Special Containment Procedures: Destruction of all known SCP 4787 files, books, or any future medium capable of holding an animation is necessary for containing the dangerous cognitohazard.

Description: SCP 4787 can take the form of any type of animation. The animation consists of a stick figure who seemingly desires an uncooked brick of top ramen, ramen noodles. A block of ramen then floats into her mouth, and she expresses pleasure over the crunch of the noodles. She then opens her eyes to reveal they now glow of red light.

SCP 4787 has the anomalous effect where one sentient creature (labeled SCP 4787-1) will perfectly recreate the animation frame for frame Then the anomalous effect of the cognitohazard will take hold, the creature who drew SCP 4787 will lose control of motor functions, at this point the creatures only capable of doing actions that will increase the viewing of SCP 4787, such as sending it to friends.

Any creature that views the animation will have a strong desire to eat top ramen in a similar way that the character in the animation does. Once a creature begins showing signs of wanting a brick of Top Ramen ramen noodles, they are reclassified as SCP 4787-2. Instances of SCP 4787-2 will immediately seek out and consume a full brick of Top Ramen ramen noodles. They will consume the entire brick in one bite often resulting in severe damage to the lining of the mouth, tongue, and in serious cases dislocation of the bottom jaw.

Once an instance of SCP 4787 - 2 has consumed ramen, they are no longer affected by the cognitohazard. Any creatures demonstrating wounds consistent to SCP 4787 - 2 instances are to be given class A amnastics and brats to a medical center immediately. Instances of SCP 4787-1 will regain body functions naturally 6 hours after finishing the creation of SCP 4787.

Addendum: 4787-1
If an instance of SCP 4787 is shown an instance of SCP 4787 drawn by a different instance of SCP 4787-1. In the scenario that an instance of SCP 4787-1 is shown an instance of SCP 4787 drawn by a different instance of SCP 4787-1, the creature will not regain its motor functions for another 6 hours, regardless of how recently they drew their instance of SCP 4787.

Addendum: 4787-2
If an organism observes SCP 4787 without being in connection with the original SCP 4787-1, the creature will itself become an instance of 4787-1.

The following report was written after the first discovered instance of SCP 4787 was contained in site 19

-Dr. Waller: So what do we have today.

A group of three D class 67914-67916 are in an observation room, separated by a one way mirror, the flip book is lowered into the observation room.

-Dr. Waller: (Over the intercom) 67914 please view the book.
-D Class 67914: I’m goin mind control.

D Class 67914 flips through the pages.

D Class 67915 and 67916 view the flip book. D Class 69715 proceeds to attempt to open the door, it’s locked. The D Class then sit in a circle, displaying no sign of anomalous behavior.

-Dr. Waller: Should we give them the ramen?
-Dr. Reen: Sure

A pack of Top Ramen, Beef flavored ramen noodles is lowered into the observation room via elevator. The moment D Class 67915, 67916 hear the elevator, they jump up. The D Class viciously attack each other,kicking and biting , seemingly in an attempt to gain control of the packet of Beef flavored Top Ramen ramen noodles. 67915 knocks down D Class 67916, taking the time to grab the packet of Beef flavored Top Ramen ramen noodles, 67915 then attempts to eat the packet of Beef Flavored Top Ramen ramen noodles, unable to get the noodles in his mouth, 67915 grabs hold of his bottom jaw with his left hand and wrenches it out of location, then with the Ramen in his mouth, he slams his mouth back shut and then falls over. D Class 67916 takes the opportunity to jump on top of 67915 and starts scratching at 67915’s stomach.

Another packet of Beef flavored Top Ramen ramen noodles is lowered into the observation room, D Class 67916 immediately jumps off of 67915 and grabs the Beef flavored Top Ramen ramen noodles and takes a giant bite, seemingly enough to neutralize the effects of SCP 4787, 67916 slumps down on the wall. Security personnel enter to escort D Class 67915 to the med bay and D Class 67916 to his cell. D Class 67914 approaches officer Miller.

After reading the report I believe that because the original 4787-1 instance was not present, D Class 67914 became and instance of SCP 4787-1 due to his own lack of interest in the packet of Beef Flavored Top Ramen ramen noodles as well as his attempts to get the other D Class to observe the book.

+ Incident Report \October - 2 - 2005\

In response to reports of a new cult, the foundation deployed a task force to the small Canadian town of Banff to neutralize the threat of a potential 5thest church encampment. Upon arrival the task force found no normal activity in the town. The force deployed a drone to facilitate faster search.

The team recognized a crowd centered around the town’s small airport. The drone was brought closer and the people all seemed to be on there phones, paying no attention to the drone. An older man and a young girl were seen on the tarmac in a bubble created by the people. Recognizing the behavior as atypical for a 5thest church, the team set the drone to autonomous recon and retreated.

An Antonov AN-74 is seen making a landing approach. Once the aircraft had lande the cargo bay was opened, Revealing 8 pallets of maruchan brand Beef flavored ramen noodles, the crowd rushed into the open cargo bay, scrambling to ge, but not fighting for the ramen.

Once the entire congregation had each gotten a packet, the girl and man, seen before on the tarmac, led the group to a drive in theater. An unknown recording containing a cognito hazard was played. The drone, detecting the hazard, cut its footage and repositioned for safe review of the file. Now the drone was viewing the crowd.

The people are seen consuming there ramen the group writhing in their mutual ramen fueled pleasure. Once the ramen was eaten, they returned to the plane for more. This cycle repeated until the drone ran out of battery and the footage was lost.

After review of file rcdy 787594, I believe the incident in banff was an outbreak of SCP 4787. I have reviewed Dr. Waller’s notes and I believe they should be updated to reflect observations from the latest outbreak. It seems two instances of 4787-1 showed each other their own instances of 4787. This seemed to delay the atrophy of 4787-1’s anomalous effects, causing a positive feedback loop and causing the entire population of the town to be converted to instances of SCP 4787-2. In the occurrence of two SCP 4787-1 showing each other there SCP 4787 the occurrence should be labeled SCP 4787-3. Another interesting possibility is that the brand of ramen may change the SCP-4787-2 response. It seems that Top Ramen causes aggression and that Maruchan causes a sort of “Noodle orgy”.

In response to the ongoing outbreak of SCP 4787 I have created a neutralization plan. I suggest lacing 8 pallets worth of Maruchan brand Ramen noodles with an intermediate dose of Barbiturate and a Class B amnestic.
