Photograph of SCP-XXXX after the incident
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Tall walls are to be erected around the perimeter of the residence and the site is to be locked at all times. Surveillance is to be put in the outside of the house and any movement is to be alerted to the site supervisor immediately. It is strictly forbidden to enter SCP-XXXX under any circumstances. Unless with the permission of a level 2 personnel. Anyone entering SCP-XXXX must be accompanied by at least three bodyguards armed with non-lethal weaponry unless under experiments.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a house in south Brazil known previously as the [Redacted] residence.
Upon entering the residence, its inhabitants will greet the subject in Portuguese and communicate that it is his/her day to do the dishes. It is noted that the residents also speak English, Italian, and German, and they will do so if the subject responds in any of these languages. If the subject does not greet back and comply, the residents will become upset and will start to argue.
After this point, if the subject remains in the house, the residents will proceed to attack the subject until incapacitation. Complying to do the dishes will instantly calm the residents.
If more than one subject enters the residence instances of SCP-XXXX will become instantly aggressive towards him/her and anyone who enters after the first subject.
The inhabitants are three males and two females, the original family, and three other victims of the house's effect: two males and one female (Revision: after incident-XXXX-1 and experiment-XXXX-1 one of the males and the female victims have been deceased. See addendum-XXXX-1 and 4). (Said effects will be explained further in the report).
SCP-XXXX instances are categorized as followed: SCP-XXXX-1-2, the parents of the [redacted] family. The oldest female and male, in the house, respectively. SCP-XXXX-3-4-5, the sons of instances 1 and 2, the oldest son, the daughter, and the youngest male respectively. And SCP-XXXX-6, a male, former courier, under SCP-XXXX effect.
When the subject is finishing the cleaning of the dishes, the residents will bring more from other rooms, never letting the subject finish the job. The washed dishes are taken by another resident and stored.
Trying to leave after starting cleaning the dishes will cause the residents to attack immediately. The residents are not abnormally strong, meaning that with strength and ability, one can escape. Remaining in the house for more than 48 hours will cause the subject to become an instance of SCP-XXXX causing it to lose free will and be integrated into the household.
Reports from neighbors informed that the [Redacted] family was kind and overall normal.
It is unclear what caused the house and its inhabitants to change. It is theorized that the event occurred on the 03/12/2018 since the family was never seen again after this date.
The inhabitants show visible distress and will stop talking if confronted about their situation.
SCP-XXXX instances appear to be unable to leave the house. Given SCP-XXXX self-containing nature, its class has been changed from Euclid to Safe.
Addendum XXXX-0 Discovery:
Local police began to receive denounces about disappearances in the neighborhood of [Redacted], Santa Catarina, Brazil. After some investigation, all victims were last seen or known to be going to the [Redacted] residence. The police sent one officer to investigate and interview the residents. He never reported back. The police then received judicial permission to invade the residence. Local SCP foundation agents infiltrated in the local police warned the foundation about this possible anomaly. The foundation took action and administered amnestics to the officers responsible for the operation, and proceed to investigate further. The first encounter of SCP-XXXX with the Foundation resulted in the Incident-XXXX-1 (See addendum XXXX-1) and confirmed that the [Redacted] residence has anomalous properties.
Addendum XXXX-1 Incident XXXX-1:
The following report was filled by Agent Philips. This is the report of the first encounter of SCP-XXXX with foundation personnel.
Agent Philips and agent ████, with the supervision of Dr ████ were dispatched to investigate the putative anomalous object.
Agent Philips entered the house first. Dr ████ remained outside with agent ████. Upon entry, SCP-XXXX-1, the oldest male, greeted agent Philips by name and proceeded to ask him to clean the dishes. Agent Philips instead asked who they are and if they knew anything about the missing civilians. SCP-XXXX-1 started to get upset and yelled, now in a commanding voice, for him to clean the dishes. Agent ████ entered the house. All residents began to yell at him, demanding him to leave, saying that this was not his house. He refused. Residents proceeded to attack both agents. Agent ████ pulled his handgun and shooted two residents. The youngest male one of the SCP-XXXX victims. Dr ████ who remained outside ordered them to leave the house immediately and not to shoot anyone. Agent Philips and agent ████ retreated from the house. The residents did not follow them outside, stopping at the door and returning inside.
