SCP-8494
Item #: SCP-8494
Object: Safe Euclid Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8494 must be contained within 20x20 full decorated room as per request of SCP-8494 with 3 surveillance cameras on the inside and 3 cell guards outside of the containment chamber. The subject are allowed to roam the facility within Site ██-█-█ and are to be under the surveillance of 2 guards following the subject within 4 meters away. The subject will aren't allowed to exit Site ██-█-█ are freely allowed to exit the Site ██-█-█ with under the surveillance of 5 facility guards [DATA CORRUPT]
Description: SCP-8494 appears to be an ordinary Asian female, standing at 1.76 meters tall with and weighing about 59 kg (130 lbs). SCP-8494 is capable of having 6 different languages and has the mentality of a teenager even though SCP-8494 appears to be more matured herself. SCP-8494's sometimes appears to be emotionally confused due to her actions towards other personnel. (See Addendum 8494-A).
The full biography of SCP-8494 is unknown due to some unknown harmless high pitch noise when SCP-8494 introduces herself. Any other written notes that written by SCP-8494 about herself is completely blurred out to the viewer's eye. (See Addendum 8494-A).
In an attempt of subjugation, the MTF unit attempts to capture SCP-8494 in 20██ at ███████, █████ when the locals reported that SCP-8494 successfully attempted to stop an incoming storm herself. The attempt of subjugation failed when another vehicle crashed into the transportation vehicle where SCP-8494 is and escaped. Many other subjugations were a failure and no casualties happened when attempting to capture SCP-8494.
In the final attempt of subjugation, SCP-8494 finally agrees to be captured by the MTF unit in an undisclosed location where she seemingly praying at an altar.
SCP-8494 seems to possess an unnatural fortuitous aura that shares the fortune itself to any living object within 2 meters radius. The cause of this peculiar effect is unknown and only SCP-8494 knows it herself but due to an unknown high pitch noise, which hinders any personnel or technical and mechanical device to acknowledge any information about her made this impossible. It was observed that SCP-8494's ability is autonomous and cannot control it by herself as when a researcher asked her to use her ability to terminate D-class 73941. (See Incident [DATA CORRUPT]).
To convince SCP-8494 not to make any attempt of escape, the Site Director agrees to accept any requests made by SCP-8494 in exchange of helping them in the future experiments. (See Addendum 8494-C).
Addendum 8494-A: First recorded interview with SCP-8494 by Dr. Shinzu, a new researcher.
Interviewer: Dr. Will Shinzu, Site ██-█-█.
Interviewee: SCP-8494
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Shinzu: Good Afternoon, SCP-8494. We are conducting today your first interview with me. I hope you kindly cooperate without any further harm and effort.
SCP-8494: You know I have a name, Doctor. Don't call me with such numbers. It's rude.
Dr. Shinzu: Forgive me but we don't even know your name yet, SCP-8494. Also, it's a protocol to call every entity their given numbers.
SCP-8494: Is that so? Well, I guess you'll be asking my name. My name is (High pitched noise).
Dr. Shinzu: I'm sorry, can you repeat that again?
SCP-8494: I said my name is (High pitched noise).
Dr. Shinzu: (Scratches his ears) What was that? I hear some noise pitch in my ears. Maybe my earpieces is malfunctioning. (Removed his earpieces). Now, can you say your name again?
SCP-8494: (High pitched noise).
Dr. Shinzu: Weird…
Dr. Shinzu: (Looks at the 2 guards) Did you two heard her name?
Guards:(The two guards confusedly disagreed) We only heard a some weird pitch, Doc.
Dr. Shinzu: Hmm..Interesting. (Wrote something in the files)
SCP-8494: (Shows signs of disappointment) Oh come on! Is it hard to moan out my name?!
Dr. Shinzu: SCP-8494, please condemn any inappropriate languages and actions. We don't tolerate such kind of vulgarity.
SCP-8494: Oh really? you don't seem to be that kind of man who is boring and plain. (Whispers) I bet we can have fun.
Dr. Shinzu: (Stutters) I— Uh.. I'm— I'm not really tha—-
Interface: On point, Dr. Shinzu or otherwise, you will be demoted to lower section.
Dr. Shinzu: Forgive my repetitiveness. Now we should continue, SCP—
SCP-8494: (Gives short, angrily grunt) Oh come on! Give him a break. He looks tired and crap from all of the BS you researchers are maki—
Interface: (Shouts angrily) You will cooperate with us or we will terminate you!
SCP-8494:(Looks down) Gomenasai..
Dr. Shinzu:(Hmm..She just had a very different attitude before and now, she obediently followed a direct command without any hesitation? Hmm..) Now, let's continue shall we? Where did you come from originally? When is your birthdate? Please enlighten me about yourself, SCP-8494. You seem to be an interesting female subject for me.
