Special Containment Procedures: [The containment of SCP-4435 is more of an observation of the phenomenon Itself. Members of the foundation are sent to the location that SCP-4435 is currently located in to pose as workers while D-Class personnel make direct contact with the phenomenon as it unfolds. Members of the foundation are clothed to fit the theme of the location the phenomenon is taking place in while D-Class Personnel are dressed as civilians.]
Description: [SCP-4435 is a phenomenon that appears to happen at random across the globe. Info stating the SCP's physical appearance (if it has one) has still yet to be recorded. As far as records show, it has no body making its containment impossible. SCP-4435 shows no malicious or aggressive behaviors towards other lifeforms. It seems it would much rather help those who come in contact with it.]
[The SCP takes up residence in old run down buildings. It then breathes a sudden life back into the building, attracting people to its location. If the building was a theater at some point, movies from the theaters time are shown. If the building is an old general store, the inventory would appear as it was while it was still in business. SCP-4435 usually only affects those who have visited the location of its choice before said location closed down, though this is not always the case (see addendum 1 for more details).]
[All personnel are observed before they are able to enter the premise of SCP-4435's location. Studies show that those who have led a happy or fulfilling life are unaffected. The building appears as is to them. A simple run down building. For those with a history of mental illness and or depression/anxiety the building seems brand new with workers (who have been all but confirmed as a part of SCP-4435, now referred to as SCP-4435-1). These "employees" differentiate with no single one appearing outside of its set location. What "employee" has been seen at one sight will not be seen at another.]
[The researches who are posing as workers do not always see the building as brand new. Those that don't, study the actions of those that do. The researchers that do, also conduct a list of studies as well.]
[The first appearance of SCP-4435 was documented in █████ ██, an over looked small town in the Appalachian Mountain Trail. The building, an old high school named ██ ███████, was last opened in 19██. The first person to enter SCP-4435 at this time was interviewed (see addendum 2). The person later joined the foundation now going under the alias of Dr. William Francis.]
[Studies have also sown that those who do experience the affects of SCP-4435 are granted with a single sleep of 8 hours. After awaking from this sleep, many have stated that their sleeps felt lengthy. All documented slumbers are dreamless.]
Addendum 1: [An unidentified male appeared at the research site. Security patrols have no record of seeing this man beforehand. All surveillance footage fails to show where this person entered from. Those who spotted the man stated that he appeared to be finding amusement in the reactions of those observing the site. Records also show several mentions of him letting out a hearty laugh, however, he never spoke. Before taking his leave, the unidentified man hugged one of the researches (D-Class unit 5882) and congratulated him. The man has yet to be seen again. Then man is refereed to as Kurt do the similarities, in his description, to the late singer of Nirvana. The contact that D-Class unit 5882 had with the unidentified man was later recorded in an interview by Dr. William Francis.]
[The following is text stripped from the audio log of the interview. Throughout the recording a few listeners have stated thy can hear wind chimes of many different materials in the background (no wind chimes were present during any of the recordings regarding SCP-4435). In the following recording, time stamp 0:45; a select handful of researchers confirm chimes can be heard for approximately 5 to 6 seconds and again at 1:00 for 7 seconds. Study has shown that those who have heard this are also able to see the affects of SCP-4435 at the sites of its choosing. Those who do not hear the chimes, see nothing. The site in question is from the 3rd investigation of SCP-4435. It was an old music store in located in ███████ █ named █████. The store was documented as a provider records and instruments. It was last opened in 20██]

Dr. William Francis: [Howdy. How are ya feeling this morning?]
D-Class unit 5882: [Amazing. Best sleep I have had in awhile, Doc!]
Dr. William Francis: [Good! Glad to hear it. So you saw our mystery man yesterday, huh?]
D-Class unit 5882: [Yes. Twice even.]
Dr. William Francis: [Okay lets hear about the first siting.]
D-Class unit 5882: [The first time I saw him was when I was manning the counter. He was over near the ukulele's. I could of sworn he was playing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".]
Dr. William Francis: [Iz. Good ukulele player. What did the man look like?]
D-Class unit 5882: [He was wearing a levi jacket, khaki pants and sandels. Looked like he fell out of the 60s or 70s. Bright brown hair that was down to his neck and red facial hair. Kind of like a Jesus beard.]
Dr. William Francis: [Yeah that fits our description. We have yet to show you the image of him from the recording so here you go. [the clicking of a lock, likely a suitcase, can be heard as well as a shuffle of paper] He is exactly as you described him. We don't think he is a part of SCP-4435-1. If he was, he would of been a worker. As of today, ██/██/██ he has yet to of ever been seen. For all we know he could of been at many other sites. I am also told that he spoke to you, correct?]
D-Class unit 5882: [Yeah. That is the second time I saw him. He leaned in and placed his hand on my shoulder. Real firm grip. Like…like a father.]
Dr. William Francis: [What did he say?]
D-Class unit 5882: […Congratulations, kid…That is all he said.]
Dr. William Francis: [I believe you. Well next up you will be going under another mental examination. Just to make sure we have everything on file. Anything else before we escort you to the examination room?]
D-Class unit 5882: [There was one other thing. I don't know if it would be worth much , but he had a very distinctive scent. He smelt like jasmine.]