Agent ████ was reprimanded for his reckless action.
After incident XXXX-1 it is theorized that the family that was part of the original anomaly is somehow permanent, and appears to "reset" itself upon the next day, given that the youngest male was seen alive on the next day, but its victims are not.
Addendum XXXX-2: Interview with SCP-XXXX-1
Interview XXXX-0
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-2.
Interviewer: Subject D-1783 with Dr. Silverleaf on the radio
Foreword: Subject D-1783 was instructed to enter the house and comply with any requests made by its inhabitants and strike a casual conversation with any of the residents. He was receiving instructions. D-1783 started cleaning the dishes and after a few minutes started a conversation with SCP-XXXX-2 who was sat down on the kitchen table reading a local newspaper.
<Begin Log, 05/10/2018>
D-1783: Hello sir! (Waving his hand to SCP-XXXX-2), how are you doing today?
SCP-XXXX-2: (Looks over newspaper) Oh, morning. I am just fine thank you. You are the one responsible for the dishes today?
D-1783: Oh, yes. I was requested to clean the dishes by the others.
SCP-XXXX-2: I see, good luck there…
Dr. S. via radio: Please ask him about the date on the newspaper, they shouldn't have received anything.
D-1783: What are you reading there? Any good news?
SCP-XXXX-2: It is the "Gazeta Catarinense", we used to get them weekly, but they stopped delivering for some reason. Now I am stuck reading this edition from the second week of March.
D-1783: And you have been re-reading this long?
SCP-XXXX-2: (Begins to sweat at an increased rate) Well… Yes… you see we… ca-cannot, i-it is what I have to read.
Dr. S. via radio: Please ask him why he doesn't leave the house to get something new to read.
D-1783: Why don't you go get something new to read? There is a bookstore just down the road.
SCP-XXXX-2: Why… (Wipes sweat from his forehead) you see… this edition is just fine for me, and I don't have time to get anything new…D-1783: But would you like to read something else? I could go get something for you.
SCP-XXXX-2: Well yes it would be enjoyable. But you must finish the dishes first.
Dr. S. via radio: Ask him if he is aware that he has not left the house for more than seven months.
D-1783: Sir, are you aware that you and your family have not left this house for more than seven months?
SCP-XXXX-2: (Show visible distress) What are you talking about? We, we have left this house. I-I, we, need… to… (Stays silent for 23 seconds)[Whispers in portuguese] Leave, you have to leave while you still can.
Dr. S. via radio: Inform him that we are here to help, ask him what is going on.
D-1783: (Stops cleaning the dishes and turns to SCP-XXXX-2) Sir, listen, we are here to help you, can you please tell us what is going on?
SCP-XXXX-2: Yo-You… should get back on the dishes right now.
(SCP-XXXX-1 and 3 enter the kitchen and approach D-1783)
D-1783: Sir, what is going on?Dr. S. via radio: D-1783 I have not given you permission to leave the dishes, get back to them immediately!
SCP-XXXX-2: I'm sorry, I am really sorry. (SCP-XXXX-2: jumps onto D-1783 and starts to attack him alongside SCP-XXXX-1 and 3)
Dr. S. via radio: D-1783? D-1783?! Oh for god's sake! Squadron Delta get in there now!
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Delta team successfully retrieved D-1783 who was unconscious but not severely injured. SCP instances were dealt with the use of tranquilizing darts. It appears that after D-1783 was put unconscious he was left alone on the floor by SCP-XXXX instances.
Addendum XXXX-3: Interview with SCP-XXXX-4
Interview XXXX-1
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-4.
