Special Containment Procedures:
Any active SCP-XXXX-1 instances, also known as SCP-XXXX-2, are to be held within a hermetically sealed container. With the intent of preserving SCP-XXXX-2 for as long as it may prove useful in testing. SCP-XXXX-2 shall not be removed from containment without permission of the lead researcher on SCP-XXXX testing operations. In the event of a containment breach, unarmed personnel are asked to lie down, restricting all locomotion down to crawling, or seek out an opaque black trash bag as a means of self defense.

Description:
SCP-XXXX-1 is a non-anomalous wooden crate containing 99 instances of SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 resemble the yellow peeled skin of a Musta acuminata. SCP-XXXX-2 has been shown to be capable of distinguishing the sound of bipedal locomotion, and is drawn to these sounds. Upon making contact with its prey, SCP-XXXX-2 will attempt to immobilize its target via a loss of traction beneathe any of limbs integral to maintaining said bipedal locomotion. Therefore, its effect is rendered null against individuals who are neither walking, nor standing. Thus far, somersaulting, crawling, and logrolling are the only currently known means of slipping by SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 will avoid movement when actively observed by human entities to the point when they are no longer observed to be non-anomalous banana peels. At this point, SCP-XXXX-2 will attempt to evade containment until grabbed by human hands. When not witnessed, wet slapping noises can be heard coming from its vicinity.

Addendum: Test Log 1

Testers: Dr Strass and Dr Franklin:
Test Subject: Dr Barnes

Dr Strass and Dr Franklin approach the onsite break room but stay out of view of the doorway.

As per his daily routine, Dr Barnes was inside, prepping to microwave his famous “fish salad”.

Dr Strass then brandishes a pocket knife and, with Dr Franklin holding a rustling opaque trash bag, slices a long gash in the side of the bag.

While both doctors look away from the bag, SCP-XXXX-2 leaps out, hitting the doorframe, and waits for Dr Barnes to ignore someone’s left over food on the floor.

Upon breaking eye contact with SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX-2 attempts to place itself underneath Dr Barnes’s left foot.

A loud crash and a cry can be heard from within

MTF Lambda-9 (“Trapper-Keepers”) were dispatched to Site-99’s kitchen to find what was believed to be an anomalous small mammal, as it had been terrorising the kitchen from within a sealed plastic bag for several hours, recycling what would’ve been its own CO2.

Upon arriving at the kitchen, one MTF member spots an untied trash bag headed for the walk-in freezer.

Concerned for the safety of on-site rations, the MTF immediately reopen the freezer to a whirling of steam from the cold of the freezer mixing with the warmth of the kitchen

One by one, the MTF members are tripped or slipped on something hidden underneath the carpet of steam.

Lunchtime arrives, as do many scientists walking into the cafeteria.

More footsteps become audible.

SCP-XXXX leaps from the counter to escape the kitchen, and manages to trip several confused scientists.

After 5 minutes, SCP-XXXX-2 was disoriented temporarily by a few scientists who attempted to stomp in unison while circled around SCP-XXXX-2.

After another 5 minutes pass, MTF Lambda-9 recovers, approaches the circle while crawling, and attempts to contain the SCP-XXXX-2 in a trash bag.

MTF Lambda-9 successfully restrains SCP-XXXX-2 within a plastic bag until a more rigid container can be made available.

A crate begins shaking in the now thawing walk-in freezer, and then falls over, providing a clearer view of the label on its side as it cracks open and its contents rush forth: “Dr. Wondertainment’s Nutritional Nomadic ‘Nanas”

Addendum: After-Action Report

The resulting cleanup of 99 SCP-XXXX-1 instances led to the establishment of a drycleaning facility in Site-99 and the option for casual wear in the event of another B-Class ‘Nana scenario. MTF-Lambda 9 were allowed further janitorial privileges, after spending the following 7 hours crawling along the floor to catch the remaining 68 SCP-XXXX-1 instances that had not been trampled, eaten, or disappeared by indeterminable staff members.
