Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4237-I-A through SCP4237-I-D vitals and blood nutrition levels are monitored remotely by 2 level 1 scientists via an subdermal implant.
SCP-4237-I's are to be contained sedated within a standard D-class cell modified to have a reclinable bed with restraints and an automated sedation module in the middle and a retractable tube protuding through the celing above the beds headrest. This tube is to be inserted down the SCP-4237-I's oesophagus into their stomach by 4 (one per SCP-4237-I) assigned D-class personell (herafter referred to as "handler") after sedation. The room is also equiped with no less than 2 cameras and 1 automated turret capable of firing tranquilizer/amnistetic rounds to ensure the saftey of SCP-4237-I's when being handeld by a handler. In an event that the turret fires the incapacitaded handler is recoverd via remote drone, reprimanded following SCP-foundation protocol and placed back in to the containment chamber to place the affected SCP-4237-I back onto the bed.
Containment chambers of SCP-4237-I-A through -D are adjacient. The corridor leading to these rooms is to be gaurded at all times by 2 armed gaurds. No personell besides handlers are allowed in the corridor leading up to/and contaiment chambers. All research tasks must be monitered remotely and be preformed by handlers.
Above the contaiment chambers is a room that contains a vat with a volume of 100L connected to the piping of the chambers below. The vat contains a nutrional paste made from readaly available ingredients. Although Ingredients may vary it is heavily recomended that the paste contains all if not more than the requierd vitamin, protien and fiber intake of the average adult male within 5 liters of paste to ensure longlivety of SCP4237-I's. The paste should also be diluted enough so that a steady debit rate of 4L /h (1L /h per mouthpiece) can flow to the chambers below. This flow wil be maintained by one specialized pump with no fewer than 3 back-ups. The remainig space is outfitted with equipment to prepare the paste and a store-room for fresh produce and meats. This room is to be staffed by no less than 3 D-class personell peparing the paste, 1 level 1 scientist moitoring it's nutritional composition and 2 armed guards all in 12-hour shifts.
Every 36 hours (3 shifts) there is a "resting period" in wich no paste preperation is necessary. During this period the preperation room is cleaned by no less than 5 D-class personell guarded by no less than 3 armed guards. During this "resting period" handlers are instructed to bring their assigned SCP-4237-I out of their sedated state after their tubing/restraints have been removed, cleaned and retracted into the celing/bed, and engage them in lesiurely activities. Handlers are encouraged to positively interact with their SCP4237-I's to create an emotional bond. Any attempts to alert the SCP-4237-I of their actual time in sedation will end in imediate administration of a class b amnistetic to both subjects. Even when conversation or activity does not continue handlers are to remain in the contaiment chamber for the entire duration of the "resting period". At the end of the "resting period" SCP-4237-I's will be tired and hungry. They will usually make this known to their Handler. The Handler is required to instruct their SCP-4237-I to lay on the bed with the ruse that they'll be leaving to return quickly with some food. As soon as the SCP-4237-I is comfirmed to be lying down by camera operating staff the automated sedation module will sedate the SCP-4237-I. After a signal handlers re-enter the containment chamber to secure the SCP-4237-I's restraints and re-insert it's tubing.
SCP-4237-O-A through -C's vitals are remotely monitored in the same manner as the SCP-4237-I's.
SCP-4237-O's are to be contained in a large room much like a comunal room in a hospital with 3 beds. SCP-4237-O's are to be kept in an comatose state even during the "resting period". Their urinary - and intestnal tract Is directly connected to an automated waste disposal system and they are constantly connected to a blood diyalisis machine. Nurishment is administerd via IV-drip. They are cared for by 3 Handlers (one per SCP-4237-O) Handlers are required to remain in the containment-room for 8 hours a day during wich they must complete their caring tasks such as checking for and treating bed sores, washing the SPC-4237-O's body, etc. The gaurding of the SCP-4237-O's containment-room happens in the same manner as that of SCP-4237-I's containment. The containment is seperated from the guards by a coridor where no personell except Handlers are allowed. The exit of this corridor is gaurded at all times by two armed guards.
The dilligency with wich Handlers complete their tasks is of no importance it merely serves to safeguard our more valuable personell from SCP-4237-A's effects.
Description:
SCP-4237 is estimated to currently consist of 8 seperate entities.
- 4 are SCP-4237-I-A, -B, -C and -D.
From the outside all of them are normal healthy humans with the exception that they produce no waste even though they have a severely increseased calorie intake. Subjects are also at a near constant weight when nutrition demands are being met. When nutritional intake is decreased to 75% of the optimum subjects expierience intense fits of anger and are not able to be sudued by any known anehstethic. When nutritional intake goes below 60% of optimum the subject will expierence intense muscular atrophy and will remain in this state untill nutrition intake is increased or untilll the subject is a brittle lifeless husk. Brainscans of the subjects reveal that they have an engorged hypothalamus. CAT-scans of the subjects lower bodies during feeding reveal that their stomachs never fill more than what can be considerd half-full even when continuely fed via intubation. How this nutrition is transferred to SCP-4237-A remains a mystery, researchers suspect a spacetime anomely. In the event that an SCP-4237-I dies a person that it has interacted with in the past will take it's place. The administration of class A amnestetics has proven capabale of erasing the percievied bond between the subject and the potential host. In this case a host above the age of 25 but below the age of 50 is randomly chosen in a 100km radius.
- 3 are SCP-4237-O-A, -B and -C .
These are comatose humans wich only porpose seems to be that of waste disposal. They produce excrement at a far grater rate than any normal human would and seems to be consistent with the diet of SCP-4237-I with the exception of cosmic radiation present. The bodies of these subjects seem to be in a state of hibernation wich ensures longlivety even in abcense of care and nutrition. Brainscans have reveald the subjects are braindead. If an SCP-4237-O dies the person who touched them last replaces them. No amnestetic has proven to erase this bond.