Interviewer: Subject D-3212 with Dr. Silverleaf on the radio.
Foreword: Subject D-3212 was instructed to enter the house and comply with any requests made by its inhabitants and strike a conversation with any of the residents. He was receiving instructions from Dr. S via radio. After he started cleaning the dishes he commenced to talk with SCP-XXXX-4 the youngest female who was nearby.
<Begin Log, 06/10/2018>
D-3212: Err… Hi there! How are you today?
SCP-XXXX-4: Oh Hi Albert! How nice of you to ask! I am having a wonderful day. It's a relief not being on dishes duty! I hope you finish yours soon.
D-3212: Wait, how do you know my name? I just entered this house!SCP-XXXX-4: Don't be silly Albert! You live here with us! How could I not know your name?
Dr. S. via radio: Please don't dwell in this matter at this time. Ask her name, please.
D-3212: What the fu… I mean, so… What was your name again?
SCP-XXXX-4: What is this about Albert? Is this a joke? How could you forget my name?
D-3212: I am so sorry, but you know how bad with names I am.
SCP-XXXX-4: It is Melissa, you dummy!
Dr. S. via radio: Please invite her out of the house.
D-3212: So, Melissa, what about we talk outside, I would like some fresh air.
SCP-XXXX-4 What? Now? No! You have not finished the dishes yet! We can go after you finish them.
D-3212: But it is just a quick break! Five minutes max!
SCP-XXXX-4: No! You have to finish the dishes first!
D-3212: Then could you help me, please? So we can go sooner?
SCP-XXXX-4: I… Why…
SCP-XXXX-4:(Looks straight into the sink) [Whispering] I am sorry… you can't be helped…
<End Log>
Closing Statement: It is curious how the residents knew D-3212's name. It is unclear how they know it. Also, SCP-XXXX-4 last statement intrigues me, is she aware of the house's effect? Maybe we can ask about more things tomorrow. Dr. Silverleaf
Addendum XXXX-4 Experiment XXXX-1:
This report was filled by Doctor Silverleaf.
The removal of one of the missing civilians from the house was ordered by Dr. Silverleaf.
Four D-class personnel were ordered to enter the house and retrieve the former miss ████, one of the first victims from the house's phenomena.
Upon entry of the house, similarly, with incident-XXXX-1, the residents became immediately aggressive with the other three D-class who entered after the first D-class. The four D-class subdued the attackers and proceeded to miss ████ to retrieve her. She immediately began to call for help from the other residents and tried to free herself from the D-Class personnel. When the group reached the front door miss ████ became extremely agitated and after they passed it she collapsed. On-site examination revealed that her vitals were gone. Upon further medical examination, no organs suffered any damage but appeared to simply cease to function.
Removal of any other inhabitant was prohibited by Dr. Silverleaf.
Addendum XXXX-5 Experiment XXXX-2:
Attempt on installing interior surveillance.
Anesthesia gas was pumped onto SCP-XXXX. All instances of SCP-XXXX were successfully neutralized. Agent Garret entered the house and proceeded to install small cameras on the house's rooms. After installing cameras in the kitchen and living room, agent Garret went upstairs for further installation. Upon arriving on the second floor he passed out. Agent Philips was sent to rescue agent Garret. Reports from both agent Philips and agent Garret describe a strong headache and urge to sleep upon arriving on the second floor. Upper floors surveillance was canceled. Agents retrieved.
Video feed from the first floor worked for 4 hours and showed the residents waking up and proceeding to act normally apart from the fact that no resident went to the sink nor talked to each other. From time to time two instances would stop and stare at each other for short periods. Afterward, a strong interference on the video signal rendered the feed unwatchable.
Note from Dr. Silverleaf
It is of utmost importance that we understand the phenomena that both agents Philips and Garret have been affected before we send any other personnel to explore the entire house. Could the interference with the feed and said effects be connected? We would need to get access to the upper floors but mental "shielding" would be required. I am filling a report for possible cognitohazardous SCP.