SCP-8494: Uhm..Thank you for the compliment though. Well, I was born in (High pitched noise continued for 30 seconds) and that's why! (She smiled).
Dr. Shinzu: Uhhh…what the heck is that noise? Are you making that noise, SCP-8494?
SCP-8494: What noise?? I didn't heard anything except my cute lil' voice while introducing you about myself!
Dr. Shinzu: How the hell? (Clears throat) How about this? Just write your name, age, birthdate and a short summary of yourself in this piece of paper.
SCP-8494: Ok, sir! (Picks up the pen and started to write in a piece of paper for a minute). Done! (Gleefully gave back to him)
Dr. Shinzu: Holy sh— Hey! Can you see this? (Brings the paper in front of the camera).
Interface: We can't see anything because it is blurred, Dr. Shinzu, but we've seen something interesting while you were on your ongoing interview. We can dismiss the interview now.
Dr. Shinzu: What? But we haven't acquired any information about her yet.
Interface: Do not worry, Dr. Shinzu. You did good for today. For that, I will request to the Site Director to promote you and assign you to SCP-8494 to conduct any reasonable experiments. Also, the 2 guards will also have a pay rise.
Dr. Shinzu: What in the fu— (Looks back at SCP-8494). H-Hey? D-Did you do this?
SCP-8494: (Whispers) You're welcome! (Winks).
[END LOG]
Interviewer's Note: It seems like SCP-8494 is capable of hiding her identity to us. Technically, to everything, even through the cams and recorders. I tried to decode and identify anything in the video to ensure how she had done that. Also, the promotion thing that the Site Director gave to me was very surprising for me since I just recently moved to this Site.
I tried to ask to them why did they promoted me and they said that I have potential to excavate SCP-8494's information. This is just the first interview with her and it seems so mysterious to me. Yet, not even those 2 guards doubted that they just had a pay rise. Maybe…this is also part of her ability??
Addendum 8494-B: Observation Log
On July 19, 20██ upon observing SCP-8494 through recorded surveillance cameras, a female D-Class, [DATA CORRUPT], was introduced into the containment chamber to give her supplies and to talk to the subject as it means not to bore out SCP-8494. After having a 15 minute social interaction with each other, the female D-class was retrieved back [DATA CORRUPT]. Researchers were surprised upon by the immediate arrival of Dr. Shinzu to the office asking them about the video and a miracle that happened to the female D-class. No one knew what Dr. Shinzu was saying.
Dr. Shinzu's Note: I came to the office today because someone told me to come and inspect SCP-8494's surveillance video about the miracle that happened to a terminally ill female D-Class. Upon arriving at the exact moment, they told me that nobody asked me to come to the office and that no miracle happened after D-class 5442 was retrieved back. I looked for the video logs and archives that recorded for today's surveillance but unfortunately, there's no video nor audio logs were recorded but only the digitally typed data. In my surprise, the data was corrupted, leaving only some few summary of what happened then the rest is mumbo jumbo texts. I came asking what happened to the file corruption but sadly, they told me someone spilled a coffee on a computer, causing it to be corrupted but no one knew whose coffee was it.
Addendum 8494-C: Second recorded interview with SCP-8494 upon immediate request by Dr. █████ and the Site Director.
Interviewer: Dr. Will Shinzu, Site ██-█-█.
Interviewee: SCP-8494
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Shinzu: Good Evening, SCP-8494. You look surprisingly good today.
SCP-8494: Hey! Welcome back, Doc Shinzu! I've missed you. Where have you been? It's been 2 weeks since we had a conversation. You know it's been boring in my room. Everything else is empty except that I have a bed, a couch and a TV.
Dr. Shinzu: Well, I'm sorry but I was too busy these last 2 weeks. Also, You should be grateful. Some other staffs, SCPs and D-Classes didn't had that kind of opportunity to watch TV including me.
SCP-8494: Aw! That's sad. Wanna watch with me?
Dr. Shinzu: Erm.. Sometime later, ok? We just need to have an another short interview with you first. Is that good with you?
SCP-8494: Okie-Dokie! As long as it's you (Starts to whisper) but can I tell you something? When I was roaming around the hallway yesterday, I saw this! (Shows Level 5 Clearance Key Card).
Dr. Shinzu: (Surprised) H-how did you get this?? And you were roaming around the hallway yesterday? I mean— How? Did they gave you a permission to do so?
SCP-8494: Weeeellll…..The gate was open when I woke up yesterday and no one was outside so I tried to wander around for a moment. Then, I suddenly found this out of nowhere.
Dr. Shinzu: (Looks at the surveillance camera then looks back at her) Did…Did you specifically did something to open the gates and get this key card? Didn't you..hurt someone?
