Special Containment Procedures:
Subject currently not contained. No way to contain SCP-4794 or iterations of SCP-4794-3 has been discovered.

All contained iterations of SCP-4794 are to be kept in light containment in Site-14e, submerged in distilled water. Cleaning is to be performed weekly by 2 D-class personnel under the supervision of 1 guard per iterations of SCP-4794.

Iterations of SCP-4794-2 are currently to be contained in Site-14b and kept in a 3 meter x 3 meter x 3 meter lead case 1.5 centimeters thick at all times other than testing, and submerged in a hydrochloric acid and distilled water solution with a concentration of 0.25% hydrochloric acid. Tank is never to be fully emptied except for during containment failure, during which SCP-4794-2 is to be closely monitored by no less than 3 armed personnel at any time. The hydrochloric acid solution is to have its pH tested once every 7 days. If the pH of solution exceeds 1.2, more hydrochloric acid is to be added in very small amounts directly into solution by D-class personnel. If the pH of solution goes below 1.0, lithium hydroxide is to be added in very small amounts directly into solution by D-class personnel. Iterations of SCP-4794-2 are never to be kept within 100 meters of each other.

Iterations of SCP-4794-1 are currently to be contained in Site-14c and kept in a 3 meter x 3 meter x 3 meter lead case 1.5 centimeters thick at all times other than testing, and submerged in a hydrochloric acid and distilled water solution with a concentration of 0.115% hydrochloric acid. Tank is only to be fully emptied during containment failure and a monthly cleaning. Whenever SCP-4794-1 is out of containment, no less than 2 armed personnel are to be closely monitoring it any time, and during cleaning no more than 1 iteration of SCP-4794-1 are to be outside of containment at any time. The hydrochloric acid solution is to have its pH tested once every 14 days. If the pH of solution exceeds 1.6, more hydrochloric acid is to be added in very small amounts directly into solution by D-class personnel. If the pH of solution goes below 1.4, lithium hydroxide is to be added in very small amounts directly into solution by D-class personnel. Iterations of SCP-4794-1 are never to be kept within 100 meters of each other.

Description:
SCP-4794 appears to be a young adult white male with neck length light brown hair, brown eyes, large sideburns, a neck beard, and a small mustache. He appears to be between 1.75 meters and 2 meters tall, appears average weight, and has average sized muscles. Iterations of SCP-4794-1, SCP-4794-2, and SCP-4794-3 come in many different appearances, so no single description can succinctly describe them. They can often be identified by a strong scent of ranch dressing and salt. Can often be seen lighting anything and everything on fire, with no known proper fire lighting apparatus. Appears to be attracted to large collections of sodium, particularly salt and ranch dressing factories. Upon reaching the source of the sodium, all instances of SCP-4794 will begin immediate consumption of the source, frequently ending in multiple casualties for both the defenders of the sodium source and the instances of SCP-4794. The exact method by which SCP-4794 converts people into SCP-4794-1 is unknown, but he has been seen taking live people and transforming them into SCP-4794-1. It has also been found out that SCP-4794-2 and SCP-4794-3 are very different from each other and SCP-4794-1, with the later iterations apparently coming with time and sodium consumption. Later iterations have more power, but also a much greater craving, making them much more dangerous and difficult to contain. Iterations of SCP-4794-3 have been seen to be more respected as well, leading us to believe that there is a hierarchy within the group, which has been described basically as a cult. SCP-4794 is the main leader, with iterations of SCP-4794-3 being his second in commands. SCP-4794-1 are like lackeys that just do the bidding of their higher ups with no opinion of their own. SCP-4794-2 is in the middle of SCP-4794-1 and SCP-4794-3, relaying orders. This information was gathered by [REDACTED], who were later killed in action.

Addendum:
No definitive reasoning for why instances of SCP-4794 crave sodium so much as been discovered, but it has been seen that, upon consuming sodium, they gain immense power and energy. All experiments where instances of SCP-4794 have been provided with sodium have ended in [REDACTED]. Further experiments that involve sodium are only to be performed under direct order from O5 command.

