Special Containment procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a 10 by 10 room with gas valves and sealed with reinforced plating in the event of a dangerous entity emerging during a flicker event.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a streetlight with no markings and or serial numbers measuring 10 meters in length and weighs 20 kilograms, SCP- XXXX seemingly has an unlimited source of power, where this power is drawn from it is unknown, occasionally (at least 10 times per month) SCP-XXXX will flicker, anything caught in the radius of this flicker will seemingly disappear from our world entirely, anything caught in the flicker will end up in what is now known as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 resembles a post apocalyptic version of earth, recovered materials suggest that the Korean War went to nuclear proportions causing a majority of the world to be irradiated, SCP-XXXX-1s wildlife is mostly comprised of SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX-2 are extremely tall emaciated primitive humans, SCP-XXXX-2 instances surrounding and or inside of the New York region will usually be spotted wearing tribalistic markings of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-2 hunt in a pack based manner when prey (Humans or other instances of SCP-XXXX-2) are nearby, if no prey is nearby and instances of SCP-XXXX-2 begin starving they may resort to cannibalizing the weakest Instance in the pack, if their happens to be a large amount of prey that is too heavily defended for a single pack, 2 to 3 packs might merge to disrupt the heavily defended prey such as: Consuming or destroying rations, Disrupting equipment, and the kidnapping and murder of a single member of the preys group. Following these disruptions SCP-XXXX-2s now larger pack will make a charge at the preys area and attempt to get to them by all and any means. tracking a flicker event with GPS systems and cameras is possible however the GPS system will pinpoint it at ████ New York and any following movements will be in our version of New York but with the absence of the subject,
EXPLORATION LOG SCP-XXXX-1: D-8927 Male age 37 with no mental abnormality’s, Begin log: D-8927: “Okay I’m in, are you seeing my footage?” Command: “Yes D-8927 you may proceed.” A loud clatter from a nearby clothes store is heard and D-8927 flinches D-8927:
“[EXPLETIVES] …. command you hear that?” Command: “Yes D-8927 please proceed and investigate the clothing store.” D-8927: “I don- You know what? It’s not worth arguing with you.” D-8927 signs and enters the clothing store through the broken door D-8927 gags and covers their nose D-8927: “Oh god the stench..” Command:” Please describe the smell.” D-8927: “It smells like [EXPLETIVE] in here, like actual human [EXPLETIVE].” D-8927 points.
the camera at a wall that is seemingly covered with human feces, a partially obscured poster reads “Fight for our allies! Help push them back! Join the US army today!” With an image that depicts a shield with the American flag on it in front of the South Korean flag defending it from gunfire. Near the poster is a door seemingly locked. Command: “D-8927 please proceed through the door on your left”. D-8927 attempts to use the rusted door handle, then proceeds to kick the door down and it easily breaks open. D-8927: “I’m hearing something in here but I can’t see anything.” Command: “Please use the night vision option on your camera.”D-8927: “Got it turning it on no-“ D-8927 turns on the night vision and 2 Tall emaciated humanoids designated SCP-XXXX-2 are wandering around the room D-8927 begins to back away from the room and knocks over a nearby clothes rack getting the attention of the two SCP-XXXX-2 instances D-8927 begins running out of the clothes store with the SCP-XXXX-2 instances in pursuit. D-8927: “Command how do I get out!? Did you lead me here to die!? “Command: “please return to SCP-XXXX for extraction.” D-8927 begins running toward SCP-XXXX as it’s flickering, D-8927 managed to get into the radius of the flicker in time to evade the SCP-XXXX-2 instances, D-8927 was recovered and sent to debriefing.
Addendum: Following the recovery of SCP- XXXX 5 Mobile task force members of Hotel 27 lowdown were sent into SCP-XXXX-1 for exploration with enough supplies to last a month, Below are the audio logs recovered from SCP-XXXXs containment chamber. See incident log January 20██, please note some of the audio logs are corrupted due to damage.
