Special Containment Procedures: Scp - 5000 is to be kept in a metal box at site 19. Scp - 5000 shall not be used against any animal/human being at any times. Personnel level 2 or higher may only use Scp - 5000 at any non sentient objects such as rocks, wood or other materials.
Description: Scp - 5000 appears to be a old 1970's camera weighing about 1 kilogram. Anything that gets captured in a photo by Scp- 5000 will cease existing in our reality. Where the objects captured by Scp- 5000 go is unknown and further testings will be held. Scp - 5000 was found in a old farm house in [REDACTED] in the year [REDACTED]. It was found by a investigator and his friend, Apparently he had taken a photo off his friend with Scp- 5000 and he disappeared afterwards. the authorities were called to investigate and the SCP foundation arrived shortly afterwards and retrieved the item. It was originally classified as a Euclid object but after testing and learning that the object did not cause any harm if left alone, the object has since been classified as a safe item.
Prior to incident 5000-2, Voices had been heard from the containment area, presumed to come from Scp- 5000, The voices kept coming for another 20 minutes until no more voices were heard.
Incident 5000-2:
On the 14th mars, 2018. Scp - 5000 was given to a Class D inside the cell of SCP - 682. The Class D was ordered to snap a photo of SCP - 682 and complied. SCP - 682 was not affected by Scp- 5000. When attempting to return the class d to its cell, He snapped a photo off SCP- 682’s Containment cell which caused a temporary containment breach.

Dr.Stark How? The doors had been locked and SCP 682 had been calm since we left
Mtf Captain: Apparently our class d had snapped a photo of the doors to the containment cells, Which gave SCP- 682 a chance to escape. We are getting this thing contained again. Over and out

SCP 682 managed to get to the entrance zone but was halted by NTF guards and with them SCP- 999. SCP - 682 was recontained with minimal casualties.
After termination of the class d responsible for the breach. Class D’s no longer allowed to use Scp 5000. Custom drones and robots are now able to hold Scp-5000 making Class d’s unnecessary. Article by Dr.Stark, Level 3 senior researcher.
