Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6009 will be put inside a small glass tube no less than 5cm thick. This tube will then be placed inside of a metal box with 10cm thick walls. This box is then placed inside a large room with movement detectors. If any movement is seen inside the containment room the room will be torched will flames from the walls to make SCP-6009 retreat back to its containment box.
Description:In appearance SCP-6009 resembles a small blob of black sludge with small glints of metal inside. The sludge was discovered oozing from a sewerage system and poses a large threat if not contained properly. SCP-6009 has the ability to create mass from its own body to expand and its “skin” is able to burn human skin up to 4th degree. If prolonged contact with SCP-6009 is made it has the possibility to burn through the entire body.
Additional Notes: SCP-6009 can be used to burn through thick pieces of matter but it highly unadvised as its want to absorb sunlight will cause it to misbehave and refuse to enter back into its containment box. It even has shown signs of haste towards Dr Thomas Ridge the most for unknown reasons.
Appendix A: While SCP-6009 is effective in burning through most matter it will not or cannot burn through metals like gold and silver. It is theorised that the high amount of condensed matter in the metals are too much for SCP-6009 to handle though it has been seen to be able to burn through composite metals that contain these metals. Further study is needed.
Testing Procedure: Testing on SCP-6009 is highly dangerous if not handled with care. Two D-Class personnel will enter SCP-6009’s containment chamber with multiple forms of matter. Then SCP 6009’s containment box will be opened and instructed to burn through the items on the table. If it is needed the room will be torched with the D-Class inside if SCP-6009 shows haste towards them.
Dr Thomas Ridge's Note: SCP-6009 is showing good progression with the items we give to it each day. Though it still shows no signs of being able to burn through the gold and silvers we have been raising the levels of each of them in the composite materials we give to it. The maximum levels we can find are 50% gold and silver and 50% steel. We have raised the levels but SCP-6009 either refuses to touch the composites or touches them with hesitation and writhes in pain afterwards. No side effects have been shown so far in my studies. Further study is needed towards containing SCP 6009.
