“Hello, everybody! My name is Dr. Rose! I'm a freelance inventor. As you know, the history of science is littered with crazy, critical, and delightfully dotty contraptions. Mine just so happen to be the very best, like none one ever was! Now, every one upfront from the first row!” Max capacity of the room was in only the single digits on a sign by the window. She headed to the front gathering objects out of a box. One was a silver ball and the other a custom egg beater with a cone-like stump replacing the drill bit while also fitted with green rings. "Let's pick which one of you will receive the chance to fire my heat gun? Let’s see! Ricardo Avila! Let us begin!”She lined the men up, there were four rows of seats, most weren’t filled. Yet she held up a hat with names inside.
She drew the gun at the small of her back and aimed it at the head of one man; they moved out of the crazy bitches way. She lifted up her goggles that are designed to fulfill two purposes — Night vision and X-Ray — and to look good while she's on any secret missions. Dr. Rose shoves an eggbeater gun into the observer's chest. Probably a little too roughly as the man grabbed the center of his chest and dropped to the ground curled up. Dr. Rose stared down at him then looked back at the small crowd with a gleefully nervous smile.
“You guys signed those liability waivers, right?”She said motioning, gun in her hand, “ Cause some times I can’t control my strength…”A shot accidentally fires from her gun, hitting a man in the crowd.
“Oh shit are you—”
Suddenly a man was struck by the change in him.“I feel… I feel tingly, my body is getting hot. Oh yeah…”
"…Okay? Guess not."
The man unzipped his fly, the room capacity hit zero. A foundation member said, "What kind of gun is that!?” on his way out, another said,” Time to call the medical personnel…”
'Oh, OK, what happens now?' she tried to figure out then, when she said, "Jeez, you'd think they'd figure out that, by Heat, I meant horny." They were quite gobsmacked “Wait! Wait! Everyone come back!”Dr. Rose threw her hanker chief down and put the gun back in her box. But it was too late they were all gone and there was no one left to hear her. Before her loneliness could sink in, “Fine, I don’t need others anyways.”
It was several long days in her lab, as usual, she neglected her basic human needs. The intensity in her eyes as she looked upon her unfinished creation, caused an excited tremble on her body. ”I have to work harder! To be the best… takes sacrifice!”Three more hours later she was down on the floor,' 'Done," she announced, "It’s finally done…”A long while in a black unconscious grip, her blurry vision and eyelids opened to the familiar face of her older sister, Dr. Thorne.
“You were out for three days…”She says
The woman's eyes shone. It was obvious she loved her sister more than anything in the world. Still, her sister's negligence was unjustified.“Do you hate me?”
“Hardly. You just push too hard for results.”
“It was a little hectic, but it was worth it.” she picked up her project, to her it was beautiful, her heart leaped. It was a suit, shining like gold with metal chest plates as large as a license plate and the pauldrons and vambraces thick as a tree trunk, tubular wires connected behind the knees."I also discovered a material called meconium. It's a contradictory material that causes huge reality collapses and is useful as a weapon but hard to contain. Luckily I have the Hive! That creates a local reality lockdown aaaand restrains the foundation fabric and the multiversal energies!"
Dr. Throne waited for her to get done but had to ask, "What is that suit, little sister?"
“I call it the God Suit! Outfitted with a katana, the MergerBlade. A sword so strong and sharp it can cut through you on a conceptual level."Dr. Rose walks from her work table to her whiteboard. Circling the word 'Pata Particles' she draws a few examples," For instance, let's say I swing on earth but you are standing on the moon, the distance would prevent a regular sword from cutting you, but the Merger blade does so anyway.”
"And What is the suit made out of?"
"Pata particles. Grains of Infinity."Dr. Rose reports, "They seem to be a major crafting component in the realm of pataphysics. The elementary particle aspect seems to retain Omnipresence by definition," giving it a major upper hand to anything it's fighting. Granular composition maintains the infinitesimal properties, only within dimensionality."
Dr. Thorne stood up and gazed around at the space, a laboratory in which structures of a complexity as yet unknown are being fashioned, with rows of stainless steel, machines, computers, and glass. Dirty dishes from the month before and laid by her sister's workbench. Everything was a mess, nuts, and bolts, as well as the scent of various motor oils and antifreeze, filled the air, and layed on the ground. Clicks and clanks from the extra machinery on the walls weren't deafening but still a minor annoyance. It was loud and dirty, the type of work they'd ceased two centuries before when the human population exploded and globalized. The rest was a museum of various gadgets and doodads.
