Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained on Provisionary Site H14 located in the Sham Shui Po commercial district, Hong Kong. Surveillance of the building and elevator shaft containing SCP-XXXX is to be done via installed CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras set within the structure of SCP-XXXX's elevator shaft. 2.5m tall barbed wires is to be set up around the 300m perimeter of Provisionary Site H17 with security personnel stationed outside of the perimeter to prevent civilian access. Any civilian entering the perimeter of the site must be immediately asked to leave the area or be detained if not compliant. Any inquiries directed to the site must only be responded with the cover story E-XXXX.

Due to SCP-XXXX's mobile nature, SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 5m x 5m x 6m hermetically sealed cryogenic chamber set to -178°C. SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is currently located at Containment Site 14. The cooling systems in SCP-XXXX's chamber is not to be deactivated outside of approved interactions. SCP-XXXX is to also be monitored by biological scanners 24/7. In case of a SCP-XXXX relocation event, on site GWD (Gravitational Wave Detector) devices are to be activated in order to plot a 150km search radius. Once SCP-XXXX is located, Mobile Task Force Pi-1 ("City Slickers") is to be deployed to re-contain SCP-XXXX with cryogenic munitions¹ and brought back to Containment Site 14. To prevent SCP-XXXX from relocating, 1 foundation personnel must interact with SCP-XXXX for at least 40 minutes once per 2 weeks. All interactions must be supervised by at least 1 level 3 researcher and 2 guards equipped with cryogenic munitions. Interactions are to be logged and filed.

Description: SCP-XXXX was discovered on ██/██/2020 as a 2m x 3m x 2m Mitsubishi brand standard elevator, located in the Sham Shui Po commercial district, Hong Kong. While it's exterior and interior design are identical to normal Mitsubishi brand elevators made with the standard materials², SCP-XXXX has shown to be immune to physical damage and can operate without a power source. Upon further study, SCP-XXXX has shown additional anomalous properties, including:

• Communication using it’s display panel to produce English text, manipulation of the floor button lighting system and affecting electronic devices³ inside it to communicate. SCP-XXXX is able to respond to questions asked inside it. However, it is unknown how SCP-XXXX achieves this as the programming of the elevator only allows the function of normal elevator operations. See discovery interview log XXXX-1.

• Sentient behavior. SCP-XXXX has shown the ability of independent thought and posses █████-like intelligence. Additionally, SCP-XXXX has also passed the ██████ test. See interview log XXXX-1

• Manipulation of space and time. SCP-XXXX has shown the ability to instantly relocate itself to other elevator shafts,⁴. Furthermore, time spent inside of SCP-XXXX is found to be unproportionate relative to the outside of SCP-XXXX. It is uncertain if SCP-XXXX can perform other activities that involves the manipulation of space and time.⁵ See incident log XXXX-1 and experiment log XXXX-1.

As of recent research, biological scans on SCP-XXXX has returned positive results. The scans indicate that there is presence of organic matter measuring about ██cm by length and by width on the celling of SCP-XXXX, along with vein-like organic matter connecting the organic matter on the celling to the walls and floor. Infra-red scans indicate the organic matter on the celling is of the shape of a icosahedron. Additionally, the icosahedron was observed to ███████ with intervals of ██ ███████████ per minute. It is therefore believed that a biological organism resides in SCP-XXXX's structure and is possibly the source of sentience of SCP-XXXX. No further conformation of this theory was done due to it's immunity to physical damage, preventing closer analysis of the inner structure of SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-1: After incident XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX has been relocated to Containment Site 14 located in the ████ ████ district, Hong Kong on ██/██/2020. Necessary revisions have also been made to SCP-XXXX's containment procedures after further study.

Subject: Damn it, I'm such an idiot!

Greetings. As you might already know, I am Site Director James Asher. I've been recently assigned as the director of a relatively new foundation facility by the O5-Council - Containment Site 14.

Our main objective in here is to contain and study SCP-XXXX. We started by setting up Provisionary Site H17 to deal with SCP-XXXX, but so foolish I was to think that it was going to be easy from there. SCP-XXXX managed to escape Provisionary Site H14 using it's anomalous properties only 1 month after the site was set up, it just went poof. If only I had lead the research team better to study it's properties, this would not have happened. We nearly lost SCP-XXXX, if it were not for the quick thinking of one of our researchers, Dr. Christopher Lee to use sub-zero temperatures to contain SCP-XXXX, we wouldn't have been able to re-contain it. Let's just say the O5s were not impressed with my stupidity, especially with the fact that SCP-XXXX was the only SCP we needed to contain.

If SCP-XXXX had teleported to a crowded area, who knows what it could possibly do? That puts civilians we are trying to protect in danger.

