ÏItem Number: SCP-4924 "Magnus"

Object Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4924 is to be kept in a 7m x 13m cell in Containment Site 045 with simple amenities such as a bed, desk, chair and bookshelf, as well as one 30cm tall, 10cm wide jar of white jellybeans (brand non specific).

SCP-4924 is to be treated with civility and staff should never make physical contact due to Incident-001 (read below)

Description:
SCP- 4924 is a human whose appearance changes every 24 hours. These changes include different height, facial features, eye colour, hair colour, weight and sex (though seems to commonly have the appearance of a white male in his late 20's) . One thing of his appearance that doesnt change, however, is the leather bound book it carries with it in its left hand which is burning seemingly forever.

It is well mannered and eager to answer any and all questions asked as long as it can ask a question in return, the answer doesn't need to be honest, but it may get upset
when lied to. The questions it asks may vary, but are usually something easily answered (ex. "Whats your birthday" "may I know if you have any pets"). It will also ask for trade in return for answers, though what it asks for is seemingly safe and not dangerous.

It does not seem to need to breathe, sleep or eat and dpesnt seem to age or be capable of being damaged, though it has expressed enjoying eating foods such as jellybeans before and may often meditate as a way of rest.

The book it carries seems to be very old and its pages constantly burn, "Magnus" seems to be able to read the book perfectly and doesn't seem to be damaged by the book. Attempts to remove the book from "Magnus" have proven to be unsuccessful (as shown in Incident 001)

Incident 001:
Details: Head Researcher Dr. Verdant and Assistant Head Researcher Dr. Hylus ordered that a D-class Personnel should attempt to take SCP-4924's book to see its reaction. This led to aforementioned D-Class Personnel immediate termination, due to its entire body being engulfed in flame and immediately cremated as soon as it touched "Magnus's" book.

Dr. Verdant's personal note:

Magnus is an extremely important asset to the foundation and has been instrumental in its ability to help the foundation recapture anomalies as well as learn more about some anomalies, as such, should be monitored and treated with respect at all times.
