Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-5XXX are contained within Site-64 with the assistance of Wilson's Wildlife Solutions, led by Dr. Penelope Low. A polypropylene fence is to surround SCP-5XXX's containment area. Electromagnetically charged wires are to run under and along the top of the fence to prevent any SCP-5019-B instances from breaching containment. To keep records of health and data, all instances of SCP-5XXX-A are given number designation via identification collars.

Description: SCP-5XXX is a herd of 17 deer1 with the anomalous ability to assume two different entities (SCP-5XXX-A and SCP-5XXX-B) at the same time with the added ability to switch the placements of both SCP-5XXX-A and SCP-5XXX-B in under a second. While born as a singular deer, they will split when they reach a certain age2. At this time, they will glow a blue hue which grows brighter until the split of both SCP-5XXX-A and SCP-5XXX-B occurs. This process is observed to be painful and leaves behind a blue viscous residue.

SCP-5XXX-A is a white-furred deer akin to albinoism. SCP-5XXX-A is observed to have increased intelligence compared to non-anomalous deer. Their fur acts as a sensor, initiating the swap between both entities when a unknown presence to SCP-5XXX-A disturbs their fur. The swap takes 0.1 seconds to happen after the initial disturbance of their fur or by cognitive choice. SCP-5XXX-A will then appear in the initial place of SCP-5XXX-B with little knowledge as to why. Typically followed by SCP-5XXX-A attempting to run and hide from the unseen threat. When in the case of a purposeful swap, they are observed to be less frightened and will attempt to distance themselves from the cause of the swap.

SCP-5XXX-B is a blue semi-transparent and intangible form of it's identical SCP-5XXX-A counterpart. SCP-5XXX-B exhibits no need for the following things: Eating, drinking, sleeping, or social interaction with other SCP-5XXX instance (unlike it's SCP-5XXX-A counterpart). SCP-5XXX-B's behavioral habits differ greatly from SCP-5XXX-A3. SCP-5XXX-B's appearance on cameras is manipulated through light to depict a deer more similar to SCP-5XXX-A but with the only difference being the absence of it's lower legs and the antlers glowing a blue hue.