+ SCP-4794 Incidents

Incident 4794-1
On September 23, 1992, 1 iteration of SCP-4794-3 breached containment from Site-███. Upon breaching containment, ran 276 meters out of facility, sustaining 78 .50 BMG gunshot wounds, and 3 anti-tank rounds. No sign of halting advance was seen, and upon reaching 276 meters away, burrowed down 26 meters to reach a high altitude salt vein. Upon coming into contact, SCP-4794-3 [REDACTED]. Incident had to be covered up as nuclear testing.

Incident 4794-2:
On May 21, 1994, 3 iterations of SCP-4794-1 in adjoining rooms were having their containment units cleaned by 6 separate D-class personnel at the same time. One of the guards on attendance had just come from his lunch break, and had potato chip crumbs on his vest. Upon his entering the room, all 3 iterations of SCP-4794-1 went from docile to extremely aggressive. Before the other guards attending the cleaning had any chance to react, all 3 iterations of SCP-4794-1 had already surrounded the guard with the crumbs. They then lunged at him, ripping his vest apart to get at all residual sodium, and clawed open his major arteries, draining all sodium from his blood. Rampage continued for 15 hours, 42 minutes. 351 personnel killed and 1/3 of Site-14e light containment was destroyed. Containment breach of 23 other iterations of SCP-4794-1 and 4 iterations of SCP-4794-2 was sustained. Object class changed from Euclid to Keter. More detailed special containment instructions introduced.

+ SCP-4794 Tests

Test A - January 6, 1991

Subject: D-7944

Procedure: D-7944 was instructed to bathe an iteration of SCP-4794-1 after repeatedly beating its head into one of his holding cell's walls.

Results: Upon reaching the bathing room and being locked inside the room, D-7944 attempted to lead SCP-4794-1 to the bath. When SCP-4794-1 touched the water, it was reported that his leg immediately went limp, and SCP-4794-1 struggled away from the bath. D-7944 was instructed to get SCP-4794-1 into the bathtub. When D-7944 attempted to direct SCP-4794-1 back to the bath, SCP-4794-1 lashed out and attempted to drown D-7944. D-7944 pushed SCP-4794-1 over himself and into the water. SCP-4794-1 did not leave the bath. 2 guards entered the room, 1 guard escorted D-7944 out of the bathing room, and 1 guard attempted to pull SCP-4794-1 out of the water. SCP-4794-1 put up no struggle, and only gained his energy back when dried off. D-7944 was terminated.

Analysis: Iterations of SCP-4794 are weakened when submerged in water, with more pure water seeming to have a more powerful weakening effect. Iterations of SCP-4794 are to be kept in pools of distilled water in the future.

Test B - October 25, 1992

Subject: D-2819, D-7782

Procedure: SCP-4794-1 was brought to an active minefield accompanied by 3 armed guards and 2 D-class personnel. SCP-4794-1 was informed that, were they able to escort both D-class personnel to the other side of the 5 kilometer minefield, that they would be provided with 2 liters of ranch dressing.

Results: Upon being informed of his reward upon completion, SCP-4794-1 stood more at attention. They stood there for almost 5 minutes, seemingly thinking about his next move. They then grabbed both D-class personnel by the wrist and dragged them into the minefields at speeds exceeding Mach-3. Within 5 seconds of starting, all mines in a straight line from the starting point to the ranch had detonated. All that remained of the 2 D-class personnel were their wrists, with the rest of the arm and the hands ripped off. No trace of the D-class personnel was found. SCP-4794-1 argued that they brought the D-class personnel to the other side, though not whole. We then realized we never said they needed to be alive. They were given the ranch, reluctantly.

Analysis: Upon further investigation, it appears that minefields are ineffective for containment, and they have incredible problem solving abilities. It has also been shown that they rapidly regenerate their wounds when they receive sodium. The power gained from being promised sodium was immense, but they became a lot more docile when provided with ranch dressing. Further research is required for why exactly it relaxes them.

Test C - February 17, 1993

Subject: Dr. D█████

Procedure: After hearing SCP-4794-2 complain about wanting sodium so badly, Dr. D█████ got fed up with her and decided to give her a 5 kilogram block of pure sodium to shut her up. Permanently.

