[[Good Eye Draft 1]]
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in any standard contact cleaning solution. The SCP is to be gently cleaned and the solution changed out after ever use or every three days whichever is shorter. Failure to properly clean and sanitize SCP could result in degradation of the item. Access to SCP-XXXX for any reason must be cleared by a person of at least level 2 clearance.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a set of standard hard contact lenses’ measuring approximately 14.0mm in diameter. SCP-XXXX is house in a standard contact lens case composed of a plastic polymer measuring 10x10x4cm and weighing approximately 0.08kg hence forth referred to as SCP-XXXX-A. (May also add in the initials MCD are on the case. Have not decided yet though.) If SCP-XXXX has previously been properly stored in SCP-XXXX-A prior to use the anomalous effect will manifest.
When any individual initially inserts SCP-XXXX into their eyes they function like any standard non-prescription set of lenses’. However, should the individual express that they are searching for something whether it be an intimate object or otherwise the items anomalous properties will manifest. While in their field of view any object or individual that has the potential to fill their need will glow with a brightly colored aura. The color of said aura varies depending on the quality of said object or individual. Testing has revealed that the color code is not standard and varies depending on the individual using the lenses. Also, of note it has been determined that the lenses color code is based on purely objective fact, the personnel preference of the current user is not considered. (See experiment logs below.)
It also has been determined that prolonged use SCP-XXXX has increasingly negative effects. After 2 hours of continuous use the subject will begin to experience increasing levels of discomfort and pain in the eyes. After 4 hours in addition to the pain numerous sties will begin to form, on average 1 or 2 every 20 minutes. After 6 hours the subject will note a marked decrease in vision as well as begin to develop corneal neovascularization. At hour 8 the subject will see a further decline in vision as corneal microcysts begin to form. 10 hours after initial use corneal ulcers will develop in both eyes, possibly causing blindness. Finally, after 12 hours of consecutive use the subject will be rendered permanently blind as the subject’s eye tissue appears rot away seemingly being consumed by an unknown parasite.
