SCP:4059

Object class: Euclid

Special containment procedures:

SCP 4059 is to be kept in a 5*5*5 airtight steel room At Site ___. A primary door and secondary door system is used only for access into SCP 4059’s containment room. A pressure of 0 is to be maintained at all times. If this pressure change occurs with any personel in the containment room, refer to containment procedure 124-f. No object or device that emits any sort of energy, weather it be directly or indirectly, is allowed in SCP 4059’s containment chamber. If SCP 4059’s primary door and secondary door are open at the same time, than a containment breach is to be sounded and containment procedure 124-f is to be initiated. Retrieval of SCP 4059 is to be an Alfa class priority. SCP 4059 is to be transported an airtight glass container. The container may not be opened at any time in order to prevent a containment breach. Personnel with level 3 clearance or higher are allowed to enter SCP 4059’s containment chamber. A pressurized suit shall be worn at all times by anyone in SCP 4059’s containment room. Physical contact with SCP 4059 is to occur only when testing with D-Class personnel. SCP 4059 is to be broken bi-daily using an automated antenna that emits a frequency of 1000Hz to prevent SCP 4059 from having to much explosive force when the breaking routine occurs.

Description:

SCP 4059 is a glass vase with various intricate drawings depicted on each instance of SCP 4059. SCP 4059 typically has lines of text in various languages but some crude drawings have been recorded. These lines of text currently ranging from ancient egyptian hieroglyphs from lines from shakespeare. It is unknown weather SCP 4095 is sentient or not, but testing has confirmed that it appears to have some level of intelligence. SCP 4095 emits a green haze using unknown methods, getting increasingly bright from when it was last broken. SCP 4059 is extremely brittle and will break apart if any sort of energy is applied. This does not apply to gravity and energy made by organic substances though. as found out in test log: 12. If any biological substance touches SCP 4095 it will have the same effect as using a remote device. The force in that which SCP 4095 breaks is determined by how bright SCP 4095 was at the time. Forces of SCP 4095 breaking have been recorded to at most [REDACTED] tons of TNT at Site __. It is unknown how powerful SCP 4095’s potential explosive force is or if it even has a limit. Testing of this theory has been denied by 05 command.
Once broken, SCP 4095 will repair itself instantaneously after an unknown constant of time has elapsed to reform as a SCP 4095 instance in a different Location that is not sealed off to the room it was currently in. Anyone caught in the radius of the scattered pieces of SCP 4095 as it reforms will at random live or die. Touching any SCP 4095 shards will result in a significantly higher chance of death. Any changes is this behavior must be reported to head of command immediately. Autopsies from SCP 3001 victims have shown that many cuts line the legs, body, neck, and head. Cause of death has been determined to be severe blood loss and total organ failure.
If any shard leaves the sealed room, then it will become non-anomalous. SCP 4095 will then display no lack of the missing shard or loss of mass. Through which it does this is unknown.

Matter inside SCP 4095 has also been found, with a consistency of something like jello. The substance is highly corrosive but does not harm SCP 4095 in any way. Chemical breakdown of the matter has a resemblance to battery acid. Blood has also been found in SCP 4095 whenever someone dies in the reformation process, raising speculation that the matter contained within SCP 4095 is used for digestion for victims fluids and other materials. Small life forms that resemble paramecia have been found but are much larger than any other known species of paramecia. These life forms may have gained classification as SCP 4095-1. The reason that SCP 4095-1 are able to live within the matter inside SCP 4095 is currently unknown. Study of SCP 4095-1 has proven difficult because SCP 4095-1 cannot sustain life outside of SCP 4095’s fluids. When SCP 4095 breaks, no traces of the matter can be found.

Test log: 013:

At 2:31pm, D-class designated D-45764 was instructed to enter SCP 4095’s containment chamber. SCP 4095 was broken before D-45764 entered the the containment room. D-45764 was then instructed to approach the sight where SCP-4095 had been broken. At 2:47pm, painful shrieks where heard inside the containment chamber. When investigated, it had been shown that D-45764 had his left arm detached from his body. D-45764’s arm was not found anywhere and was not recovered. Autopsy had revealed normal causes of death for SCP 4095 victims. After the test Dr, Jasmine had postponed any further research of SCP 4095 until D-45764’s arm be recovered.

Test log: 012:

D-class 3709 was instructed to enter SCP 4095’s containment chamber to begin testing. No pre-breaking of SCP 4095 had occured before hand. D-3709 was instructed to wait in between the primary door and the secondary door until SCP 4095’s reformation process had began. Primary door had opened and because of the subtle pressure change due to a malfunction in the depressurizer, SCP 4095 broke. D-3709 was instructed to not touch any shard and get away from the farthest one from the pedestal it was currently resting on. D-3709 did this without hesitation and ran to the nearest corner of the room. When the reformation process began, SCP 4095 had appeared 2 feet away from D-3709. At this point termination of the test was considered but head of the experiment had denied this. Testing was to be ongoing until the goal was accomplished. D-3709 instantly recoiled from this and ran away to the other side of the containment room. This did not, to the researchers surprise, did not make SCP 4095 break. In light of this new discovery, D-3709 was instructed to approach SCP 4095 and touch its new handel. When this was completed, SCP 4095 broke and forced D-3709 onto his back. Testing ended and D-3709 recovered without incident.

Incident report: [REDACTED]:

Testing of SCP 4095 was going as planned, live animals were being used to see if this would trigger a reaction from SCP 4095. As predicted it had not. One of the rabbits being used jumped up on the pedestal and brushed up on SCP 4095. SCP 4095 then went through a violent breaking event, killing all life inside the chamber and making the primary and secondary door system malfunction. At this point a total containment breach was sounded and all nearby doors were closed and sealed, preventing SCP 4095 from appearing somewhere else in the facility. Also researchers had no knowledge that SCP 4095’s reformation process could potentially be deadly. MTF guards responded quickly by gathering all shards of SCP 4095 and putting them in the on site transporting unit. Two minutes after guards began cleaning up Commander Franklin who was organizing everything, had noticed that all the guards had collapsed and had several cuts on them. SCP 4095 had appeared 5 feet away from Franklin just to his right. Realizing what had happened, he had deduced that you can't touch any on SCP 4095’s shards or else once SCP 4095 has reformed, you will die. He thought of a way to re-contain SCP-4095 and had decided that he would need to use a broom. He had found one that a janitor had abandoned nearby and began sweeping SCP 4095 into the on site transport unit. SCP 4095 was re-contained without incident. Commander Franklin was awarded for his bravery and new Containment procedures were made to address SCP 4095 breaching containment. Such as Containment procedure 124-f. The F being for Francis.

Addendum 01:

Incident [REDACTED] has proven that containment of SCP 4095 was initially underdone and SCP 4095 be reclassified from Safe to Euclid. Incident [REDACTED] has also proven the need for new containment procedures to be made. Containment procedure 124-F, and Containment procedure [REDACTED] has been made in response to another containment breach involving SCP 4095