Audio log day 1: “Sergeant Ben, Captain Daniels, Commander Alex, Corporal Raymond, and I have just arrived inside of SCP-XXXX-1, So far no hostile entity’s have been spotted, Sergeant Ben remarks that the interior of SCP-XXXX resembles New York City, The architecture appears to be from the 1940s to 1950s, we are getting basecamp set up atop a nearby gas station, it will give us coverage to survey. End log.”
Audio log day 2: [DATA CORRUPTED]
Audio log day 3: “There are strange occurrences going on in the vicinity of basecamp, the nearby stores are making clattering noises occasionally, we’ve also detected motion moving inside one of them, the glimpses that we’ve seen of this creature show it to be a tall humanoid in advance stages of malnutrition, we will be focusing our camera systems on the area we spotted it in and taking shifts tonight. End log.”

Audio log day 4: “The camera system detected movement and we caught a better look at the creature, it was seemingly looking for a way to reach the roof where basecamp is located so we can assume it has hostile intentions, today we are setting up our defenses we were given before entering, so far we’ve set up a tur- [A screech is heard in the background of the recording] Sergeant Ben get up here! Hostile approaching at high speeds! [The rest of the audio log is corrupted]

Audio log day 27: “Sergeant Ben, Commander Alex and I are the last remaining members of our squad, those creatures have been chasing us every time we try to create a basecamp, they’ve killed corporal Raymond and began to consume his flesh, as for captain Daniels I’m assuming all the stress from the constant relocation and the impossibility of us getting out alive was too much for him, he locked us inside of a store and told us that we shouldn’t have messed with the things we couldn’t explain and how this was our fault, he attempted to leave the mall through the nearby fire exit and that’s when the main doors broke open and the creatures spilled in, I can still see what’s left of him near the exit, we are setting up a defensive line with the racks and shelves inside the store, it’s only a matter of time, I’m giving this log to Commander Alex, we will distract them so he can make his way to the exit.”
Incident log January 20th 20██: What appeared to be MTF hotel 27 lowdown Commander Alex emerged during a flicker event and ran at the reinforced doors in an attempt to escape the containment chamber, 15 seconds later another flicker event occurred and 15 SCP-XXXX-2 entity’s emerged, One of the 15 knocked Commander Alex out and dragged him towards the radius of SCP-XXXX and both disappeared, the remaining SCP-XXXX-1 breached containment resulting in 20 disappearances before they retreated back.
Exploration log 2: 10 D-class personnel equipped with tracking and 5 armed members of the SCP-XXXX research team were sent into SCP-XXXX with various construction materials in order to build a defensive basecamp around SCP-XXXX and send a weather balloon and satellite into the atmosphere. Below are the most recent status reports sent to command during the first ten days
Status report one: Barrier construction has begun, expected to be finished tomorrow, no signs of anyone so far.
Status report two: Barrier is completed, beginning construction of living quarters and preparing the weather ballon.
Status report three: Weather ballon components damaged, all D-class denied responsibility, science team is currently on guard for possible infiltration of SCP-XXXX-2 instance
Status report four: Living quarters completed, moving onto satellite construction, D-2732 has gone missing, security cameras outside do not show him exiting his quarters, the D-Class living quarters are to be locked from now on.
Status report five: Satellite construction and launch is expected to finish in 5 days, requesting 4 guards to be sent to defend the basecamp.
Status report six: guards received, requesting defenses to defend against possible SCP-XXXX-2 attack, multiple spotted nearby watching the area.
Status report seven: Defense successful, a single SCP-XXXX-2 instance was covered in recent blood and had an orange cloth stuck to it, D-2732 confirmed dead.
Status report eight: Satellite construction nearing completion, no further sightings of SCP-XXXX-2 instances has been reported.
Status report nine: Satellite is completed and will be launched tomorrow.
Status report ten: Barrier is holding an all D-class are being sent back through SCP-XXXX,
Requesting more research personnel, satellite has been launched successfully.
Satellite data: Images taken from the satellite reveal that the entirety of SCP-XXXX-1 is in the same state as New York.
