Procedure: Four D-class subjects are to be placed in four different test chambers. All the test chambers must be isolated from the others. The chambers must share a wall with at least one other chamber. A total of three two way drawers are installed in the chambers so items can be exchange between subjects in security. In each chamber there is also a special mount containing two small video cameras simulating a pair of human eyes connected to monitor that splices both images together in real time to create image, similar to the way stereoscopic sight works. The mount must have the possibility to place SCP-178 in front of the cameras without the aid of a subject. Footage from every pair of cameras can be broadcasted on the monitors of all the four chambers, so the subjects can see if needed what the cameras captured in the others chambers. The four chambers must be made soundproof so the subjects can not ear one another. The four test chambers are to be observed remotely via audio and video recording devices, via infra-red cameras, electromagnetic radiation sensors and motion detectors.
All subjects will have general knowledge of the properties of SCP-178. Starting from the first subject all subjects are instructed to wear SCP-178 and look if any entities are present in the chamber, exchanging SCP-178 between the chambers using the two way drawer. If entities are reported to be present in all the chambers, the test will end. If a chamber will be reported to have no entities in it, the subject inside will be asked to pass SCP-178 to the others chambers and watch the recording after SCP-178 is installed on the mount. The subjects with entities inside will the be asked to punch in the direction of the entities.

Results: Subject 1 (D-49938, Male, 35, no discernible mental abnormality), Subject 2 (D-7325, Male, 28, no discernible mental abnormality), Subject 3 (D-9318, Male, 39, no discernible mental abnormality) and Subject 4 (D-5766, Female, 23, no discernible mental abnormality) are placed in the test chambers. The test chambers are one next to the other and contain from left to right Subject 1, Subject 2, Subject 3 and Subject 4. SCP-178 is inside Subject 1 chamber. Subject 1 is instructed to wear SCP-178 and inquired on the presence and number of entities. Subject 1 wears SCP-178 and immediately states with disgust "I can see two [EXPLETIVE DELETED] monsters." Subject 1 is instructed to take off SCP-178 and put it in the two way drawer. Subject 1 is also instructed to never speak to the entities for any reason and don't interact with them if not said otherways. Subject 1 quickly take off SCP-178, go near the drawer, open it and put SCP-178 inside. It then closes the drawer and sits on the floor, shocked, head down. Subject 2 is instructed to take SCP-178 from the drawer, wear it and tell if it can see any entities and if yes, how many. Subject 2 wears SCP-178 with hesitation and then state "Holy [EXPLETIVE DELETED], this things are ugly as [EXPLETIVE DELETED]". Subject 2 is instructed again to answer if it can see any entities and how many. Subject 2 state "Yes, yes. I can see one [EXPLETIVE DELETED] entity." Subject 2 is instructed to take off SCP-178 and put it in the drawer on the right. Subject 2 is also instructed to never speak to the entities for any reason and don't interact with them if not said otherways. Subject 2 slowly take off SCP-178, walk near the drawer on the right, open it and put SCP-178 inside. Subject 2 then close the drawer and try to stay as close to the wall as possible. Subject 3 is instructed to wear SCP-178 and inquired on the presence and number of entities. Subject 3 wears SCP-178 and look around for a minute. It then state "I can't see any entities." Subject 3 is instructed to take off SCP-178 and put it back in the drawer on the left. Subject 3 do as told. Subject 2 is instructed to take SCP-178 from the drawer and put it on the mount, in front of the cameras. Looking around after every step Subject 2 take SCP-178 from the drawer and put it on the mount. On the monitor in the chamber of Subject 3 is shown what the cameras behind SCP-178 are recording. Subject 3 is inquired to describe that it sees. Subject 3 state "So this is one of the entities? The thing is looking at the guy. I think. Does he have eyes? I can't see any eyes. Anyway, he is really close to him, right in front." Subject 2 is instructed to punch the air in front of him. Subject 2 uncooperative. Subject 2 is reminded that uncooperative behavior is grounds for termination. Subject 2 hit with a quick punch the air in front. Nothing stops the punch in his movement. After 0.4 seconds, lacerations appear on Subject 2 on the right arm and the chest. 2 seconds after the punch lacerations appear on the face and chest of Subjects 1 and the chest of Subject 4. Subject 3 state “[EXPLETIVE REDACTED], what a [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] way to die.” Subject 3 is inquired to describe what it saw. Subject 3 state scared “Suddenly there where three sharp claws on the creature’s limbs and he attacked the guy.” Audio output from Subject 3 chamber is broadcasted in the chamber with SCP-178 in it. Subject 3 is instructed to speak to the entity. Subject 3 state in a low frightened voice “Hi?”. Subject 3 makes a couple of steps away from the monitor. Subject 3 state “He is hitting the wall, I think he wants to kill me next. Are we done? I want to go away from this [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] test, you [EXPLETIVE REDACTED]”. No changes occur for 287 minutes. Subject 3 state “Wait, I can’t see the monster anymore. Where the [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] is now?” Subject 3 fell down hysterically and starts punching the floor. Subject 3 state “I am going to dye. I am the next one. I am going to [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] die!”. No changes occur for 70 minutes. Research staff announces the end of the experiment.
D-9318 and the chamber are put on quarantine. Food is brought to D-9318 through the two way drawer. On day 2 of the quarantine D-9318 ask for the chamber to be cleaned from waste. Permission denied. On day 30 the quarantine is lifted and D-9318 is reassigned. Class C Amnestic administrated to stabilize the psyche.
SCP-178 is recovered with the footage from the cameras. The footage shown the punch from subject 2 hitting the entity in the upper part of the body. Comparison with normal footage of the same action show apparent discrepancy. The footage is also of no use regarding the disappearance of the entity. In just one frame the entity simply isn't recorded anymore. More data needed.

Notes: I never understood why the tennis ball from 178-e-3 wasn't shown hitting anything but in 178-e-7 the entities were reported to hit the bulletproof glass. Maybe the entities can be damaged with a more severe injury, even if we can't normally see any collision.
