Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is contained within a perimeter fence encompassing the full area of effect of the object, which must be patrolled at all times by a small, on site security team. This measure is taken to prevent civilian access to an otherwise easily accessible, low security area. Relocation to a more secure containment facility is ill advised, as there is currently no known means of restricting the objects sizable area of effect. The security team must also conduct bi-weekly sweeps of the site, to remove any corpses or other potential vessels.

In case of civilian breach, all persons must be removed from the premises. If civilian casualties occur, resulting instances of SCP-XXXX-2 must be terminated, or captured and contained per authorization of research personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 has the appearance of a large stone monolith of a rounded rectangular shape. The object measures 27.3 meters in height, 3 meters in width, and 2.1 meters in depth. Currently unknown scripture covers the surface of the object and is awaiting translation by foundation language experts.

The anomalous traits of the object are as follows:

• Any Human casualties within a 5 km radius result in instances of SCP-XXXX-2, when the subject's soul is transferred to a random 'vessel' within the same radius. The transfer is not instantaneous and can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.

• A vessel is defined as any unoccupied and relatively undamaged corpse or suitable body. The vessel need not be human, or even capable of movement, prior to transfer.

• Wounds that resulted in the death of the previous occupant will be healed at a slightly accelerated rate, and as if they were not fatal.

• Post transfer, subjects are mentally unstable, and almost always display highly erratic and aggressive behavior. Tests and interviews have shown this to be caused by psychological trauma from the new body, the transfer itself, death, and repressed memories from time spent dead.