One of the foundation's secrets, only known to the higher-ups, was that they were devised and propagated before the time of God, and therefore there was a time that they had no existence.
Breathing a long sigh, Dr. Thorne says genuinely, "I'm starting to assume you enjoy this.”
“How could you not?”
“If I didn't love you, you'd be dead, Samari," Dr. Thorne spoke at long last, "Be grateful for the ones you love."
“Big sis. Don’t start your bullshit.” she’s anxious. Proud, shocked, slightly humiliated to have left her defense to someone else. She couldn't perform magic like her older sister, "I guess I do owe you one for bringing me back from the dead," she whispered to herself.
Dr. Thorne smiles slightly, "Come get dinner.”
Dr. Rose’s weak self sprang to life, “Ooooh! What are we havin’!?”
Dr. Thorne smiled cheerily at her sisters' enthusiasm.“Why don’t you come to see for yourself?”
__
A long oak table graced the center of the room, its ten carved chairs at attention. Dr. Thorne moved past to the living room with a plate of muffins and coffee. Dr. Rose slit open an envelope, she pulled out the page and learned what’s inside.
“Damn it!”
“What is it now?” said her cousin Enoch. Maybe they found cocaine on her and she needed twenty-five thousand to get out of bail.
“I knocked a man out and now he’s suing me. But I got a thank you letter from the man I made temporarily horny…”
Enochs gaze fell to the silvery ring the man before him wore."Again?" He tucks up his glasses, "There is time for fun, and time to work — That’s your third lawsuit this month. ”
Dr. Rose crosses her arms and pouts.“I know right? What’s thier problem. I’m NOT tryin’ to press NO charges against them. Why they comin' at me.”
Her comment… It was inconceivable. Unthinkable. Unpredictable in its utter stupidity.“Are you tone-deaf?”
She calmly drank juice.”Yeah, but you are a Superlawyer, you can handle it.”
Enochs’s head shook, "Your not getting out of this that easily! This time I require compensation!”
Dr. Rose spit her drink out.“H-huh! You're so wrong about this! Access to some energy resources will almost certainly require enhanced measures to ensure safe operations and capabilities to safeguard the environment. Some solutions will require both capital and human resources investment, for example, improved infrastructure, further recruitment. Simply, they can't support me without going bankrupt. I do this for free, remember?
“And what good does that do you?”
Dr. Rose slammed her face into her peas, spilling gravy off of her plate."Greedy fuck…" She wept as Dr. Thorne stepped into the dining room to bring the butter tray in.
“Samantha, please eat your food properly.”
“No. Let me sulk… I'm a damaged human being.” she made up her mind, it couldn’t be so bad. She lifts her face with a hopeful feeling, "Fine. I can do it. How much will I need?”
“How much? You'll need $70,000.”
“No way,” Dr. Rose muttered,”70,000!? Are you serious!?" she wines, "Why are you busting my chops today?" she asked as Enoch rose and wandered back to the kitchen for more food.
“I am sorry, sister, you must take responsibility for the consequences and pain of your situation."
Enochs's eyes deviated over her face, but he gave no indication that he understood her, much less that he wanted to respond.
“I hate being in debt, I hate owing money!"
“Then do something about it,” stated Enoch."You may as well sell your dignity."
"Fine! I'm going to become a whore!”
Dr. Rose left, paused in the kitchen doorway then entered again after she saw him, she turned around and left, keeping her words to her self. She must not say it and that it would be useless to do so.
___
Dr. Rose wandered the halls of site 19." I can't believe he cut me off,” She thought, looking at the time,” now I gotta whore myself out to these bastards.” She sighed, it was on one of those occasions that she wandered farther than she realized. Dr. Rose had no desire to go out anywhere and wandered from room to room. Her blind sister had more direction than her and would usually accompany her like a compass. She knows she's lost and is desperate."Damn it why is this place so big?”She stopped in a rest area and saw flyers on the bulletin board."Wheres the map?" Many of them were for sex lines, underneath a used positive pregnancy test. "Thank god that's not mine.”
After a lazy nap in a lounge area, she awoke to a shoulder nudge, "Wha— who the fuck?”
“Are you awake?” said a soft male voice, tan and tall, he shook her shoulder with his bronze hand.”It is time to leave”
“Oh, oh good? I mean— what are you doing here? Why are you being creepy?”
