Special Containment Procedures: The size and location of SCP-XXXX make effective containment impossible. SCP-XXXX instances are to be monitored by Taskforce Polar Beheamoth. Site 42 will act as headquarters for Taskforce Polar Beheamoth. SCP-XXXX instances are to be inspected monthly for changes in hibernation behaviour during non-winter months when instance locations are accesible. Description: SCP-XXXX instances vary in size. Some of the smaller instances can be several hundred m2 where some of the largest are approximately 50 by 200 km with a surface area in excess of 10,000m2. SCP-XXXX instances appear as clearly defined sections of raised elevation that are completely enclosed in a thick layer of antarctic multi-year ice. The elevation of instances often exceed several hundred meters above sea level. The presence of SCP-XXXX instances were brought the Foundations' attention on ██/██/2017 by Dr. ███████ █████ who had been part of a research expedition to the ██████ ice shelf on the Antarctic coast at ██°██'██" N ██°██'██"W. Dr. ███████ █████ and his team were attempting to collect ice core samples at a depth of 1km, deeper than what have been conducted before in the area. At a depth of 897 m the core samples no longer contained ice but were composed of a substance that was later found to be a form of chitin. Dr. ███████ █████ aware of the anomolous nature of the discovery immediatly contacted a colleague from his home university about the news. Foundation personel intercepted the email. Amnesiacs were administered to the members of Dr. ███████ █████'s expedition.
