SCP Pencil Idea

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked filing cabinet at all times and not to be used by any site personnel unless prior approved for testing.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard, yellow NO.2 pencil, weighing approximately 7 grams or 0.24 ounces and is 18 centimeters or approximately 7 inches long.

SCP-XXXX looks identical to a typical pencil commonly used by civilians, students and site personnel.

When a person uses SCP-XXXX to write on any surface, SCP-XXXX begins to draw small amounts of blood from the user and transmit them through the shaft of SCP-XXXX onto the surface the user is writing on. This property will continue until no more blood can be drawn from the user, or until the user stops writing.

Continued use of SCP-XXXX for extended periods of time can result in symptoms of severe blood loss for the user and can even lead to death if prolonged use continues.

It is unknown how SCP-XXXX draws blood from the user, however this property only appears to work on humans and previous testing on chimps as test subjects resulted in no effect on test subjects.

SCP-XXXX was discovered in [DATA EXPUNGED] United Kingdom in 1987 after [DATA EXPUNGED] elementary school burned down killing [DATA EXPUNGED] staff and students. SCP-XXXX was later taken into foundation custody after being discovered by first responders.

Addendum: Dr. Rankin has concluded all testing on SCP-XXXX and no further testing is required at this time unless approved by a level 3 researcher or higher.
