special containment procedures:
SCP-4981 is to be contained in a small black box. the box is accustomed to the contours of the controller-like-shape of SCP-4981. The box itself resides in Storage Unit ███, in Site ██.SCP-4981 is to be guarded by a minimum of 2 security guards at all times due to its anomalous properties.
Activation of SCP-4981 requires a level 4 personnel authorization. Due to how dangerous it could be.
Description:SCP-4981 is a controller-looking object that morphs the preferred controller of the user. When SCP-4981 comes into contact with a human it turns into a slime-like substance before quickly solidifying into another controller.SCP-4981 doesn't require any outside power source (like batteries). Once SCP-4981 is done morphing a small blue indicator will appear above the nearest object or person.the max distance seems to be around a 10-20 feet radius. Once a selection button has been pressed SCP-4981 will begin to control the person or object and the subject holding SCP-4981 will cease all motions besides blinking and moving the controller. Once the object or person is possessed the subject is able to move as if it were their own body, gaining any attribute that the object or person possesses. the person is also able to continue possessing any entity until the person holding SCP-4981 is killed or disturbed.
Test #1: subject █ possesses a 7cm tall rubber ball. the subject is able to reach speeds up to 30 mph while rolling and able to jump up to 17 ft into the air. the subject was able to see in a third-person view
Test #2: subject █ possesses a guard and kills 1 other guard, before being shot in the head by another guard
note: guard went limp before waking about 10 minutes later, having no prior memory of him being possessed. (all living things seem to experience this effect once unpossessed)
make sure to check subjects for criminal backgrounds
Test #3: subject █ is prompted to possess SCP-682 and is let out containment for a brief 10 minutes, while out of containment the subject (though in an aggressive attitude) was fully functional over SCP-682 and was put back into containment.
note: maybe we could use this to capture loose SCP's?