By the time you read this, SCP-XXXX should be already safely transported to Containment Site 14. I have the researchers and containment specialists revising the containment procedures. It will not escape again. Not on my watch.

Foreword: This interview takes place shortly after the discovery of SCP-XXXX and the establishment of Provisionary Site H14 in order to ascertain more information about SCP-XXXX. Field Agent “Oddball” and Dr. Christopher Lee will respectively be referred to “O” and “C” in this log. This interview was conducted in Provisionary Site H14 interview room 1.

C: Good afternoon Agent ██████, I’m Dr. Christopher Lee, researcher for Containment Site 14.

O: Good afternoon, doc.

C: I assume you know why you’ve been called here, so I’ll get straight to the point. We want more information on SCP-XXXX. I’ll be recording this interview for logging purposes, will that be alright?

O: Sounds fine to me.

C: Alright, please start by stating your mission involving SCP-XXXX.

O: I was tasked to investigate several civilian reports intercepted by the Foundation, about a elevator in the ████ ████ building located in the Sham Shui Po district reportedly “talking” to people.

C: Wait, by yourself? I thought investigations are usually done with a team?

O: Yes, it was a solo-investigation mission. The higher ups were not convinced the reports were reporting an anomaly, so they sent me to assess the situation.

C: I see, please continue.

O: Uh, so I have brought some equipment with me during the mission. My normal field gear, signal interceptor units, a field laptop and a portable 500 volt Directional EMP device just in case. When I arrived at the building, I started by setting up the signal interceptors around the perimeter of the building.

C: What were the signal interceptors for?

O: Oh, um… To be honest, I didn’t really believe that I was dealing with an anomaly at first. I brought the signal interceptors so I could detect and prevent signals of any kind to reach the elevator. I assumed there was someone controlling the elevator by control signals for a prank or something. You know? To scare the locals.

C: Noted. After you set up the interceptors, what did you do?

O: I took the rest of my gear and went into the building to investigate. Locating the elevator in question was easy, since the reports specified the location.

O: I first look at the elevator, it just seems to be a normal elevator. So I pressed the button to call the elevator to me and stepped inside to investigate.

C: Was there any non-standard things you noticed in the design of the elevator?

O: None that I saw, it just looked like any other elevator.

C: Ok, please continue.

O: Once inside the elevator, I decided to go to the top floor. Everything was normal before the elevator door closed.

C: Please elaborate.

O: Well, you know the floor buttons on the side panel of the elevator usually lights up when you press them, right? After the door closed, I noticed that certain buttons were lighting up. I used my laptop to check the signal interceptors to see if any signals were being intercepted. There were none.

C: So you are saying that the elevator was doing that by itself?

O: From what I saw, yes. And that's not even the creepy part.

C: Go on.

O: The longer I looked at the buttons lighting up, the more I see a pattern developing in the lighting of the buttons. So aside from monitoring for signals, I recorded the numbers flashed to me in sequence.

C: And what were the numbers? Did you find out anything? Perhaps a code?

O: Yes I did. The numbers I got in sequence were "7, 18, 5, 5, 20, 9, 14, 7, 19" then followed by "█,█,█,██,██,██" after that, the elevator door opened and I got out.

C: Wait… this type of numbering is familiar to me, by any chance is the sequence you got using an Alphabet-Number Substitution cipher method?

O: Huh, you seem to know your ciphers, doc. Yes, when I typed the numbers in the Foundation CodeBreak software in my field laptop, it analyzed the code to be an Alphabet-Number Substitution. It said -

C: "Greetings ██████." That IS interesting….

O: Yes, it said that. You don't need to interrupt me though, doc.

C: You don't get to work for the Foundation by being slow.

O: Ain't that the truth, huh?

C: Anyways, is that all, Agent ██████?

O: Hm, there were no signals intercepted in the duration of the event. So, that should be all.

C: Very well, thank you for your time. I will log this immedia-

(Agent ██████ speaks, cutting off Dr. Lee)

O: Actually, doc, there might be something else I remember.

C: Ah, what do you have to add?

O: I might be wrong about this, but once I exited the elevator, I noticed that I was in there for around 15 minuets. That shouldn't be possible as the building only had 40 floors, judging by the speed the elevator was going it should have only taken around a maximum of 2 minuets from the ground floor to the top. I am sure that I was ascending the whole time I was in there.

C: Interesting… Anything else, agent?

O: No. I think that's all.

C: Very well, you may leave. Good day to you.

O: To you as well, doc.

Closing Statement: This discovery is most enlightening, SCP-XXXX seems to exhibit the ability to communicate and the ability to distort time to some extent. I will look into these findings with my colleges further. As of now, I request that SCP-XXXX to be classified "SAFE" for now.