Results: Once they received the block of sodium, SCP-4794-2 immediately started to consume the block. SCP-4794-2 took her time eating the block, they weren't in any rush, and the flames of sodium reacting with water soon sparked. SCP-4794-2 didn't seem to care, nor did they care about the fact that sodium hydroxide was forming in her mouth. Dr. D█████ watched in shock as the entire block of sodium disappeared into SCP-4794-2's mouth. When the whole block was gone, SCP-4794-2 had immense amounts of energy and almost initiated a containment breach. 8 D-class personnel were sent in with 1 liter of distilled water to attempt to restrain SCP-4794-2. 5 of the D-class personnel died, but the remaining 3 were able to put SCP-4794-2 back into containment.

Analysis: Any form of sodium, even metallic sodium, has only positive effects on SCP-4794. Powerful bases were shown not to have any negative effect on SCP-4794. The 3 D-class personnel sustained severe chemical burns, and were terminated. Dr. D█████ was demoted to assistant researcher.

Test D - February 28, 1993

Subject: Assistant researcher Dr. D█████

Procedure: Assistant researcher Dr. D█████ wasn't able to get the results he wanted with his last experiment, so he was able to get approved to test the effect of concentrated acids on SCP-4794-2. D-3853 was instructed to remove SCP-4794-2 from containment and pour 1 liter of a 1M solution of hydrochloric acid, 1 liter of a 5M solution of hydrochloric acid, and 1 liter of a 12M solution of hydrochloric acid on her.

Results: SCP-4794-2 had began to move and regain strength after being removed from his water bath. D-3853 was ordered to pour the 1M solution on her. He did so, and SCP-4794-2 immediately stopped all movement. No chemical burns could be seen. After 5 minutes, D-3853 was ordered to pour the 5M solution on her. He did so, and SCP-4794-2 didn't react, but slight chemical burns could be seen forming. D-3853 was ordered to pour the 12M solution on her. He did so, and SCP-4794-2 sustained severe chemical burns. The acid ate through her skin and muscles, leaving the bones behind.

Analysis: Acid is highly effective against SCP-4794. Acids of pH 0 seem to have little physical effect on SCP-4794, though they have an immense pacifying effect. More powerful acids have strong physical effects, and the same pacifying nature. Acid was considered as possible for containment, but deemed unnecessary. D-3853 was terminated. Dr. D█████ was promoted to D-class.

Test E - June 2, 1994

Subject: Dr. B██████

Procedure: Dr. B██████ was instructed to perform an autopsy on an iteration of SCP-4794-1 that was killed but sustained few injuries besides from a number of gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Body was the only casualty among the iterations of SCP-4794-1 and SCP-4794-2. Dr. B██████ was also instructed to analyze a blood sample from SCP-4794-2 to find similarities between SCP-4794-1 and SCP-4794-2.

Results: Dr. B██████ took a blood sample from SCP-4794-1's corpse. Upon analysis, SCP-4794-1 was found to have a blood sodium content of 230 mmol/L and SCP-4794-2 had a blood sodium content of 285 mmol/L. Everything else seemed within normal parameters for both SCP-4794-1 and SCP-4794-2's blood. SCP-4794-1 was found to have engorged kidneys which were completely saturated with sodium. The kidneys shouldn't have been still functioning, but they seemed as though they were still functioning until death. All other organs suffered severe damage from the sheer amount of sodium in their bloodstream. There is no way that a human in these conditions should be alive.

Analysis: The blood sodium content of iterations of SCP-4794 seemed to directly correlate which type they were, with the higher blood sodium content leading to the higher power of SCP-4794-2. Kidneys seem to be overworked to the point where they shouldn't be functional. Their usefulness as a weak spot on SCP-4794 is uncertain, but likely.

Interviewed: SCP-4794-1

Interviewer: Dr. R██████

Foreword: Dr. R██████ went into SCP-4794-1's containment after getting word that it showed understanding of the English language. Dr. R██████ was accompanied by 2 armed guards during the interview.

<Begin log, October 21, 1992, 2:31>

Interviewer: Hello, SCP-4794-1. It has come to my attention that you can speak our language. Would you give me a sign that this is a correct judgement?

