Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX nature there are no determined ways of keeping SCP-XXXX out of the public sphere. SCP-XXXX can randomly appear on any surface that can be written on. When ever an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 is discovered all units of Mobile Task Force Per02 ( "Snake Killers" ) will be immediately dispatched to said activity sight along with 2 D-Class for clean up. Once clean up has been thoroughly executed any instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will be arranged in a park or museum and told on a local news organization of a new art exhibit/piece has been erected. If more than two instances occur at the location all effected idviduals are to be brought to site-██'s underground storage facilites until possible cure is found. Families of turned instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will be told that their relative has gone missing and is presumed dead by MTF agents disguised as local police officers.
Two instances of SCP-XXXX are currently being kept at site-██ with one guard is to be stationed outside the the 10x10x10 meter container at all times to make sure no one enters the containment cell without prior approval. One of the instances dubbed SCP-XXXX-A is a free standing piece of wall in the containment cell taken from its origin from [REDACTED]. Another instance dubbed SCP-XXXX-B found on a standard notecard taken from [REDACTED] is to kept in a standard anomalous locker behind a 6cm steel door adjacent to the containment cell and is to be guarded by the same guard. Only with the approval of two level 4's can testing on SCP-XXXX take place no matter the degree of testing.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an unknown possible combination of charters or pictures that creates a visual cognitohazard. When SCP-XXXX is viewed by any living organism that has any perceivable vision it turns said organism into an instance of SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 is a solid piece of white granite with similar traits to the former organism before being transformed. This can include details such as clothing, hair, facial features (I.E. moles and freckles) and on rare occasions fingerprints. SCP-XXXX's effects do not work on any organism that is blind or vision imapred.

Clean-up Detail SCP-XXXX can be removed by a layer of paint if the surface is applicable to it. If the instance of SCP-XXXX is on a smaller object such as a book, the object may be incinerated as a quick means of disposal. Clean up detail is to be done by two randomly assigned D-class. The D-Class will either cover up or remove the instance while MTF Per02 watches the perimeter of the effected zone to make sure no civilians make eye contact with SCP-XXXX until its removal.

Addendum XXXX: 01
SCP-XXXX was first discoverd on ██/██/20██ (dd/mm/yyyy) When a reported 49 instances of
SCP-XXXX-2 were discovered in [REDACTED]. MTF ReD77 ("First Contact") was dispatched to investigate. Everyone except for Agent Kirkson from the MTF unit became an instance of SCP-XXXX-2. The following is a post investigation interview with Agent Kirkson

Agent Kirkson: Morning Doc…

Dr. Vanyo: You seem quite down

Agent Kirkson: Well did your entire squadron turn into f*** Statues yesterday?

Dr. Vanyo: Please with the language

Agent Kirkson: Ya Whatever

Dr. Vanyo: Can You please tell me what happened Yesterday with you and your squadron?

Agent Kirkson: Well sure, other wise I wouldn't be here right?

Agent Kirkson: It all started when commander Mohammed got a call from H.Q. But like all stuff that comes from there it was not enough to prepare us for what happened

Agent Kirkson: After heading out to the given coordinates we arrived at a small town in [REDACTED]

Agent Kirkson: Mohammed gave us our mission brief and told us to head out around the town and call in when we saw something.

Agent Kirkson: Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until Higgins called over our walkie talkies

Dr. Vanyo: Don't you mean radios? You can at least try and be professional

Agent Kirkson: Who's telling the story here?

Dr. Vanyo: Sorry, continue

Agent Kirkson: Right, so we all go over to him and then there is just, statues. At least fifty of them from what I could tell. All looking at this one spot. It looked horrible.

Agent Kirkson: And it was really weird because there were statues of men, women, children and dogs. All in very high detail

Agent Kirkson: Next, Mohammed told Smith to go investigate and off he went into the crowd of statues. We didn't hear from him for at least thirty minutes.

Agent Kirkson: Then He sent in Higgins and he didn't respond in thirty minutes either. So Mohammed told me to wait here and if he didn't call back in ten make sure to notify command and come look for us.

Agent Kirkson: So ten minutes pass by and I was just about to radio command in when Mohammed gets to me first.

Agent Kirkson: He was in a very tone and serious voice, more than his usual. This is what he said to me…

Agent Kirkson: "Kirkson, listen to me. Everyone is now a statue, there gone. Whatever is on this wall is causing people to turn to statues. I'm coming back right now and we're getting the hell outta here."

Agent Kirkson: And that was the last i heard of him. I'm guessing he looked by mistake. Curiosity probably of the best of him.

Dr. Vanyo: Well thank you for telling everything Agent. This will be most useful.

Agent Kirkson:Hey you better not experiment with that thing OK! we know what it does so we don't need to put people through that alright?

Test A-XXXX - 10/11/2012

Subject: D-1C87S3 holding a standard pen
Procedure: D-1C87S3 will walk into the chamber and look at SCP-XXXX
Results: D-1C87S3 and the pen is now completely made out of black and white granite
Analysis: It seems that anything that is holding an object will also turn into stone along with the subject. This would explain why dogs were also made out of stone in Agent Kirksons interview.

Test B-XXXX - 01/22/2013

Subject: a blinded Sus domesticus (domesticated pig)
Procedure: The subject will be lead into the chamber and eventually look at SCP-XXXX
Results: The subject did not turn to stone
Analysis: It seems that only organisms with applicable vision can cause SCP-XXXX to trigger

+ Test C-XXXX

Test C-XXXX - 06/17/2013

Subject: One remote operated drone with a camcorder attached and one D-Class (D-9OSA71)
Procedure: The camcorder Drone will be let into the chamber containing the instance of SCP-XXXX and record a film. Then D-9OSA71 will watch the footage and see if the effects of SCP-XXXX still has its effects
Results: Apon entering the chamber the drone and camcorder instantly turned to stone and landed on the ground breaking at its weaker points
Analysis: It would appear that anything with peripherals can become under the effect of SCP-XXXX
Additonal Notes from Dr. Vanyo Even if the camcorder was able to record it without turning into stone, whatever SCP-XXXX actually is would've turned D-9OSA71 into stone. remember its the alignment of all the unknown visuals together no matter where they are that turns people into stone.

Test D-XXXX - 01/22/2013

Subject: D-BB19L2 and an instance of SCP-XXXX recently found on a notecard in [REDACTED]
Procedure: D-BB19L2 will be given the notecard. D-BB19L2 will be told to black out sections to the best of his ability with out looking and then look at SCP-XXXX
Hypothesis We believe that SCP-XXXX occurs when all characters/images are aligned together but if the the chain is broken the effects will become null and we'll have a better understanding of what SCP-XXXX is.
Results: D-BB19L2 neatly spent around 30 seconds blacking out 1/4 of the notecard. D-BB19L2 was then told to look at it and they immediately turned to stone.
Analysis: There is no way of actually knowing what SCP-XXXX actually is do to its cognitohazard. A theory would suggest that one SCP-XXXX is created it acts like one singularity rather than said separate characters.