“7:00 am…”Cain said, then put ” you’ve been sitting here since 2 in the afternoon, yesterday,”
“For real? Damn it… I don’t remember… ”
Cain looked around at the empty wine bottles on the ground.“ You puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door.”
A movement made her sick, and she pushed herself up to vomit. brown and sticky resin poured from her mouth onto her shoes.“OWE! My headaches, owe… I got so wasted. No body wanted to be my designated driver. And I was stuck here."
“One can never be too careful… I suppose.”
“Once you know your plan, keep telling your story. You'll learn the truth that no one cares. That such attachments are falsehoods and will only bring misery."The woman got up and looked at the door,” I gotta get out of here. Wait till this blows over.”
“You're too negative, you'll intimidate yourself out of trying things, get too hung up on past failures, and won't be fun to be around. I have complete confidence in your inventions.”Cain bowed then soon after walked toward the door.”It was nice seeing you again.”
"Yeah, sure I guess…"
She made her way to an archway, poking a holographic plate, with fluctuation of lavender light, the web way portal dilated for a moment. Where there had been a vacuum it showed the window into a different world.
Reappearing on one of the elegant gantries, she made her way to one of the hundred curving walkways. All around her was bathed in a radioactive glow, as the spaceship was encased in a greenish aura. Metal wary from its long voyages into the stars, it was like an artificial disc continent of glowing domes and arching bridges. Metal energy wings constructed from a thousand interlocking bronze feathers hung off the sides. Energy sails or Wings unfurled, the Crystal ship was soaked in the life-giving energy of an inorganic plant with mirrored leaves a hundred kilometers long. Towers spiraled into the darkness, hundreds of figures along its length.
“Back at last! Sup, beyotch!"
The Ai responded as a voice from above said in a computerized voice, "Don't call me a bitch you stupid ugly ass hoe."
"Oh yeah? Suck on this dick!"Dr. Rose argued back.
"You are a woman."The A.I responds.
"You don't know that! I gave my self both!"
"You are a liar."
Dr. Rose still didn't want to give up the argument. "Why are you oppressing me?!!"
"I hope that you die someday."
"Your so mean! I never want to see you again!"
She laid a hand on two doors and they melted away revealing twin corridors, open and bright with a neon light that lined the corners to the very end. A secret kept her from socializing. One that brought her nervousness when mentioned. As her experiments did have a price, exposure to the many volatile materials left her bald. It pained her family to see her 30 pounds thinner, wearing an ill-fitting wig in place of her once waist-length ebony hair, but her indomitable spirit continued to leave them in awe.
Until it didn't.
A controller in one hand and a little white baggy in the other. Her gaze flickered to the screen beneath her fingertips, and she typed the access codes. She'd learned the parts of the warship inside and out while learning the battle planning and looked for the configuration button among her options popping up on the screen. In-game, but on the ship it's self, Lasar canons load up on light. She set the timer for the explosions to start on the opposite side of the planet, startled when the first went off as soon as she gave the order. She watched explosions wrack the planet until they rose high enough that the toxic dust storm he'd started marred the surface of the planet from view. Her own ship rocked from the explosion. And the words target destroyed appeared inside the windshield of the vessel.
"Fuck yeah screw those dudes."
Dr. Rose ate a burger that turned to mist with every bite and changed the channel upon a flatscreen T.V set. The beginning trumpets of the Star wars starter theme played. 3 hours passed and she then got up removed french fries from a microwave soon only to realize she had no ketchup.
"Damn it… gotta go back."
The lab was dark, naturally. However, this time the blinking row of lights on the walls was turned off. Lab corridor quiet, she heard a sound, saw alarms blaring, a red light waved around.
"Falarith!? Enoch?!" she called, "You there?"
Walking down the hall outside her families Cell was eerie. The flashes of light, darkness, and blood, the scent of sulfur and death. Her foot stopped in a puddle by a body. The taste of death was in her mouth and if she looked, she knew her shoes would be covered in blood. There was a chewing noise flesh. A zombie was face deep into the side of another researcher. His face was bloodied, and one arm was covered in blood from his shoulder wound. When she was spotted, with more undead coming from around where she came, she put on a ring. Several steps back and now 6 feet away from a small horde of 10 Zed.