SCP-4794-1 Grunts and looks up at Dr. R██████

Interviewer Visibly pleased: Excellent! Now, if you wouldn't mind I have a few questions that I have to ask you. You don't exactly have any choice in the matter, but I would appreciate it if you acknowledged my request.

SCP-4794-1 Sighs: …Yes…

Interviewer Clearly shocked they can actually speak: Oh, well, let's get started shall we? So, my first question is what the correlation between you guys and sodium is. Why does it make you gain so much power?

SCP-4794-1 Silence

Interviewer: I thought we were going to be cooperative? Do we need an incentive, such as… some salt?

SCP-4794-1: …Yes…

Interviewer: So, can we get an answer to my question?

SCP-4794-1: …Not sure… …Master said eat… …Sodium empowers…

Interviewer: Power? What type of power?

SCP-4794-1: …Physical strength… …So much…

Interviewer: So you gain a lot of physical strength when you consume sodium. Would you be able to demonstrate the type of physical power that you gain when you eat sodium?

SCP-4794-1: …Yes…

Interviewer: Great, well in that case you will be shipped back to containment and we will bring you sodium when it's time for you to do the experiment.

Closing Statement: After being informed that they would not receive his sodium for the interview, SCP-4794-1 seemed to go into a depressive state, and went entirely limp. D-4464 was instructed to carry him back to containment.

Interviewed: SCP-4794-2

Interviewer: Dr. M███████

Foreword: Interview was requested by O5 command for unknown reasons. Dr. M███████ was instructed to question SCP-4794-2 about involvement with the Soviet Union. Dr. M███████ was accompanied by 4 armed guards, each with 2 1 liter bottles of 10M hydrochloric acid.

<Begin log, December 22, 1995, 22:11>

Interviewer: Greetings, SCP-4794-2. It has been requested that I ask you about involvement in Soviet Union. If you have any idea as to what this means, or the nature of this question, it would be appreciated if you could tell us.

SCP-4794-2: What's in it for me?

Interviewer: Well, we were considering providing a reward, such as some salt…

SCP-4794-2: How much?

Interviewer: That depends on how much information you give us. You could get anywhere from none to, oh, I don't know, let's say 10 kilograms.

SCP-4794-2: What do you want to know?

Interviewer: I'm not sure, really, just any involvement you and the other iterations of SCP-4794, particularly the SCP-4794, had in its running, collapse, stuff like that.

SCP-4794-2 Thinks for a minute: Well, if I'm being honest, I'm not really sure of the full extent of our involvement. I was converted initially to what you guys would call SCP-4794-1 in around April of 1952. At that point there was already a pretty big infiltration of us in their government, particularly what you would call an iteration of SCP-4794-3 was at the head of their government since some time in 1924 I think. About a year after I was first indoctrinated into the cult, the guy had several issues with our master, and was eliminated from the cult. This wasn't when he died, but his ability to handle sodium was removed. He did wind up dying the next morning from a stroke, because of just how high his blood pressure was from the sodium.

Interviewer: Hold on just a second, I want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly. Are you telling me that Joseph Stalin was in your… you called it a cult, right? And on top of that he was one of the higher ranking members of your cult?

SCP-4794-2: That's correct. He was one of the most trusted individuals for a time, or so I have been told. No idea why he was named as an enemy, but that was close to the end of our involvement with them. We did keep some insiders, of course, up until the very end. We were even responsible for the collapse. You might have heard the stories about how Pepsi was responsible for the collapse of the Soviet Union. This isn't entirely true, though there was a lot of Pepsi purchased. Our members were pretty trusted in their government, and so they were able to mess with the budget. Naturally, they spent unnatural amounts of money on ranch dressing. This was when I gained my rank, what you call SCP-4794-2. They spent so much money on ranch that the Soviets weren't able to pay for the Pepsi or any other debts with money, so they started selling other things. This kept going until their collapse almost 4 years ago. That was a sad time, and around when I was caught. I know nothing else about our involvement.

Interviewer: Okay. Thank you very much for your cooperation. I will have the salt you were promised delivered to your containment unit within the next 24 hours.
