REVISION 03/01/2151: By order of the Overseer Council, SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-A have been granted Thaumiel classification at the request of the SCP Medical Department. Containment Procedures are to be updated effective immediately and is to be revered at a later date. Documentation related to SCP-XXXX is to be declassified to the public in compliance with the Berlin Accords at a later date.
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a containment chamber along with the anomalous bacterium the object produces, hereafter designated SCP-XXXX-A, in the South-West Wing of Site 104's Anomalous Infectious Disease Unit. The temperature of the containment chamber is to be regulated at zero degrees Celsius at all times. Bacterial culture farms of SCP-XXXX-A are to only be kept within the designated containment chamber. All viable samples must be sent to Administration upon completion. No testing is to be conducted at this time. Site 104 Command is responsible to monitor for exploitation.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a brown and porous meteorite of irregular shape and size, weighing one-point nine kilograms. The object was discovered in 1984, entombed within ice in Antarctica by the Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANSMET). As per protocol, all meteorites found by ANSMET are evaluated by the Foundation, and, in the event any meteorites are found to be anomalous in nature, are seized and a non-anomalous replica is returned instead. Object seized with relative ease. It is believed that the freezing temperatures of the former continent prevented SCP-XXXX from functioning as intended.
The surface of SCP-XXXX is capable of SCP-XXXX-A production when in the vicinity of sunlight, water, and sufficient mineral deposits. These bacteria are airborne and can resist the elements for a period of time. SCP-XXXX-A generates no immune response from any life form, and antibiotics are ineffective at neutralization. The bacterium has no incubation period, and its effects are immediate once present in the bloodstream. SCP-XXXX-A propagates through the air to any terrestrial life in its proximity, which also allows it to spread. The composition of this bacterium appears to be an organic outer shell the size of a micrometer, with a smaller internal metal apparatus built at a molecular scale.

If the anomalous bacterium is left in a sterilized environment with proper materials, SCP-XXXX-A will produce cultures of itself and will, eventually, begin to develop microscopic samples of single-celled organisms at an incredibly slow pace. Due to this rate of development, multicellular life has yet to be produced in a sterile lab. This discovery suggests that the very emergence of terrestrial life was caused after its arrival somewhere between 3.5-3.8 billion years, coinciding with the formation of the Earth's oceans. Whether its arrival was accidental or intentional is unknown. It is unknown why SCP-XXXX-A is no longer detectable within terrestrial life.
The exact nature of how SCP-XXXX-A operates is largely unknown, but it has been observed to often interact with the organelles of the human body. SCP-XXXX-A has the ability to modify the genetic makeup of all terrestrial life and immediately begins the repair of internal or external wounds when in the bloodstream via ingestion or proximity to SCP-XXXX. In addition, SCP-XXXX-A has the ability to neutralize all terrestrial diseases, both normal and anomalous. Diseases like the common cold or influenza are neutralized within hours of SCP-XXXX-A ingestion. SCP-XXXX-A's effect on cancers is unknown. Testing its effects on anomalous diseases such as SCP-███, SCP-████, and SCP-████ are pending approval.
