If a specimen of SCP-XXXX is found outside its enclosure, it must be recontained at all costs. The box is to be cleaned on a weekly basis at midday. Personnel cleaning SCP-XXXX's cell are to avoid nearing SCP-XXXX at all times. Personally complaining of illness must be removed off the premises ASAP. Specimens of SCP-XXXX-B must be kept a minimum of 100 metres away from other specimens of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX (Vulpes Novem) is a small quadruped resembling a fox. It is approximately 1.2 metres in length, 0.8 metres in height and 0.35 metres in width. SCP-XXXX has 9 appendages resembling tails measuring 0.45 metres. All tails are the exact same length. SCP-XXXX is covered with a thick layer of fur just like an ordinary fox. SCP-XXXX is a Vulpini and is confirmed to be the largest in the Vulpini.
Specimens are found deciduous biomes and are usually primarily found wandering alone. They seem to be scavengers and flee upon sighting humans during the day. Upon a human cornering a specimen, it will become agitated and it will proceed to bite the offender, resulting in the offender experiencing dizziness, nausea and will collapse only 30 minutes after being bitten. But will fully recover a few days later.
During the night, SCP-XXXX receives a massive behavioural change, it becomes extremely aggressive and can be found in large packs up to 16. At sighting any other lifeform, SCP-XXXX will proceed to attack, main and kill the lifeform. SCP-XXXX has been seen to take large amounts of damage before dying, even being able to take multiple bullets before finally dying. The easiest way to terminate a specimen of SCP-XXXX is to shoot it directly in the head. It is able to survive shots to the heart for multiple minutes before dying.
If SCP-XXXX loses a tail, SCP-XXXX will proceed to regenerate at phenomenal speeds. The tail regrows approximately 50 hours later. SCP-XXXX has been seen to regenerate other large scale injuries at rapid speeds but it appears to take approximately 78 hours for the injury to regenerate.
SCP-XXXX appears to be more intelligent than originally thought, it has shown the ability to solve advanced puzzles but seems incapable of human speech. SCP-XXXX seems to be able to use advanced communication with its fellow specimens. SCP-XXXX communicates with fellow specimens by being connected by a hive-mind. A single member within a pack contains this hive-mind which is located under the brain. This specimen is named SCP-XXXX-B and does not look any different to its fellow SCP-XXXX specimens.
Due to its cunning intelligence, teamwork and endurance, the foundation's Mobile Task Force (Nine-Tailed Fox) is named after this SCP. It is also believed that the myth of the Nine-Tailed Fox AKA Spirit Fox is based of SCP-XXXX.