*Addendum 2:** [An interview was conducted on the first person to enter SCP-4435. The interview was held at a nearby site in ██████ ██. The wind chimes can be heard in this log as well (time stamp; 0:30) for 9 seconds, however, all documented studies show that each listener only hear bamboo chimes.]

Prof. █████: [Hello. I'm guessing you would be the feller I was told to wait for?]
Interviewer: [That's me. Yes. How was your trip here? Not too dull, hopefully.]
Prof. █████: [No. Not at all. Had my audio books on the way over. I was entertained. Been listening to some Sumerian History lately.]
Interviewer: [Ah, a History Professor. Right. That was in your bio. So are you ready to begin?]
Prof. █████: [Absolutely.]
Interviewer: [Very well then. Let us begin. So I see that you attended ██ ███████ in your younger days. That correct?]
Prof. █████: [Yes. Class of ████].
Interviewer: [Right that would have been ██ years ago. You do look well for your age, though I must admit one thing. The photo we have of you that we used to track you down, along with your post about the phenomenon you experienced, was all found on your social media profile. The photo you used for a profile picture was taken from inside the site of the phenomenon, not too long ago at all. Your eyes seem much different. They make you seem like a new man.]
Prof. █████: [Oh yeah. The bags under my eyes. You get many a sleepless night when you work at a college. Grading tests and all that. The only thing that keeps you alive at that point is coffee. But yes, after I got home from the old school I slept like a rock. It felt like I was asleep for years.]
Interviewer: [Asleep for years? Hmmm…Could you…describe the sleep? Did you have any dreams?]
Prof. █████: [None. It was as if I had only laid down and blinked once.]
Interviewer: [Yet you say it felt like you had been asleep for years?]
Prof. █████:: [Yes. I know it sounds weird, but it is what it is. Going in and out of REM was as fast as blinking and yet somehow it also felt like years. I'm sorry, but I just don't know how else to explain it.]
Interviewer: [So within a simple blink, you became fully recharged.]
Prof. █████: [Right! I mean, I'm not complaining! I would love to be able to sleep that way every night.]
Interviewer: [Well that is actually good to know.]
Prof. █████: [It is?]
Interviewer: [We have observed your salary at your current position. Being a history professor doesn't seem to be paying to much these days.]
Prof. █████: [You're telling me.]
Interviewer: [I am aware. Which is why we at the facility have a proposition for you. We would be willing to pay you double than what the college is paying you if you were to come and work for us.]
Prof. █████: […Excuse me?]
Interviewer: [Yes. Quite honestly, Prof. █████, we feel like you would be a great asset for us. I can only explain more about the phenomenon if you choose to take the job. Should you choose against it you will be going back to your normal life, I assure you. Nothing will change. Though should you choose to further your studies with us while allowing us to study your sleep patterns, your way of living will become very different. We would also need more info about what it is you witnessed during the phenomenon.]
Prof. █████: […This is a lot at once. I don't even know what I saw or why you are asking me what I saw. You are acting like this is a common thing. Buildings don't just rebuild themselves over night. Like, is there more of this type of thing out there? Why did the military have to roll in?]
Interviewer: [All these questions will be answered should you choose to join our cause and undergo a few sleep studies.]
Prof. █████: [Could you…let me undergo a few sleep studies before I make up my mind about the rest?]
Interviewer: [Absolutely. We also have a few more questions about what it is you saw, but for now, allow me to show you to your room. Your personal belongings have already been moved there.]
Prof. █████: [Of course they have.]
