Special Containment Procedures: Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9239 is to be contained in a Standard Secure Humanoid Containment Cell, with immediate access to a variety of entertainment including various books, writings, and documentaries. Before moving SCP-9239 to any location, SCP 9239 must be given a mild sedative and is to be accompanied by two armed personnel throughout the transport.
Description: SCP-9239 is a humanoid entity with a height of 1.78 metres and a weight of 76kg. SCP-9239 has the appearance of a well-dressed man of caucasian race, equipped with a thick leather journal and a standard European umbrella. SCP-9239 is kind with children and appears to be a sort of caretaker to younger subjects, offering them crayons and sweets marked with a heart. Analysis of these objects show that they are no different from their regular counterparts, with the only minor difference being that the logos on them have been replaced with the Foundation logo.
D-Class Personnel with charges of child abuse or similar charges are not to be within a 30 metre radius of SCP-9239 unless in testing. When a D-Class Personnel of these specifications enters the presence of SCP-9239, they will begin to experience immense pain after a few seconds, even if there is no interaction with SCP-9239. Experiments have shown that SCP-9239 is able to produce pain through memories of it, with one such example resulting in the D-Class being stuck to the position of a crucifixion, despite nothing restraining him. This has lead to speculation that SCP-9239 was at the crucifixion of Jesus, though SCP-9239 has refused to divulge any information regarding it. All subjects that experience the pain will die after a period of time depending on the severity of the crime. If the crime was horrendous, SCP-9239 may choose to keep the subject alive for up to 48 hours before finally letting the subject die.
When subjects under the age of 18 are within 30 metres of SCP-9239, they are put in a sort of protective bubble and are invulnerable to all forms of physical, mental, and psychological abuse. If subjects aren't within the range of SCP-9239 protective sphere but are seen by SCP-9239 and about to be harmed, SCP-9239 will rush to the location in exactly 5 seconds, regardless of the distance between them.
SCP-9239 is generally cooperative with Foundation Personnel and can communicate in most languages including (but not limited to) English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, and more. SCP-9239 is extremely valuable to the Foundation as it seems to have an immense knowledge about other SCP'S, despite having no previous experience with the Foundation before. It writes down vital information about other SCP's, even if it has never interacted with them before in its leathered journal which it values greatly, and while it does allow Foundation Personnel to occasionally take it, the diary must be returned within an hour or SCP-9239 will enter an aggressive state. SCP-9239 also has the unique ability to distort or darken images taken of it or other SCP's. This is considered to be self preservation mechanism and is likely what has allowed SCP-9239 to exist in the world without alerting Foundation personnel for so long.
As of now, SCP-9239 has 3 known states of being. Its idle state is usually when it is contained or working on its journal. Its aggressive state is when it is either provoked, given a caffeinated drink or has been separated from its journal for more than an hour. During this state, SCP-9239 will seek to kill all humanoid entities over the age of 18, usually by stabbing the subject in the heart with its umbrella. 100% of all attacks by SCP-9239 have resulted in death, despite advanced treatment to those injured. This has led to speculation that SCP-9239's umbrella may be coated in a fatal poison, but it has yet to be proven. During the aggressive state SCP-9239 can be sedated by either giving the journal back or by giving a mild sedative.
Its third state turns SCP-9239 into a Keter class SCP, as it will be incapable of being reasoned with and must be terminated. During the Keter state, SCP-9239 is capable of causing a mass containment breach, freeing all Keter and Euclid SCP's. During this state, SCP-9239 gains superhuman strength, being able to tear through a solid 10cm steel door with only its hands and is able to take multiple bullets and wounds that would otherwise be fatal. In this state however, he still will not harm anyone under the age of 18, instead either hiding them away or putting them in a state of stasis where they cannot be harmed. Once terminated, SCP-9239's remains will decay at a rapid rate, leaving behind dust and a wristwatch belonging to SCP-9239. It will then reform in the nearest area out of view and will return to its idle state. All items belonging to SCP-9239 will also appear in its hands after termination even if they are in another area when he is terminated. The diary he carries will self clear, wiping every page clear of what it contained which has proven to be devastating, especially when he is killed during a containment breach.
Addendum 9239.1: Discovery
SCP-9239 was discovered in the village of [REDACTED] in 20**. He was found in the ruins of an old daycare covered in what appeared to be blood with a body nearby. After a 3 hour standoff with police, SCP-9239 was terminated by a squad of SWAT officers. SCP-9239 reformed behind a hidden wall, at which point the Foundation was involved. During transport, SCP-9239 interacted with the Foundation personnel, asking how they were feeling and building a general atmosphere of comfort. Upon arrival, SCP-9239 was interviewed by Doctor Calligan.

SCP-9239: Hello Doctor. I assume you're here to ask about the incident at [REDACTED]?

SCP-9239: I have an ability to reconstruct myself after death in an area out of view. I killed the man because he had a history of child abuse and he was on the way to visit the daycare on [REDACTED] Street.
Dr. Calligan: Wow. Is there anything else we should know?
SCP-9239: Yes, SCP-682 is about to cause a containment breach at Site [REDACTED] in an hour. SCP-[REDACTED] will help contain SCP-682 if used correctly.
Dr. Calligan: How the hell did you know that?
SCP-9239: I'm not sure, but I can tell you more if you wish tomorrow. For now though, I wish to rest.
Dr. Calligan: But-
SCP-9239: I'm sorry Doctor Calligan, but I am immensely tired. We will talk tomorrow.