A spray of gun light makes the horde members' body shake. They fall like cut tall grass one over the other. Men in black step through the mound of the dead and aim thier
Dr. Rose smiles sweetly in an almost eerie fashion.“Oh, now I get it, this is a fight. Sorry, not right now I—” Two men in black darted through the bodies. The swing of an arm made her dunk, she sweeps ankles and slips her hand into the chest, blood in, blood out. Heart in her hands, it blooms roses and she knees a jaw making a man bite down on the organ. Dr. Rose anticipated her first kick and snatched it, sweeping a man off his feet again. Another kick ejects a body through a pillar. Each blow she gave blended together, an endless stream of combos, each blow leading to the next source of viscera. In the hail of gunfire, her body rejected metal, and bullets popped out of her hand. The greenish aura dims from her left hands ring. More shoot up and run at her, Dr. Rose didn't wait for them to finish but launched a slap kick straight for one's head making them collide, "Bye-bye.” she waves after.
Blood was a slash of stark red against a white marble floor. She walks away, a knife covered in blood. Another one ran off. She spots them.
“Whelp…looks like I missed a spot.”
Dr. Rose walked down a hallway tunnel. She walked past where someone wrote 'Help me.' in blood. The man in black hit a dead end, turned around, and fired a gun. Dr. Rose leans her head out of the way and the bullets fly down the hall past her. Dr. Rose gave the wood box a swift kick. It hit the man square in the head and he fell. Dr. Rose ducked a fist and maneuvered around a kick, snatching the intruder's body and shoving it into the wall.
"That's what I thought," Dr. Rose interrupted acoustically, " Now come quietly and tell us what this is about…" Something long and full of fur left swiped pounded the man into red mush, then the rest stepped in.
"My oh my… What do we have here, a tasty little morsel."Blood dripped like honey off its lips, the fox woman rose slowly."… how about I take a bite out of you next?"All the tips of her nine tails straighten out and point directly right at Dr. Rose. In unison, they spear right at her. SCP-953 leaps with them.
In a mixture of dazed desire and amazement, her lips parted seductively, her eyes wide with predation."Let's see what your tasty insides look like!"
Dr. Rose then grabbed two tails and swung them round and round. SCP-953 plummeted into an unobstructed doorway. The creature twisted and turned on the ground in agony as blood spilled from the V'd area of her tail. Dr. Rose released the furry tails of the skip and shut the door of the room it flew in."Bitch can fuck right the hell on off." Dr. Rose moved through the hole it made and examined her mechanical rings sting. It activated her to use regeneration and super strength with another quality via an injection of greenish energy. A hereditary blood anomaly that makes her immune to all but the toughest of SCP kind. A reality anchor.
Now clear about this being a breach, she returns to her lab, It didn't take long for her to get there, and when she came in from the garage, she went directly to her gun cabinet and took out a rifle. Silvery with reddish glowing cartridges, a blue circuity continued to the gun which served as a source and stretched across its muzzle.
The Deconstructor Revolver:
A revolver that, when it hits a particular object in space. Will not only kill that person but will cause whatever ideology the individual holds to no longer be viewed as favorable. It uses Orichatrions, which also make up the affinity of chaos that precedes the creation of things. Only refrained within its local universe. There was a sound, like a gunshot, but maybe a firecracker. The sound of a laser gun went off, and warm blood splattered her. She'd watched the laser missiles fall around her for almost an hour and skipped like a child on a sugar high. Orbs of gravity, disperse. Zombie bits flew in all directions. The blast ripped into the sides of buildings turning windows into blizzards of deadly shrapnel. Blue electromagnetic waves and ash scatter everywhere. A blast of air through the mass of blew locked doors wide open.
The walls and floor of the hallway were splattered with the blood of the reddest roses. The bodies of the newly killed still kicking. Flashes are seen interspersed around bodies torn to shreds.
"Something went by here…"
He leered at Dr. Rose, arched his eyebrows with a satirical grin, then stretched with great exaggeration. Dr. Rose spun around on her feet and glanced over at the man who acted as if he'd just woken up from a nap.
"Is it over yet?"He looked around unamazed and swore, "Shit! Not again… " He scavenged the bodies for a pistol and raised one up. He put a hole in the back of his head. Blood splashed onto the wall behind him. Dr. Rose spotted the ruby set amulet inlaid with a circular design of diamonds. She Raised it up, and fully sure she shouldn't put it on, she tucked it into her pocket. On her way, she reached a stairwell and descended to a floor with wider, taller corridors — as if she'd gone from the wing with private chambers to a more public area.
