Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX has thus far proven incredibly resistant to most efforts at containment. The most efficient technique for culling the rapid growth of SCP-XXXX appears to be through the use of periodic burning spaced approximately 10 7 4 hours apart [Current Estimates Pending]. All foundation personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX must adhere, without any delay exceeding 15 minutes, to the containment schedule assigned to their respective base-camp and are prohibited from leaving the ████████ █████ Nature Reserve until officially relieved of their current assignment as dictated by the containment schedules.

All non-foundation personnel seeking to enter the reserve for research purposes not related to SCP-XXXX are to be restricted to the western and southern quadrants of the area.

Due to the rapid growth of SCP-XXXX, the construction of a perimeter wall around SCP-XXXX is currently underway, and the Scorched Earth Procedure is to be performed within a 5 km radius surrounding SCP-XXXX on ██/██/2018 in an effort to severely stifle the growth of SCP-XXXX.

Due to the unpredictable nature of SCP-XXXX and its rapidly expanding perimeter, research on how to destroy SCP-XXXX in cooperation with the Global Occult Coalition (GOC), and the Russian government are currently underway.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a circular area of anomalous tree-like growths located in the northeast quadrant of the ████████ █████ Nature Reserve, one of the 'zapovednik' reserves in Russia. The area in question is approximately 2 km in diameter and is consistently expanding in size at an exponential rate from its point of origin. Recent estimates as of 2/21/2019 place the rate of growth somewhere between 40-50 meters every 4 hours, although this rate is expected to increase to [REDACTED] within one year.

Based on observation, the tree-like growths of which SCP-XXXX consists, designated as SCP-XXXX-1 instances, appear to be of no known genus or species of flora. This is so far unconfirmed as all SCP-XXXX-1 instances have demonstrated exceptional resilience to conventional damage, making the gathering of any useful genetic samples impossible.