SCP-8494: (Serious tone) Hey? Do I look like some kind of person who's gonna hurt someone? I'm just not too evil for that. And to be honest, the gate was really open when I woke up and this card just randomly popped out.
Dr. Shinzu: Ok, sure. I believe you. Since you don't look like some kind of person who's gonna hurt someone. Am I right? (Acquires key card from SCP-8494)
*SCP-8494:** (Cheerfully replies) Yes! Of course, I'm a good girl without bad habits.
Dr. Shinzu: (Chuckles) Now let's continue, did you notice anything when people are around you? Like, they get some kind of fortunate events? or something like, good things happen to those people around you?
SCP-8494: Well, that's kinda my (High pitch noise) you know? This has been around since I was born. A lots of people I knew tried to be close with me as possible. They received some sort of "Luck" from me because of my (High pitch noise). In short, I have lived for too long not to notice that kind of power in me….or curse.
Dr. Shinzu: Lived for too long? Ah, well I guess I won't be hearing that as well but why did you think that your power is a curse?
SCP-8494: Of course! I lost my own privacy and the rights to live. Even the ruler back in Edo Period and Qing Dynasty used me as a good luck fortune. Heck! Those days were hell but good thing because of my power, I didn't suffered as much as they did.
Dr. Shinzu: Woah…that's an..awfully a lot of years you have lived. (Write notes). If you had ever in those time period. It means you have been in China and Japan. What countries had you stepped in? What year?
SCP-8494: I believe I had witnessed a massacre in parts of Europe and Germany, the battle in Waterloo, the slave trading in Africa, the building of liberty city and pretty much everywhere. In short, I have lived for so long…so damn long.
Dr. Shinzu: And you think that this..curse of yours is the reason why you're living too long? or being an immortal?
SCP-8494: I don't think of it. I know it. This curse of mine gives me so much damn luck to live. I didn't even suffered a moment. All of the good things that happened to me and around me was this curse's work.
Dr. Shinzu: Shouldn't you be grateful for having that power? Because of that, you have helped the people around you and because of that, it gave you a long, good life/
SCP-8494: Oh, I thought you woulda have been so smarter than me, Doc. Do you think that being immortal is so nice? No, it's not. It's painful inside. As long as I live, I'll witness the people that I've loved die before me….and yes, I helped the other people around me…by fulfilling their greed. By giving them a fortune to kill other people. By giving them a fortune to destroy themselves. (Teared up)
Dr. Shinzu: (Stutters) I— I'm….deeply sorry, SCP-8494. I shouldn't had been…reckless to my questions. (Hugged SCP-8494)
SCP-8494: (Whispers) I'm no luck, Shinzu. I am an unfortunate human being….No, I'm not even a human.
Dr. Shinzu: D-Don't say that. I was very lucky to have you as my subject. I was lucky to have you. You're right. You have a name..8494 doesn't suit you. Today, I will call you Fortuna. The "Fortune Maiden."
SCP-8494: Y-You know my name??? Shinzu, you know my name! This is—
INTERFACE: Dr. Shinzu, this is the Site Director. I may now personally terminate this interview. That entity is far, more dangerous than we've expected. We may now have to relocate SCP-8494 to a far, secluded site. If relocation is not a viable option, termination of SCP-8494 will proceed. SCP-8494 will now be classified as dangerous Euclid Class entity. You may now end the session.
Dr. Shinzu: Don't worry, Fortuna. We will still meet, understood? For now, I want you to stay calm as possible and wait for me.
SCP-8494: (Smiles) I-I understood, Shinzu. Please do come back for me…
[END LOG]
Site Director's Note: After observing the ongoing interview between Dr. Shinzu and SCP-8494, I have the feeling that I have to promote Dr. Shinzu to Site-19. No, I must promote him. They're building a connection with each other and that will be more dangerous in the future if a personnel made a close connection with an entity. SCP-8494 is a dangerous entity. She is dangerous to us. IF she ever come close by to any of one of the Thaumiel, Euclid or Prollyon, god knows for sure we'll be death. I will now, as the Site Director, take over his task and terminate SCP-8494.
3 Days after the recent session with Dr. Shinzu to SCP-8494, Dr. Shinzu was given amnestics and were relocated to Site-19 to support other researchers. I also personally, made a conversation with SCP-8494 to not make any attempts to escape and thus, wait for Dr. Shinzu to come back before her relocation but in exchange, she wanted me to agree to her requests. I agreed without hesitation. Maybe, her anomalous effect had affected me too to make me agree with her decision. I don't know. I just had an urge to agree with her.
Of course, I lied to her about Dr. Shinzu coming back and that SCP-8494 will be relocated. Sorry, SCP-8494. You're harmful to humanity. You will cause wars…. I must terminate you.
