The Foundation became aware of this buttons anomalous quality when an agent based in WA after it became a device in cruel pranks done by a local teen.

Once animate, the subject wearing On average the Subject will begin speaking either Latin or German, but appears to keep a modest amount of their previous personality and is capable of speaking Polish and English as well. The object is one leather trench coat with a tag in the inner collar reading "Lazarus leather Co. Est. 1802.". while not worn the object has nothing apparent to its anomaly. Once worn by a deceased subject, which will be refered to as XXXX-1 will begin to reanimate the body over a period of 15 minutes. Beginning with short shallow breaths, whispers, convulsions ending in full reanimation. On average 36% of reanimated subjects begin speaking German even if the deceased had no previous ability to speak it. Interviews suggest that the deceased gain a localized knowledge of those who've worn it, but in interview, can not elaborate on the use of Latin. Originally found in Luxembourg's Ardennes forest. The Foundation first became aware of the object when locally embedded agents saw a news broadcast of a recently missing male having killed a Parks and Recreation employee. When agents found the subject, its tissue decay and broken leg appeared to severely hamper its ability to be mobile. Subject became hostile when agents attempted to make contact, acting in a confused state. Before more Foundation personnel arrive, one of the agents was injured attempting to handcuff the subject, due to its tissue decay the subject immediately lost the hand being cuffed and proceeded to plunge its radius into the agents leg with the agent terminating the subject. The agent was treated and reprimanded after retrieval. Subjects who are reanimated are not invulnerable to damage and their decay is slowed but does not stop, and only have the ability to be animate as long as the body holds up.

SCP-XXXX is a bracer made from license plates and other components that do not physically connect to, nor operate independently from the rig. The components consist of 1. a backpack with a waist belt and a slot for dome kind of device. 2. The bracer and its power cord. 3. a secondary slot for another device yet to be discovered.
inside the backpack is nothing that indicates a power source, there is a distinctive lack of the power cord since it goes to a pocket that can not be opened. on the inner strap of the rig there's a partially legible tag reading "The Lazar__ Initia_ve___852" it is unclear who originally manufactured this and what the missing parts are. when the bracer is plugged in, it is capable of producing a large amount of electricity, enough to cause a short yet effective arc. This arc is uncontrollable as indicated from prior testing. The bracer does not harm its user even when the user comes into direct contact from the arc, however it does not protect them from external sources of energy or its own waste energy.(see test logs)*

XXXX-1 is capable of speaking Polish, English and the subjects native language as well. When being interviewed, XXXX-1 will always refer to itself as "We", speaking as a collective except in Latin, where the subject refers to itself as I. XXXX-1's body will not cease the decay process, rather it slows down the rate of decay.

<End Log>Closing Statement: [SCP-XXXX-1 refused to calm and SCP-XXXX was removed from XXXX-1. Immediate and sudden cessation of the subject followed. Dr.███████ noted that from previous experience with D-97653 would always act irrationally in face of danger, with D-97653's last words being "God Damnit Doc! LET ME OUT!"
Addendum
A piece of parchment, torn in half read "Et factum est auctor de morte Lazari effusae, qui jacebat ad januam ejus Defier in finem, et non eum audire?" was found in the inner breast pocket of the coat, translated it says "And the author of the death of Lazarus, which was laid at his Defier in the end did not accept it?"
Dr.███████ requests that more testing may be done to see what the extent of XXXX's abilities are and what that means for the subjects.
