Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently non containable, only incidents of SCP-XXXX-A or SCP-XXXX-B can be contained in a standard D-Class cell at special cognitohazard containment sector [REDACTED].
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cognitohazardous effect currently affecting 1% of the world's population.
The effect works as follows; a prospective SCP-XXXX-B is chosen by SCP-XXXX-A(criteria not yet known), after which SCP-XXXX-A approaches SCP-XXXX-B at a random point in time (usually between 1-2 years).
Then SCP-XXXX-A asks SCP-XXXX-B a question usually relating to philosophy, anthropology or psychology, if SCP-XXXX-B answers satisfactory nothing happens but if SCP-XXXX-A is displeased with the answer he smiles gleefully and walks away, vanishing the moment someone loses sight of him.
After that moment SCP-XXXX-B is infected by SCP-XXXX’s cognitohazardous effect, usually no anomalous effects are noticed except incidents where SCP-XXXX-B is approached by random passersby asking him why he chose his answer(the passerby usually doesn’t remember anything as such no amnestics are needed).
After a period of about 3-6 years anomalous effects begin to manifest; SCP-XXXX-B starts being stalked by SCP-372, this gives SCP-XXXX-B unusually great distress with suicide as a result.
If the SCP-XXXX-B survives this phase the anomalous effects end and SCP-XXXX-B ceases to be and reverts back to non anomalous civilian status, usually with severe psychological trauma.
Addendum: Most of the time when SCP-372 starts stalking SCP-XXXX-B; the SCP-XXXX-B incident assumes the fetal position whispering the same phrase over and over again usually this phrase is something like: “I didn’t know”, “I’m sorry”, “It was not my intention” etc. -Dr. Typho
