Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a room at least 6x6 meters wide with one patch of synthetic grass for which is to be cleaned by a female D-class at least once every 12 hours. SCP-XXXX has no special diet but needs to bed fed 2-3 times a day. No male personnel are to enter the cell under any circumstances and male D-Class personnel are only to enter for testing purposes. One armed female officer is to be stationed at the door at all times. The window separating SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1 is not to be covered under any circumstances.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a male golden retriever appearing to be █ years old. It weighs 31.6 kg and stands at 54 cm tall. SCP-XXXX's behavior and anatomy is no different from a normal golden retriever apart from the collar which seems to be attached to SCP-XXXX's skin. The collar holds a tag medal that reads "Man's Best Friend!" until SCP-XXXX is touched my a human male. It's anomalous effects become apparent when any human male reach within 3 meters of SCP-XXXX. When the male, from here on referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, comes within the previously mentioned 3 meter range he feels compelled to pet SCP-XXXX despite having any allergies to pet dander or dislike for canines. When SCP-XXXX-1 touches SCP-XXXX, the words on the tag of the collar attached to it will change to SCP-3756-1's ████ and ███████. SCP-XXXX-1 loses all interest in anything he had enjoyed before, this includes any family, friends, activities, or dreams they once had. SCP-XXXX-1 becomes obsessed with nothing but SCP-XXXX's safety and health.

When someone else other than the current SCP-XXXX-1 tries to approach SCP-XXXX they will emit a low pitched growl and expose their teeth, which now resemble that of a canine. If the person continues to approach it, SCP-XXXX-1 will attack, and even kill if necessary. When SCP-XXXX-1 is separated from SCP-XXXX-1 it will violently resist until returned to SCP-XXXX or until it is terminated¹. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have proven to have heightened strength and speed and are capable of smashing through bulletproof glass up to 2.5 cm in thickness (See Addendum SCP-XXXX:1)

SCP-XXXX was initially discovered in a home at [Data Expunged] where several missing persons reports had been filed. When the home was investigated, The bodies of [Data Expunged] men were found covered in severe lacerations that weren't consistent with SCP-XXXX's claws. SCP-3756 was found in the basement with an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 which was identified as an officer of the local police force who had been sent to investigate the missing person reports. Upon contact Officer █████ opened fire on the personnel sent to retrieve the SCP and was immediately terminated. There is currently no way to break SCP-XXXX-1 from this state once they have touched SCP-XXXX, and SCP-XXXX itself does not seem to dislike being touched even if it already has an SCP-XXXX-1.

Addendum SCP-XXXX:1
During a routine cleaning of SCP-XXXX's containment cell, the D-class assigned to it ignored warnings to stay away from the window and blocked SCP-XXXX-1's view of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 became extremely aggressive as it was already agitated by the woman's presence. The D-class was killed via strangulation when SCP-XXXX effortlessly smashed his hand through the window. The SCP-XXXX-1 was terminated and testing to discover just how strong SCP-XXXX-1 is, is currently ongoing.

1. It is to be noted that the current SCP-XXXX-1 is kept in a cell directly beside SCP-XXXX's containment cell separated by a glass window. It gets anxious when personnel come in to clean SCP-XXXX's cell, or do not feed it as offten as it would like, but seems perfectly content with being within ████ of SCP-XXXX.
