SCP-OWL is a 16” tall statue of a *bubo virginianus* perching on top of a wooden post. SCP-OWL is constructed of hand-painted plastic, and can be mounted on a pole from beneath or attached to a vertical flat surface using standard weather-resistant construction screws.

SCP-OWL’s primary anomalous property is the rotation of its head at approximately 0.793267 radians per second in the direction of the nearest entity with direct line-of-sight to SCP-OWL. SCP-OWL can rotate its head horizontally and vertically to do so, and during rotation, a loud sound similar to stone grinding on stone can be heard. SCP-OWL
