Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be kept in a small 3 by 3 meter room with only one entrance via a steel locked door with two guards present at all times. Every angle of the inside of the room is covered with a total of 16 cameras including 4 additional camereas outside watching the reinforced steel doors and guards. The walls are to be encased with 6ft thick steel and lead to prevent any explosive damage from break in attempts. The object is to be kept in a standard military grade gun locker, in the centre of room. The object is to be kept in the gun locker disassembled at all times and can only be assembled for testing purposes. The room is be dehumidified as to prevent any further oxidizing of the metal composite of the object.
Description: Scp xxxx (nicknamed "the oneindiggeweer," dutch for unending/infinite rifle) is a bolt action rifle, chambered in 8mm mauser (7.92x55mm) ammunition, the rifle is made up of a Gewehr 98's base, reciever and bolt, but almost every other parts of the rifle are replaced with parts of various other WWI era rifles. Including a scope from a MkI Lee Enfield, a M1891 Mosin-Nagant's barrel and bayonet, the trigger and trigger guard and various other parts such as the some parts of the chamber and even the striking pin come from a m1903 Springfield. All parts are modified near machine grade perfection to fit the Original Gewehr's body.
Addendum: The most noticeable anomaly of the rifle is its ability to fire an unlimited amount of times at an increased fire rate than normally possible with a bolt action rifle, this doesn't require the clip to be loaded or even it to be full, it only requires a single initial bullet in the chamber. this comes from the second and less understood anamlous properties of the rifle, that being its effect on the user and targets.
When someone fires scp-xxxx on another living thing, the person must aim for a direct headshot or direct centre mass. If this criteria is met for the initial shot, the user becomes invisible to all other living observers but tests have shown the user and rifle are visible in visual media such as photographs, or video but no audio is able to be percieved, even by technological means. But any of these photos will present the user in an unknown military uniform and as a standard gewher. Despite the gewher being standard issue to german soldiers of wwI, the uniform remains of unknown nationality and origin.
The user will then experience time dialation, making them percieve time to be passing much slower than it actually is, effectively making them able to make decisions quicker, this is also accompanied by extreme increase in dexterity and vision. Tests have even shown individuals have become blind can regain sight for the duration of the rifles use.
The user must then make each consecutive shots on the head. If the user misses, even if hitting centre mass, the rifle's anamolous properties temporarily seize, the gun jams and the user is no longer invisible. In some instances the users even glow, highlighting themselves in dark environments.
The bullets fired by SCP-xxxx are able to kill any creature with a single shot to wherever the brain is located. If the creature has not a brain or otherwise differing anatomy then the rifles criteria for the consecutive shots change to centre mass shots instead of to the head/brain. This effect even retains for various SCP's, it is this reasoning for SCP-XXXX's classification as safe. As the rifle alone is not a threat and can be utilized by the foundation to neutralize various SCP's
The gun is heavily wasted and damaged, it cannot be cleaned or repaired at all despite the foundations best efforts. Once a single part of scp-XXXX is removed the rifle loses its anamolous properties and becomes a mundane and poorly functioning rifle, this even happens if the empty clip is removed. If put back together it will instantaneously resume its properties without any change in its activation criteria.