"Let's see, where were we?" he said with a grin, "You have 20 seconds to get out yourself before I blow the hatch off."
"No!"
Clefs evil grin peered in at Dr. Glass through an ace of spades keyhole."Are you afraid of getting fired?"
"T-That's not it!" Glass shivers within the closed lunch area," It's for considering asking me to betray someone else's trust,".
"What? I wouldn't do that." Clef Lies.
"You electrified an SCP! We can't terminate skips! You know that! You also sacrificed several MTFs!"
"But it was considered mysterious as well as dangerous. Plus, who said it was dead? Robotics are often used in our work environments and are usually not considered to be deadly."
"I didn't want to do that! you made me an accessory to murder! You won't manipulate me again! I'm staying right here until the breach passes."
"You little stinker," he said with the full aim of the doors handle."I ain't leavin' ya here. You have until the count of three!"
"Eeeeek!!"
Dr. Glass gives a girly shriek. Rose made her way closer, as a spectator. It's brutal, even comical, yet one can't help watching it with some sort of smirk.
"Huh?" on Clef's appearance, from his bulbous nose down to his goofy grin, was now a pistol aimed straight at the red-haired woman.
"Hey! I'm a Doctor too! Don't shoot!"
Clef makes a question more for himself than her."A woman?," He flashed his most sardonic grin."How can you stand being this close to me?"
"Yeah, well, I've seen a lot of ugly and you don't qualify." Dr. Rose replies.
"Or maybe you're immune to my … charm, " Clef expressed, a smiled pulled his cheeks all the way up."So, what's up with the gun and ring?"
Lost in her thoughts, Dr. Rose replied, "Of course; can't you see?"She explained her inventions and described her discoveries in language so lucid and so characteristic that she shivered and hugged herself in thought provoked pleasure."…just thinking about it… my bodies gone amuck! I can't sleep, I can't eat! It's such a pleasant, pleasant feeling…"
"Okay, crazy bitch… you're unpredictable, and I can't let you out of here until we know for sure you won't run wild."
"No! Don't get him going!" Dr. Glass warns in fear."He's capable of more than you know!"
"I've already told you. I'm a freelance inventor…?"
"… freelance? The fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"We will follow full creative freedom, but we won't follow creative anarchy. I can take care of my own funding and materials(from the dump yard)— I can make the most perfect creations known to mankind! "
"All right,” Clef said briefly, "It just sounds like they keep you around because you would be a greater threat on your own and the foundation doesn't want anyone to get thier hands on you."
"They pick sides . So your half right about that…"
From behind the door, Dr. Glass stammers with his, "Hold on… that voice sounds… familiar —Samantha?"
"It's the cinnamon roll! Hey Glass! What's up? Still dreaming of doing Diogenes up the but??"
"You know this one, Simon?"
"She's J-Class, not exactly a staff, she and her family members are fugitives. They racked up a huge bounty for the secrets they hold, an ancient intelligence, "Glass explained," For example, "
" Also, I got tired of paying the bills. The world demands so much of me! Simpler times back then. I remember when a goat would do the trick. And Glass you breached the confidentiality agreement!"
"I'm sorry but that info is on a need to know basis…"
"No offense but you sound like an entitled bitch."
"Fuck off! So what if I came for the free rent!"
"What do they do to keep this one under raps?"
"Well… most of what she makes is confined for their use only, as for the rest of her family who exists within the foundation. Enoch Eden holds 1 out of 4 quarters of the foundation donations in the palm of his hand and his corporation works in incorporated within the foundation. A hereditary blood anomaly that makes her immune to all but the toughest of SCP kind. As for Samantha Eden, She's also laying the foundations of our modern knowledge of reality it's self with new and sometimes unlawful inventions."
Clef let loose a low impressed whistle.
"Only because They would cost too much to make," she justified, raising a silver ball in her hands. The silver eyeball opens its eyeglasses optics scope, "Another man's trash is another man's treasure, I made this out of a car battery, more electronic parts, and a disco ball!
"How?"
"Science-y shit my friend, Science shit."Dr. Rose tossed Clef the immortality medallion. She tripped over one of the paint cans stacked in her path, falling and sliding across the floor, snapped back, and walked away with a hand wave."See ya!"
