Description: SCP-4939 is a silver ballpoint pen of an unknown brand weighing 42.5 grams. The first anomalous property is the ability to draw on any surface. Tested Surfaces include Paper, Carbon Fiber, Wood, Titanium, Carpet, Concrete, and Water. After 25 to 60 minutes of use, The users will be reluctant to give up the Pen, with defiance increasing as time with Pen increases. Firstly researchers thought it was because of curiosity. But after prolonged use of the Pen Users would continuously defy orders to give up the Pen. Users would act spontaneous and erratic when threatened with termination and would continue to defy orders. After Pen was forcefully taken from the subject, the subject’s reaction would vary from crying as if they had lost a loved one. To screaming or yelling in anger stating “You can’t have it, it’s mine” Some subjects went completely insane and bashed their head against the test chamber. All symptoms of anger or loss disappeared in subjects exactly 72 hours after use. But subjects still reported a want for the Pen up to a week later.

In one prolonged test going for 64 days the subject had drawn a detailed drawing of a hole in the chamber wall and miraculously the hole formed and the Subject escaped. The subject was later contained and Pen was confiscated. It is still not clear to how the Subject created the hole. Other attempts on recreating invent resulted in failure.

It was discovered that when two subjects come in contact with the Pen, then one views or hears about another having it. They will become violent towards each other to the point they will kill for it. As if it's a life or death scenario, it has also been observed that the Pen. Has a liking towards certain people. As it has been observed to roll towards people even if they have never had contact with it. The Pen rolls without any interference and on absolute flat surfaces,
whether the Pen is sentient is still unclear.

Addendum:

Note: Testing has shown that physiological background, Gender, Age and Race has no effect on time to attachment. Nor does the Person have to be drawing or writing, only has to have the Pen on them.