Addendum 9239.2: [REDACTED] /7/1990 Incident
After about a month in containment, SCP-9239 detected the presence of a D-Class Personnel passing by with a charge of child abuse. Upon stepping into SCP-9239's view, the D-Class Personnel collapsed on the ground, twitching in a similar fashion to someone being electrocuted. Personnel that attempted to break the line of sight also experienced the torture. After about 5 minutes of full exposure, the D-Class Personnel broke free of the stasis and immediately self terminated, grabbing a gun from a nearby personnel corpse. After the death of the D-Class, the others affected by the shock died near instantly. This led to another interview with SCP-9239:

Dr. Calligan: Explain yourself, SCP-92-
SCP-9239: He had a deep history of [REDACTED], often killing the children after using them for his own purposes. A man like that doesn’t deserve to stay on this earth.
Dr. Calligan: But multiple other D-Class personnel have passed by, some of them were murders, drug users, and-
SCP-9239: I dislike them, yes, and I have given them a taste of the pain they’ve caused, but a child is unique. They deserve a bright future, and someone who wants to take that away from them is someone that doesn’t deserve the privilege of life.
Dr. Calligan: So-
SCP-9239: There is no more to be said. I apologise for the death of the guards as they were killed by accident. I recommend you bring their bodies to SCP-[REDACTED] to give them a new life.
Dr. Calligan: Thank you for your time.

Document 9239.a: 23/7/[REDACTED] Tests
Test Log 9239-A
D-Class Personnel 9239-1 with a history of murder was instructed to enter SCP-9239's containment cell. SCP-9239 gave a glare at the subject and made small talk before becoming uninterested.
Test Log 9239-B
Test Subject 9239-2 of 8 years of age was instructed to greet SCP-9239. SCP-9239 was incredibly friendly, conjuring multiple crayons and toys for the child. SCP-9239 remarked that the test was enjoyable and that he hoped to see the child again.
Test Log 9239-C
D-Class Personnel 9239-1 and Test Subject 9239-2 were told to enter the room. 9239-1 was instructed to kill 9239-2 with a knife. Upon realisation, SCP-9239 kicked 9239-1 across the room and put 9239-2 into stasis. SCP-9239 proceeded to enter the aggressive state and began interrogating 9239-1. Upon realisation that this was a test, SCP-9239 looked through the one-sided window and began to stare intently, moving his right hand slightly down. After a few seconds, all research personnel began choking on seemingly nothing before dying of asphyxiation. SCP-9239 then hid the body of 9239-1 behind a bookshelf and continued helping 9239-2 draw a fire truck.

SCP-049 was put into SCP-9239's cell in order to see how SCP-9239 would respond to the killings.

SCP-049: Ah, I see that you are familiar with my work!
SCP-9239: Yes, it does intrigue me how you do such experiments.
SCP-049: (Chuckling) Yes yes, they are impressive aren't they? The Pestilence is removed from each one of them!
SCP-9239: Yes, and though it is not perfect, I respect your work. May I show you some of mine?

SCP-9239 was questioned why he didn't respond aggressively to SCP-049's attempts to cure the pestilence and the deaths that came as a result of it. SCP-9239 responded, "He tries his best to do what he can to help, and though he can't do much and though he has taken life, he has no malicious intent in him. Perhaps later he will refine his method, but though I am devastated by the deaths he has caused, I cannot blame him."
Document 9239.b:
As previously mentioned, the journal that SCP-9239 carries around contains various pieces of information, and while personnel were unable to record every piece given, they were able to record a few, ranging from interesting facts to containment breach advice.
- SCP-682 is of the [REDACTED] race found on the planet [REDACTED]
- SCP-3000 can be exploited easily for its dark grey substance by using SCP-[REDACTED] as the feeding subject.
- When SCP-173 escapes containment, asking SCP-294 for ‘Eternal Energy’ will allow temporary blinking removal.
- SCP-420J is currently at [REDACTED] and has been auctioned off for about [REDACTED] million.

- Though SCP-[REDACTED] is dangerous, using sulphuric acid or even military grade explosives is more than enough to remove its tentacles during a breach.

- SCP-096 is likely to escape containment within a month. Using SCP-049 as a mediator will likely increase the time before it escapes.
- SCP-[REDACTED], though sadistic and cruel, is quite intelligent and curious, often asking personnel it considers likeable to play a round of chess before killing them.
- SCP-1689’s potatoes are somewhat sentient as they are aware that they are a potato.
- SCP-3008’s humanoid entities just want a friend, and when asked will help locate the exit.
- SCP-[REDACTED] prefers honour through combat but can be neutralised if challenged to a game of mental skill such as chess and is defeated.
- SCP-230 has remarkable skill in badminton, going undefeated against Foundation personnel.

Addendum 9239.3: 5/10/[REDACTED] Incident
On the 5/10/[REDACTED], SCP-9239 was denied access to his journal for 4.5 hours. As Foundation personnel went to SCP-9239's cell to check in, SCP-9239 penetrated the door with his umbrella, impaling Dr. Calligan and his guard. After dropping to the floor, SCP-9239 knocked the door our of its hinges and began freeing numerous SCP's, including SCP-049 and SCP-939 causing a mass containment breach. Site [REDACTED] was forced to activate its onsite warhead, resulting in multiple deaths of both Foundation personnel and SCP's.
After the warhead detonated, SCP-9239 was quickly contained and placed back into Foundation custody. SCP-9239 had no recollection of the events and simply insisted that "It must've been a dream". When asked to see his journal, all pages that previously had vital information were wiped, causing much distress to SCP-9239.
